Description
The present invention relates to a device for peeling off the coating (skin) from the end of an electric wire, and a device for crimping a terminal after stripping the coating. In particular, the present invention relates to a coating stripping device, a terminal crimping device, etc. suitable for electric wires having a relatively large diameter (for example, a stranded wire cross-sectional area of 8 sq (mm 2 ) to 20 sq).
In order to automatically crimp terminals on thick electric wires or aluminum electric wires with low core wire strength, there are two issues: (1) coating waste (peeling waste) and (2) problems during terminal crimping. It is necessary to address the problem of bending due to wire stretching.
(1) Concerning coating waste To make incisions in the coating of thick electric wires to strip the coating, a semicircular arc-shaped coating stripping blade (cutting blade) that matches the wire core combination diameter (twisting diameter) is generally used. has been adopted. Note that a diamond-shaped blade is usually used to peel off the coating from wires other than thick wires. The reason for this is that when a diamond-shaped blade is used for thick wires, the remaining part of the coating that does not make the cut becomes large, and the wire is pulled back and the remaining part of the cut is torn off (see Figure 3 (C), paragraph 0034, etc.) This is because the resistance increases, which is undesirable. In addition, the shape of the torn portion becomes disordered, causing trouble and quality deterioration during terminal crimping.
In a reel-wound thick electric wire, the core wires, which are twisted together in a circular arc during manufacture, may be deformed into an elliptical shape due to the weight of the wire itself and the tension associated with reeling. In that case, although the above-mentioned semi-circular blade makes an incision in the coating, the peeled coating debris may get stuck to the blade shape. If subsequent work is continued in this state, quality deterioration such as defective cut shape of the coating may occur, so it is necessary to reliably remove adhered coating debris.
As a technical proposal for removing this coating waste, there is JP-A No. 2009-55766 (
(2) Electric wire elongation during crimping When a terminal is crimped onto a thick electric wire, since the diameter of the wire core wire is relatively large, a phenomenon occurs in which the core wire stretches to a considerable extent when the terminal is crimped. Unless measures are taken to absorb this elongation of the wire, bending of the wire or buckling of the core wire may occur.

Furthermore, it may include an insertion position defining member (329) that defines the insertion position of the clamp (211) biased by the telescopic biasing member (323). In the terminal crimping device of the present invention, the telescopic biasing member (323) may be a spring. The biasing force adjusting member (327) and the insertion position defining member (329) may be threaded members such as bolts.
By adding a mechanism using an elastic biasing member (323) such as a spring, it becomes possible to absorb the elongation of wires of different sizes when crimping terminals of wires of various sizes. Additionally, no complicated sensors or controls are required.
Another terminal crimping device (400) of the present invention includes a terminal crimping machine (27', 37') that crimps a terminal (T) to the end of an electric wire (W) from which the sheath has been peeled off, and a terminal crimping machine (27', 37') that grips the electric wire. A terminal crimping device (400) comprising: a wire clamp transport section (21', 31') that inserts the end of the electric wire into the terminal crimping machine, the wire clamp transport section (21', 31') However, a clamp (411) that grips the base portion of the end of the electric wire, and a clamp driving means (448) that drives the clamp and inserts the end of the electric wire into the crimping machine (27', 37'). ), and an elongation absorption mechanism (420) that retracts the clamp (411) in response to the elongation of the electric wire during terminal crimping, and the elongation absorption mechanism (420) It has the following: an elongation start crimp height detection means for detecting that the elongation start crimp height has been reached; and a cylinder (423) that operates in synchronization with the means and allows the clamp (411) to retreat. It is characterized by
The elongation start crimp height detecting means is, for example, a lowering position detector of a vertical drive mechanism of a crimper (275, see FIG. 9). Examples of the cylinder (423) include a pneumatic cylinder and an electric cylinder with a servo function that can control torque. If the structure allows synchronization of the downward stroke of the crimping press, etc., it is possible to cope with non-constant elongation by using an air cinder using an atmospheric release directional control valve or the like, or an electric cylinder capable of torque control.
Particularly preferable as the cylinder (423) is a pneumatic cylinder, and a valve (5-port exhaust center type (atmospheric (release type)
Furthermore, the forward and backward movement of the transport clamps (21, 31) is changed from the ball screw drive (347, 348) to an electric cylinder with a servo function, synchronized with the crimp height at which the core wire begins to elongate due to crimping, and the servo excitation is turned off or By lowering the torque, it is possible to absorb the wire elongation. In this case, the structure is simpler than the rack and pinion structure of

