Claims (31)
- ガス送達デバイスであって、
一酸化窒素(NO)生成システムであって、
チャンバー、
前記チャンバー内に含有されたNOカートリッジであって、
第1の表面と第2の表面とを備える基材、
前記基材の第1の表面上に固定化された固体状光感性NOドナー、
前記固体状光感性NOドナー上に配置されたNO透過性かつ光透過性膜、
前記基材の第2の表面上に固定化された第2の固体状光感性NOドナー、及び
前記第2の固体状光感性NOドナー上に配置された第2のNO透過性かつ光透過性膜
を含む、前記NOカートリッジ、
前記固体状光感性NOドナーを光に選択的に曝露してNOガスを生成させるために機能可能に配置された第1の光源、並びに
前記第2の固体状光感性NOドナーを光に選択的に曝露して追加のNOガスを生成させるために機能可能に配置された第2の光源、
を含む、前記NO生成システム、
酸素含有ガスを導入し、かつ前記NOガスを含む出力ガスを形成させるために前記チャンバーに機能可能に接続された吸気性ガス導管、ならびに
前記出力ガスのストリームを前記NO生成システムから輸送するための出口導管
を含む、
前記ガス送達デバイス。 - 前記NO透過性かつ光透過性膜が、1nmから1000nm未満の直径の孔を含むナノポーラスポリカーボネート膜又は1μmから1000μm未満の直径の孔を含むマイクロポーラスポリカーボネート膜である、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記固体状光感性NOドナーが光感性S-ニトロソチオールである、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記光感性S-ニトロソチオールが、S-ニトロソ-N-アセチル-ペニシラミン結晶、S-ニトロソグルタチオン結晶、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記固体状光感性NOドナーが、感圧性粘着剤により前記基材上に固定化されている、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記出力ガスストリームの一酸化窒素レベルをモニターするために前記出力ガスストリームと接触するセンサー、ならびに
前記センサー及び前記光源に機能可能に接続されたコントローラーであって、前記センサーからの前記一酸化窒素レベルに応答して前記光源のパラメータを調整するための、前記コントローラー
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。 - 前記出口導管に機能可能に接続された送達導管、及び
送達導管に機能可能に接続された吸入ユニット
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。 - 前記出力ガスストリームが前記吸入ユニットに送達される前に前記出力ガスストリームを受け入れるために前記送達導管中に配置された二酸化窒素フィルターをさらに含む、請求項7に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記光源からの前記光が、前記固体状光感性NOドナーの光分解を開始させるためのものであり、そして前記第2の光源からの光が、前記第2の固体状光感性NOドナーの光分解を開始させるためのものである、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記光源及び前記第2の光源が、約300nm~約600nmの範囲内の表示波長を有する、請求項9に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記出力ガス中のNO2レベルが1体積百万分率(ppmv)未満である、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記基材が、一酸化窒素に対し不透過性であり、そしてポリマー、紙、ガラス、及び金属からなる群から選ばれ;そして
前記NO透過性かつ光透過性の膜がポリカーボネートを含む、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイス。 - ガス送達デバイスであって、
一酸化窒素(NO)生成システムであって、
真空環境、
前記真空環境内に含有されたNOカートリッジであって、
基材、及び
前記基材上又は中に固定化された固体状光感性NOドナー
を含む、前記NOカートリッジ、及び
前記固体状光感性NOドナーを光に選択的に曝露してNOガスを生成させるために機能可能に配置された光源
を含む、前記NO生成システム、
前記真空環境の出口に接続され、前記真空環境から出口導管にNOガスを吐出する、真空ポンプ;
前記NOガスのストリームを前記NO生成システムから輸送するための前記出口導管、ならびに
酸素含有ガスを導入し、かつ前記ガス送達デバイスの出力ガスストリームを形成させるための、前記出口導管に機能可能に接続された吸気性ガス導管
