Description
This disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing an electrostatic precipitator that can be applied to the installation or renovation of electrostatic precipitators.
An electrostatic precipitator (EP) removes soot particles (also called dust or particulate matter) contained in exhaust gas and air before they are released into the atmosphere from a chimney or other source. An electrostatic precipitator is equipped with a discharge electrode that charges the particles, and a collection electrode that is positioned opposite the discharge electrode. Corona discharge occurs at the discharge electrode, ionizing the gas molecules, and particles contained in the exhaust gas, etc. become charged when they pass through the electric field between the electrodes. The charged particles are then collected by the collection electrode.
The following Patent Document 1 discloses a method for constructing an electrostatic precipitator roof, and discloses that in order to eliminate work at height and increase work efficiency, a roof unit is formed on the ground by integrating a frame and roofing panels, and then the roof unit is hoisted by a crane and carried onto the building.
The ceiling of the electrostatic precipitator serves as a roof for the electrostatic precipitator exposed to the outdoors. As shown in FIG. 7, the
The
The temperature inside the electrostatic precipitator can reach high temperatures of 100°C to 400°C due to the influence of the exhaust gas temperature. This causes the
In the above-mentioned configuration, a temperature difference occurs between the
This disclosure has been made in light of these circumstances, and aims to provide a method for manufacturing an electrostatic precipitator that can absorb the thermal expansion difference between the exterior panel and the ceiling casing, and reduce or prevent the occurrence of cracks or breakage due to the thermal expansion difference.
In order to solve the above problems, the manufacturing method of the electric dust collector of the present disclosure employs the following measures.
In other words, the manufacturing method for an electric dust collector disclosed herein includes the steps of fixing multiple rod-shaped first column members having a circular cross section by welding so that they are perpendicular to the outer surface of a plate-shaped ceiling casing, arranging long beam members horizontally and connecting the beam members to the tips of the multiple fixed first column members by welding, and placing and fixing a plate-shaped exterior panel on the upper surfaces of the beam members connected to the first column members.
According to the present disclosure, it is possible to absorb the difference in thermal expansion between the exterior panel and the ceiling casing, thereby reducing or preventing the occurrence of cracks or breakage due to the difference in thermal expansion.
Hereinafter, an electric dust collector 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings.
An electric dust collector 1 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is installed in an exhaust gas treatment facility provided in a flue downstream of an industrial combustion facility such as a coal-fired or heavy oil-fired power plant or an incinerator.
The electrostatic precipitator 1 is equipped with a discharge electrode that charges particles to remove dust, mist, and other particles, a dust collection electrode that is positioned opposite the discharge electrode, and a hammering device that drops particles attached to the dust collection electrode into a hopper at the bottom.
As shown in Figure 1, the structure of an electrostatic precipitator 1 is usually a steel frame structure, and can be broadly divided into an
The configuration of the
The
The
The
In the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Unlike the conventional method, the
Next, we will explain the construction method for the
First, multiple rod-shaped
Then, the plate-shaped
The above steps form the
When renovating the electrostatic precipitator 1, the existing ceiling is first removed. Specifically, the existing charging device and hammering device are removed, and then the existing exterior panels, the support structure that supports the exterior panels, and the thermal insulation material are removed. This exposes the
Next, referring to Figure 6, we will explain another method of supporting the
There are cases where dents in the
As shown in FIG. 6, the
The construction method of the

As a result, the
In the disclosure of the above-mentioned Patent Document 1 (JP Patent Publication No. 10-8754), the roof unit is installed on the header plate (ceiling casing), which is structurally different from the
As described above, according to this embodiment, since the
The method for manufacturing the electric dust collector according to each of the above-described embodiments can be understood, for example, as follows.
The manufacturing method of the electric dust collector disclosed herein includes the steps of fixing multiple rod-shaped first column members having a circular cross section by welding so that they are perpendicular to the outer surface of a plate-shaped ceiling casing, arranging a long beam member horizontally and connecting the beam member to the tips of the multiple fixed first column members by welding, and placing and fixing a plate-shaped exterior panel on the upper surface of the beam member connected to the first column member.
According to this configuration, multiple rod-shaped first column members with circular faces are fixed by welding so that the longitudinal direction of the first column members is perpendicular to the outer surface of the plate-shaped ceiling casing, and the long beam members arranged horizontally are connected to the tips of the multiple fixed first column members by welding. In addition, a plate-shaped exterior panel is placed on and fixed to the upper surface of the beam members.
In the manufacturing method of the electrostatic dust collector disclosed above, the first column members connected to the beam member may all have a circular cross section.
With this configuration, the multiple first pillar members connected to the girder members all have a circular cross section, so unlike when the cross section of the first pillar members connected to both ends of the girder members is not circular, the exterior panel is not constrained against the ceiling casing.
In the manufacturing method of the electrostatic dust collector disclosed above, a plurality of the beam members may be arranged along a straight line parallel to the longitudinal direction of the beam members, and the ends of adjacent beam members may be spaced apart.
With this configuration, multiple girder members are arranged along a straight line parallel to the longitudinal direction of the girder members, and the ends of adjacent girder members are spaced apart, so unlike the case of a single girder member, the exterior panel is not constrained to the ceiling casing.
The manufacturing method of the electrostatic precipitator disclosed above may include the steps of forming a through hole in the exterior plate, passing a rod-shaped second column member having a circular cross section through the through hole and installing the second column member perpendicular to the outer surface of the ceiling casing, and connecting the exterior plate and the tip of the second column member by welding.
According to this configuration, a through hole is formed in the exterior plate, and then a second column member having a circular cross section is passed through the through hole and installed so that the second column member is perpendicular to the outer surface of the ceiling casing. The second column member is then connected to the exterior plate by welding. As a result, the exterior plate is supported on the ceiling casing not only by the first column member that supports the girder member, but also by the second column member. This makes it less likely for the exterior plate to be dented when a load is applied to it.