Furthermore, the debris chute (251) is surrounded by a tunnel structure and the coating debris removal member (241), forming a guide path for debris discharge, which also has the effect of preventing the coating debris from scattering.

The
A scrap removal member (plate) 241 for knocking off coating debris and an actuator (air cylinder) 243 for vertically driving the dust removal member (plate) 241 are attached to the side surface of the upper slider 237 (the right side surface in FIG. 2). These operations will be described below. A

In FIG. 3(A), the
FIG. 3(B) shows a state in which the stripping
FIG. 3C shows a state in which the stripping

The
The above-mentioned stripping blade drive means (248) can control the opening and closing positions of the upper and lower stripping blades, especially the amount of cut of the stripping blade into the coating, and the position control of the half-open state shown in FIG. 3(C), which can be adjusted for each wire size. Preferably, it utilizes a possible servo mechanism. Further, it is preferable that the electric wire insertion mechanism (specifically, the front and rear slide motor 348 (FIG. 6)) of the

The front-
As shown in FIG. 7, the wire
The

As clearly shown in FIG. 8, two stop
The intermediate

That is, when a force due to the elongation of the electric wire is applied to move the

The wire drawing length measurement of the terminal crimped wire manufacturing apparatus according to the present embodiment will be explained.
In thick electric wires, due to the following circumstances, it is difficult to sufficiently remove the winding curl of the wire, and it is also difficult to measure the length of the wire to be cut. In other words, since the weight per unit length of the wire increases, in the conventional feed roller method, when the load increases, slip occurs between the roller surface and the wire coating surface, and the amount of feed on the roller side and the actual amount of feed are Errors are likely to occur in the length of the wires. Further, due to characteristics such as the material of the wire coating and the conductor structure inside the wire, the coefficient of friction and the weight change greatly, so as described above, errors in the length of the wire are likely to occur. Furthermore, depending on the reel-shaped packaging state of the electric wire, the outer diameter of the wire coating changes and the gripping position of the roller changes, which tends to cause errors.
Therefore, in order to accurately draw out (lengthwise extend) the electric wire by a desired length, some effort is required. In addition, in recent years, as electric vehicles and hybrid cars have become more popular, power wires for automobile wire harnesses have become thicker, and requirements for their length and dimensional accuracy have become increasingly strict.

