Description
The present specification relates to a substrate transport device and a substrate transport method that transport a substrate to a predetermined stop position on a transport path.
BACKGROUND ART A technology for mass-producing board products by performing board-to-board work on boards with printed wiring has become widespread. Furthermore, it has become common to configure a board-to-board work line by lining up a plurality of board-to-board work machines that perform board-to-board work. Generally, a substrate-to-board working machine includes a substrate transport device. The substrate transport device transports the substrate carried in from the upstream side of the line to a predetermined stop position on the transport path, and transports the substrate after the substrate work has been performed at the stop position to the downstream side of the line. Many substrate transport devices are equipped with a substrate passage sensor that detects the position of a substrate to be transported. A technical example regarding this type of substrate transfer device is disclosed in
The substrate detection sensor disclosed in
By the way, in conventional technologies such as the substrate detection sensor disclosed in
Conventionally, as a countermeasure to the above-mentioned problems, a timer has been set to avoid the influence of temporary fluctuations in the amount of passage or reflection of detection light. In other words, if the duration of the temporary fluctuation is less than the timer time, the fluctuation is ignored, thereby avoiding erroneous determinations caused by voids in a cracked substrate or warped portions of the substrate. Additionally, due to the timer settings, the detection of the rear end of the board was delayed by the distance multiplied by the timer time and the board transport speed, so the future transport distance to reach the predetermined stop position was adjusted (offset). distance adjustment).
Even if such timer settings and conveyance distance adjustments are made, it is difficult to eliminate error stoppages of the substrate-facing working machine due to conveyance abnormalities and a decrease in accuracy of the substrate stop position. In addition, the timer settings and transport distance adjustments differ for each type of board, and must be done individually for the multiple board-to-board work machines that make up the board-to-board work line, which requires a lot of effort for the operator. It was bothering me.
Therefore, in this specification, it is an object of the present invention to provide a substrate transfer device and a substrate transfer method that can reduce the error stoppage of the substrate working machine due to transfer abnormality and the decrease in precision of the stopping position of the substrate compared to the conventional methods. This is an issue that should be addressed.
This specification includes a transport unit that transports a substrate from an input end of a transport path to a predetermined stop position, and a detection light beam directed toward the substrate passing through a prescribed position closer to the input end than the stop position of the transport path. a substrate passing sensor that detects the presence or absence of the substrate at the predetermined position based on the amount of passage or reflection of the detection light; a setting unit for setting a future transport distance for transporting the board to the stop position when the detection result changes from "no board" to "substrate present" to "no board"; a monitoring unit that monitors whether the detection result changes to “substrate present” again until the detection result changes to “substrate present”; Disclosed is a substrate transporting apparatus comprising: a resetting unit that resets the previously set transport distance and resets the transport distance in the future when the transport distance changes to ".".
Further, this specification provides a transport unit that transports a substrate from an input end of a transport path to a predetermined stop position, and a transport unit that transports a substrate from an input end of a transport path to a predetermined position closer to the input end than the stop position of the transport path. a substrate passage sensor that projects detection light and detects the presence or absence of the substrate at the specified position based on the amount of passage or reflection of the detection light; and the control of the transport unit based on the detection result of the substrate passage sensor. In the substrate transport device, the control unit is configured to change the detection result from “no substrate” to “substrate present” to “no substrate” when the conveyance unit conveys the substrate. At that point, a future transport distance for transporting the substrate to the stop position is set, and until the board arrives at the stop position, it is monitored whether the detection result changes to "substrate present" again. If the detection result changes to "substrate present" again, then at the time when the detection result changes to "substrate absent", the previously set transport distance is reset and the future transport distance is reset. , discloses a substrate transport method.
In the substrate transfer apparatus and substrate transfer method disclosed in this specification, the rear end of the substrate is determined when the detection result of the substrate passing sensor changes from "no board" to "substrate present" to "no board". to set the future transport distance. Then, if the detection result changes again to "substrate present" and then changes to "substrate absent", it is determined that the rear end of the board is corrected, and the previously set transport distance is reset and future steps are taken. Reset the transport distance. According to this, even if the trailing edge is incorrectly determined due to the presence of a gap in a cracked board or a warped part of the board, the future transport distance will be recalculated once the true trailing edge of the board is corrected. Set. Therefore, the detection accuracy of the rear end of the board can be improved more than before, and as a result, it is possible to reduce the error stop of the work equipment for the board due to conveyance abnormality and the decrease in the accuracy of the stop position of the board than before. .