を含む、前記ガス送達システム。 - 前記固体状光感性NOドナーが、粘着剤を用いて前記基材上に固定化されており、かつ、前記NOカートリッジが、前記固体状光感性NOドナー上に配置された膜をさらに含み、前記膜がNO透過性かつ前記光に対して透過性である、請求項13に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記膜が1nmから1000nm未満の直径の孔を備えるナノポーラス又は1μmから1000μm未満の直径の孔を備えるマイクロポーラスである、請求項14に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記膜がポリカーボネート膜である、請求項15に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記固体状光感性NOドナーが、前記基材上に形成されたキャビティ中に固定化されている、請求項13に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記出力ガスストリームの一酸化窒素レベルをモニターするために前記出力ガスストリームと接触するセンサー、ならびに
前記センサー及び前記光源に機能可能に接続されたコントローラーであって、前記センサーからの前記一酸化窒素レベルに応答して前記光源のパラメータを調整するための、前記コントローラー
をさらに含む、請求項13に記載のガス送達デバイス。 - 前記出口導管及び前記吸気性ガス導管に機能可能に接続された送達導管、ならびに
前記送達導管に機能可能に接続された吸入ユニット
をさらに含む、請求項13に記載のガス送達デバイス。 - 前記出力ガスストリームが前記吸入ユニットに送達される前に前記出力ガスストリームを受け入れるために前記送達導管中に配置された二酸化窒素フィルターをさらに含む、請求項19に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記固体状光感性NOドナーが光感性S-ニトロソチオールである、請求項13に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記光感性S-ニトロソチオールが、S-ニトロソ-N-アセチル-ペニシラミン結晶、S-ニトロソグルタチオン結晶、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項21に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記固体状光感性NOドナーが前記基材中に固定化されており、かつ、前記基材がシリコーンゴムである、請求項13に記載のガス送達デバイス。

一酸化窒素(NO)生成システムであって、
チャンバー、
チャンバー内に含有されたNOカートリッジであって、
基材、及び
前記基材上又は中に固定化された固体状光感性NOドナー
を含む、前記NOカートリッジ、及び
前記固体状光感性NOドナーを光に選択的に曝露してNOガスを生成させるために機能可能に配置された光源
を含む、前記NO生成システム、
窒素ガスを前記チャンバーに送達するための入口導管、
窒素ガス及びNOガスのストリームを前記チャンバーから輸送するための出口導管、ならびに
酸素含有ガスを導入し、かつ前記ガス送達デバイスの出力ガスストリームを形成させるための、前記出口導管に機能可能に接続された吸気性ガス導管
を含む、前記ガス送達システム。 - 前記チャンバーが真空チャンバーであり、そして前記ガス送達デバイスが、さらに前記真空チャンバーの出口に接続され、前記真空チャンバーから前記出口導管にNOガスを吐出する、真空ポンプを含む、請求項25に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 前記出力ガスストリーム中のNO2レベルが1体積百万分率(ppmv)未満である、請求項25に記載のガス送達デバイス。
- 光を前記固体状光感性NOドナーに選択的に適用することにより、請求項1に記載のガス送達デバイスを用いて一酸化窒素ガスを生成させること、
前記固体状光感性NOドナーが基材上又は中に固定化されており、かつ、前記方法が、真空チャンバー中で前記一酸化窒素ガスを生成させること;及び
一酸化窒素ガスを、前記酸素含有ガスと混合する前に、真空ポンプを用いて真空チャンバーから一酸化窒素ガスを取り除き;
前記一酸化窒素ガスを前記酸素含有ガスと混合して前記出力ガスストリームを形成させること、ならびに
少なくとも吸入ユニットへの送達の前に前記出力ガスストリームの一酸化窒素レベル及び二酸化窒素レベルをモニターすること
を含む、方法。 - 前記固体状光感性NOドナーが基材上又は中に固定化されており、かつ、前記方法が、前記酸素含有ガスとの前記混合の前に窒素ガスを用いて前記一酸化窒素ガスをスイープすることをさらに含む、請求項28に記載の方法。
- 前記送達の前に二酸化窒素フィルターを通じて前記出力ガスストリームを伝達することをさらに含む、請求項28に記載の方法。
- 前記酸素含有ガスが空気である、請求項28に記載の方法。