b) Automatically detects wire length abnormalities.
c) Prevent equipment abnormalities and detect product abnormalities when excessive wire pulling force is applied.
The electric wire draw-out length measuring device of the present invention is a device for pulling out an electric wire (W2) and measuring the length of the electric wire (W2), and includes a clamp (1701) that grips the tip portion (WT) of the electric wire (W2). , a drawing head (1705) for drawing out the electric wire, a head moving means (1770) for moving the head in the drawing direction, and a first length measuring means (1780, 1783) for measuring the moving length of the head (1705).・1790), a second length measuring means (2120/2125) that measures the drawn-out length of the electric wire (W2), and a length difference calculating means that calculates the difference between the length values of both length measuring means. In the wire drawer length measuring device of the present invention, the first length measuring means includes a moving motor (1790) of the head moving means (1770) and an encoder (1795) that detects the amount of rotation thereof; The second length measuring means may include a length measuring roller (2120) that rotates while being pressed against the electric wire (W2), and a tachometer (2125) that detects the amount of rotation thereof.
If the electric wire W2 has more curvature than expected, the length measured by the second length measuring means may be considerably longer or shorter than the length measured by the first length measuring means. . At that time, the operator identifies it as an abnormality and takes measures such as adjusting the equipment. It is also preferable to display, notify, warn, and/or stop the device when the difference between the length measurement values of both length measurement means exceeds a standard.
One electric wire end processing device of the present invention includes: a wire feeding section (11) that feeds the electric wire (W1); a wire cutting section (15) that cuts the fed electric wire (W2); and the electric wire. A pull-out length measuring device, a clamp conveyance unit (21) that clamps the electric wire (W2) and conveys it horizontally in a direction intersecting the feeding direction of the electric wire, and an end treatment unit that processes the end of the cut electric wire. (23, 25, 27), and the second length measuring means is arranged in the clamp transport section (21).
Another wire end treatment device of the present invention includes a straightener (1110) for straightening the curl of the wire, a wire feeding section (11) for feeding the wire (W1), and a wire feeding section (11) for feeding the wire (W1); It is equipped with a wire cutting section (15) for cutting, and a pull-out head (1705) having a clamp (1701) for gripping the tip portion (WT) of the wire (W2) whose tip has been cut, and the wire (W2) can be cut as desired. The wire drawing length measuring part (17) includes a wire drawing length measuring part (17) for drawing out the length of the wire, and an end processing part (23, 25, 27) that processes the end of the cut wire, and the wire drawing length measuring part (17) A head moving means (1770) for moving the drawing head (1705) in the drawing direction, and a length measuring means (1780, 1783, 1790) for measuring the moving length of the head (1705), Sometimes, the wire between the straightener (1110) and the drawing head (1705) is tensioned.
In this wire end treatment device, tension can be applied to the wire between the straightener (1110) and the drawing head (1705), thereby suppressing slack such as bending of the wire. Therefore, there is almost no difference between the moving length of the drawing head (1705) and the length of the electric wire actually drawn out, and it is possible to draw out the electric wire of an accurate length.
Another electric wire drawing length measuring device of the present invention includes a clamp (1701) that grips the tip portion (WT) of the electric wire (W2), and a drawing head (1705) that pulls out the electric wire (W2); A head moving means (1770) for moving in the drawing direction, a length measuring means (1780, 1783, 1790) for measuring the moving length of the head, and a drawing force applied to the drawing head (1705) exceeding a predetermined value. and a retracting means (1716) for escaping the drawing head in a direction opposite to the drawing direction when the drawing head is pulled out.
The evacuation means may include an air cylinder (1716) and a regulating valve (1719) for the applied pressure. The air cylinder biases the head in the pull-out direction, and when the pull-out force becomes greater than the force of the air cylinder, the air cylinder moves in the opposite direction to release the head. Moreover, it is also possible to further include means (1723) for detecting the operation of the evacuation means (1716).
To pull out the wire, overcome the resistance of a straightener, etc. When the wire drawing resistance becomes excessive due to a reason such as the wire being too tightly wound, the head is released in the direction opposite to the drawing direction. The operator then checks the wires and equipment. Alternatively, if the wire is overloaded, the equipment will be stopped and a display or warning will be issued. Then, we will take measures such as inspecting the wire straightening section and the wire reel feeding device.
Another wire end processing device of the present invention includes: a wire feeding section (11) that feeds the wire (W1); a wire cutting section (15) that cuts the fed wire; and a wire with a cut end. a wire drawer length measuring unit (17) equipped with a pull-out head (1705) having a clamp (1701) that grips the tip portion (WT) of the wire (W2) and pulls out the wire (W2) to a desired length; A clamp conveyance unit (21) clamps the electric wire (W2) and conveys it horizontally in a direction intersecting the feeding direction of the electric wire, and an end treatment unit (23, 25, 27), and the clamp conveying section (21) has two pairs of clamp pieces (2101 and 2103) arranged in the front and back direction that grip the tip of the electric wire (W2), and the drawing head The clamp (1701) of (1705) grips the tip portion (WT) of the electric wire (W2) between the two pairs of clamp pieces (2101 and 2103) of the clamp conveying section (21). .
The two pairs of clamps arranged in the front-rear direction that grip the tip of the electric wire (W2) of the clamp conveyance unit (21) cut between the rear end of the leading electric wire and the tip of the trailing electric wire. In some cases, they are holding electrical wires. Thereafter, the clamp of the drawing head grips the top (WT) of the electric wire (W3) between the two pairs of clamps of the clamp conveyance section (21), and the clamp of the clamp conveyance section (21) releases the electric wire. After that, the drawing head pulls out the wire. The clamp of the pull-out head grasps and pulls out the electric wire in a stable state with no bends, which is held by the two pairs of clamps of the clamp conveyance section (21). Therefore, since the gripping position of the clamp of the drawing head is as planned, the length accuracy of the electric wire can be maintained at a high level.