1. Overall Configuration of

基板認識用カメラ46や側視カメラ47として、CCD(Charge Coupled Device)やCMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)等の撮像素子を有するデジタル式の撮像装置を例示できる。

The control device 5 is assembled to the
2. Configuration of the
The
The
Thereby, each of the two drive pulleys 65 drives the
The
The
On the other hand, the
The
3. Control Structure of
The
The
The setting
The
The resetting unit 83 operates when the
The
Further, the

4.搬送距離D1(D2、D3)
4. Conveyance distance D1 (D2, D3)
Next, the above-described transport distance D1 will be explained with reference to FIGS. 2 and 7. As described above, the stop position PS indicated by the broken line is set at the center of the guide rail 21 (transport path) in the X-axis direction. The distance between the stop position PS and the carry-in end 22 (defined position) is D0. On the other hand, the length of the substrate K in the transport direction is LK. Further, an intermediate position PK of the substrate K in the transport direction is indicated by a broken line. The separation distance D0 and the length LK of the substrate K are known, and the transport distance D1 is determined in advance before starting the transport operation.
In the first embodiment, the substrate K is controlled to stop so that its intermediate position PK overlaps the stop position PS (see FIG. 7). In this case, the conveyance distance D1 is determined by the following equation (1).
Conveyance distance D1=D0-(LK/2)…………(1)
That is, the transport distance D1 is the distance obtained by subtracting half the length LK of the substrate K in the transport direction from the separation distance D0 between the stop position PS and the specified position (carry-in end 22).
Note that when the substrate K is stopped so that its rear end overlaps the stop position PS, the conveyance distance D2 is determined by the following equation (2).
Conveyance distance D2=D0………………………………(2)
That is, the conveyance distance D2 corresponds to the separation distance D0 between the stop position PS and the specified position (carry-in end 22).
Furthermore, when the front end of the substrate K is controlled to stop so as to overlap the stop position PS, the transport distance D3 is determined by the following equation (3).
Conveyance distance D3=D0-LK……………………(3)
In other words, the transport distance D3 is the distance obtained by subtracting the length LK of the substrate K in the transport direction from the separation distance D0 between the stop position PS and the specified position (carry-in end 22).
5. Cracked board KB
Next, a configuration example of the cracked substrate KB will be described with reference to FIG. 8. The broken substrate KB consists of a frame portion KF in the shape of a picture frame and two small pieces of substrates (K1, K2). Each of the small pieces of substrates (K1, K2) is bonded to the inside of the frame part KF at three locations. After production of the broken board KB is finished, each of the small piece boards (K1, K2) is cut out from the frame part KF and used separately.
The length of the broken substrate KB in the transport direction is LB. Regarding the broken substrate KB, the future transport distance (D1, D2, D3) can be determined by applying the length LB to equations (1), (2), and (3). A gap KG is formed between the small piece substrate K1 on the front side and the small piece substrate K2 on the rear side in the transport direction of the broken substrate KB. Note that the broken substrate KB may include three or more small piece substrates and a plurality of voids KG. In the prior art, there was a possibility that the trailing edge of the front small piece board K1 would be mistakenly detected as the trailing edge of the broken board KB. The first embodiment eliminates this possibility of false detection.
6. Operation of
First, the operation when transporting a normal substrate K will be explained. In step S1 of FIG. 5, the
In the next step S3, the
In step S15, the
When the front end of the substrate K reaches the carry-in
Thereafter, while the substrate K passes through the carry-in
In step S12, the
After the rear end of the substrate K passes the carry-in
As shown in FIG. 7, when the substrate K arrives at the stop position PS and stops, the execution of the operation flow exits the operation loop from step S15 and ends. When transporting the normal substrate K, steps S5 and S14 of the operation flow are not executed, and the resetting flag is not used. In addition, the resetting unit 83 does not operate.
Second, the operation when transporting the broken substrate KB will be explained. In step S1 of FIG. 5, the
When the front end of the broken substrate KB reaches the carry-in
As shown in FIG. 9, when the trailing edge of the small piece substrate K1 reaches the carry-in
While the gap KG of the broken substrate KB passes through the carry-in
As shown in FIG. 10, when the front edge of the small piece substrate K2 on the rear side reaches the carry-in
After setting the reset flag in step S5, the
As shown in FIG. 11, when the rear end of the broken substrate KB reaches the carry-in
In step S14, the reset unit 83 determines to correct the rear end of the broken substrate KB, and performs an operation to reset the future transport distance D1. As a result, the transport distance that was set in step S13 and has been gradually corrected to be smaller is reset, and the transport distance D1, which is the same as the original one, is set again at this time. In other words, the incorrect settings in step S13 are reset and correct settings are made in step S14. After successfully completing the resetting operation, the resetting unit 83 resets the resetting flag. After this, execution of the operation flow returns to step S2 via step S15.
After the rear end of the broken board KB passes the carry-in
Finally, the cracked substrate KB reaches the stop position PS and stops, as shown in FIG. 12. Then, the execution of the operation flow exits the operation loop from step S15 and ends. Note that when transporting a broken substrate KB in which a plurality of voids KG are spaced apart from each other in the transport direction, step S5 and step S14 are executed a number of times corresponding to the number of voids KG. Therefore, the reset unit 83 operates the number of times corresponding to the number of voids KG. On the other hand, step S13 is executed only once regardless of the presence or absence of the void KG or the number thereof. Therefore, the setting
In the
In addition, the control method of the
7.
Next, with reference to FIGS. 13 and 14, the
As shown in FIG. 13, the
In the
That is, in the warped intermediate portion of the warped substrate KS, the same effect as in the gap KG of the cracked substrate KB occurs. As a result, when the warped substrate KS is transported, the determination result of the
8.
Next, regarding the
As shown in FIG. 15, the
The determination unit receives information about the amount of reflection of the detection light DL from the