Next, with reference to the block diagram of FIG. 15, the configuration of the measurement system of the wire pull-out length measuring device shown in FIG. 14 will be described. In the upper left of this figure, a
If the electric wire W2 is curved more than expected, the rotational length of the length measuring roller 2120 (the length measured by the second length measuring means) is longer than the traveling length of the pull-out head 1705 (the length measured by the first length measuring means). (measured length) may be longer. Alternatively, the second length measuring means may be considerably shorter. Furthermore, if the difference between the length measurement values of both length measurement means exceeds a standard, display, notification, alarm, and/or device stoppage can be performed via the

Next, referring to FIG. 16, a drawing head retracting means in the wire drawing length measuring device according to the embodiment of the present invention will be described. A
The escape slide table 1710 is urged forward with respect to the moving table 1731 by an
In the normal state described below, the
The biasing force of the

The electric wire rotating portion between the two terminal crimping machines of the terminal crimping electric wire manufacturing apparatus according to the present embodiment will be explained.
In thick electric wires, the degree of freedom in twisting (twisting) the wire itself is low, and the gravity per unit length of the wire is heavy, so after crimping the terminals to both ends of the wire, the mutual angle between the terminals at both ends (the longitudinal axis of the wire) The degree of freedom to adjust (change the angle) by twisting the wire (surroundings) may be low. BACKGROUND ART In recent years, with the spread of electric vehicles and hybrids, power wires for automobile wire harnesses have become thicker, and demands on the accuracy of the terminal angles at both ends have become increasingly strict.
As a document that discloses a means for rotating an electric wire around an axis in a terminal crimped electric wire, there is JP-A No. 2009-152104 (
Similarly, as a document disclosing a means for rotating an electric wire around an axis in a terminal crimped electric wire, there is JP-A No. 2008-10375 (Patent Document 12, Japan Automatic Machine). Figures 1, 2, and 3 and paragraphs 0036 to 42 of the specification of this document show a wire rotation mechanism 80A that rotates the end of the wire with the terminal crimped, and a wire rotation mechanism 80A that rotates the end of the wire with the terminal not crimped. A wire harness manufacturing device having a rotation mechanism 80B is disclosed. However, the electric wire rotation mechanism of Document 12 grips only the rear end of the electric wire to which the terminal T is crimped; It doesn't twist the whole thing. Therefore, a wire rotation mechanism is required at each end of the wire.
Further, as a document disclosing a means for rotating an electric wire around an axis in a terminal crimped electric wire, there is Patent No. 5048885 (Patent Document 13, Japan Automatic Machine). FIG. 4 of this document discloses means 10 for adjusting the angle of the terminal around the wire axis direction. However, the angle adjustment means 10 of this document 13 is for adjusting the angle when inserting an electric wire with terminals crimped at both ends into a connector housing, and the angle adjustment means 10 is for adjusting the angle when inserting the electric wire with terminals already crimped at both ends into the connector housing. It is not meant to twist. In other words, it does not address the problem of adjusting (changing the angle) the angle between the terminals at both ends (around the longitudinal axis of the wire) by twisting the wire.

The electric wire double-end terminal crimping device of the present invention includes: a wire feeding section (11) that feeds the electric wire (W1); a wire cutting section (15) that cuts the fed electric wire to an arbitrary length; and the electric wire. (W2/W3); a tip coating peeling part (23) that peels off the coating on the tip of the electric wire (W2/W3); a tip terminal crimping part (27) that crimps a terminal to the tip from which the coating has been stripped; and the electric wire (W2/W3). a rear end sheath stripping section (33) that strips the sheath from the end of the wire; a rear end terminal crimping section (37) that crimp a terminal to the end of the wire from which the sheath has been stripped; and a rear end terminal crimping section (37) that clamps the wire and transports it to each section. An electric wire having a terminal T crimped at its tip, comprising a clamp conveying section (21, 31), and further provided between the tip terminal crimping section (27) and the rear terminal crimping section (37). By grasping and rotating only the rear end, the entire electric wire (W3) can be rotated at a desired angle around the longitudinal axis of the electric wire, without restricting rotation of the tip with the terminal crimped. It is characterized by comprising an electric wire rotation part (32) that rotates the electric wire.
In the present invention, the electric wire axial rotation process is installed as a treatment process for the rear side (tail side) of the electric wire, and after performing the desired electric wire axial rotation on the front side (top side) of the electric wire, the rear side ( (tail side) terminal crimping can be performed. When assembling crimped wires in the next process after terminal crimping (inserting a housing, etc.), it is difficult to twist thick wires and the crimped terminals cannot be held in a free position. By rotating and crimping, work efficiency in the next process will be improved.

A terminal crimping machine of a terminal crimping electric wire manufacturing apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described. A terminal crimping machine for thick electric wires (for example, stranded wire cross-sectional area of 8 to 20 sqmm 2 ) for automobile wiring harnesses is required to have a large crimping force of about 70 KN or more. In recent years, as electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles have become more popular, power cables for automobile wiring harnesses have become thicker. In addition, requirements regarding the precision of the terminal crimping shape are becoming increasingly strict. Therefore, the conventionally common cantilevered crimping machine frame may lack rigidity.
Utility Model Registration Publication No. 2513288 (Patent Document 51) discloses a servo press in which an
Furthermore, in the servo press of Patent Document 51, the
The disadvantages when the distance between posts becomes wider are as follows.
(a) Depending on the size of the ram holder (see numeral 2731 in Figures 19 and 20, also referred to as the "slide"), the applicator mount (see numeral 2741 in Figures 19 and 20, also referred to as the "bed surface") The accuracy of parallelism etc. with
(b) Depending on the location of the concentrated load, deflection will occur depending on the size and rigidity of the slide, making the process dependent on the rigidity of the mold (applicator) used, which may shorten the life of the mold.
In addition, in the servo press of Patent Document 51, since the motor is disposed at the lower part between the left and right posts, there is also a problem that maintainability is poor in the event of motor failure.
An object of the present invention is to solve one or more of the following problems regarding a servo press and a terminal crimping machine for thick electric wires.
a) Standard and small motors can be used.
b) There are many options for combinations of motors and reduction mechanisms.
C) The distance between the posts will not be unnecessarily wide, and the accuracy of the parallelism between the slide and the bed surface, etc., and the deflection when applying a concentrated load will be in accordance with the size and rigidity of the slide.
e) The applicator is easy to replace and install.
The servo press of the present invention includes: an upper mold (2711) that is a movable tool; a lower mold (2721) that is a fixed tool that faces the upper mold; and an upper mold drive means that drives the upper mold (2711). A press (2700) comprising: a feed nut (2771) for linearly driving the upper die; a feed screw (2781) threadedly engaged with the feed nut; and a rotation of the feed screw. A motor (2794) that is a drive source and rotates around an axis offset from the rotation axis of the feed screw, and a rotation transmission mechanism (2757, 2754, 2751) that transmits the rotation of the motor to the feed screw (2781). ).
The terminal crimping machine (2700) of the present invention includes a crimper (2711) which is a movable tool for crimping a terminal (T) to the end of an electric wire (W), and an anvil (2721) which is a fixed tool that faces the crimper. A terminal crimping machine (2700) comprising: a crimper driving means for driving the crimper (2711), a feed nut (2771) for linearly driving the crimper, and a screw between the feed nut and the screw. a feed screw (2781) that is matched with the feed screw; a motor (2794) that is a rotational drive source for the feed screw and rotates around an axis that is offset from the rotational axis of the feed screw; (2781) and a rotation transmission mechanism (2757, 2754, 2751).
A specific form of the servo press or terminal crimping machine of the present invention includes: a ram (2701) that drives the crimper or upper die (2711), a ram holder (2731) that holds the ram, and the feed nut (2771). A nut holder (2767) that holds the ram holder (2731), and each of the left and right sides (2731h/m) of the ram holder (2731), and each of the left and right sides (2767h/m) of the nut holder (2767) are connected to each other. An applicator pedestal or mold pedestal on which two tie rods (2734L/R) and the anvil or lower die (2721) are mounted, and the tie rods (guide rods, 2734) pass through the left and right sides (2741h/m) of the anvil or lower die (2721). (2741), and rod guide portions (2745L/R) fixed to the left and right sides (2741h/m) of the mount.
Place the motor (2794) next to the screw (2781) and transmit rotation to the screw using a rotation transmission mechanism such as a belt (2754). Therefore, there is no need to place the motor (2794) between the two posts (tie rods (2734)), and the distance between the posts can be narrowed. Therefore, the dimensions and deflection of the ram holder (2731, slide), the applicator stand or the mold stand (2741, bed surface) are reduced, and the shape accuracy of the crimp terminal is improved.
In addition, you can choose from a wide range of motors with common shapes and specifications (torque, rotation speed, reduction gear included). Furthermore, since the screw (2781) can be configured to rotate and not move up and down, the height of the device can be reduced.

Prepare the applicator to be used next on the slide rail (2739/2871) or table (2823), pull out the applicator you have used so far onto the same slide rail or table, and then insert the applicator to be used next. can be set on the crimping machine. Therefore, the time during which the crimping machine is stopped is shortened, and the operating rate of the crimping machine is increased.
The operating position (2741x) of the applicator is a position where the applicator (AP) is under the ram 2701 (see FIG. 20) of the crimping machine main body and crimps the terminal T to the end of the electric wire W. The applicator standby position (2823y/2871y) is a position outside the crimping machine that does not interfere with crimping work, and is where the applicator that will be installed next in the crimping machine (or taken out from the crimping machine) will wait. This is the position where
This type of terminal crimping machine (2800) has a slide rail (2739/2871) that slides and guides the applicator (AP) between the operating position (2741x) and the standby position (2823y/2871y) of the applicator. The applicator is easy to take out and install. Further, the applicator replacement work can be done in a short time.
In the crimping machine (2800) of the present invention, it is preferable to provide two types of slide rails (2739 and 2871), one for side feed and one for end feed. Compatible with any type of applicator. "Side feed" is a method in which a strip-shaped terminal row with many terminals lined up is fed from the side of the crimping machine body (in a direction that intersects the wire insertion direction), and "end feed" is a method in which a strip-shaped terminal row in which many terminals are lined up is fed from the side of the crimping machine body (in a direction that intersects the wire insertion direction). This is a method of feeding from the vertical direction (direction along the wire insertion direction). When the crimping machine main body is a two-post type shown in FIG. 20, the slide rails (2739 and 2871) may extend in a direction diagonally intersecting a line connecting the centers of the two posts.
In FIG. 21, the side feed applicator APS is shown in the
As shown in FIG. 21, the
The fixing
The
A
In the state of FIG. 22, the front applicator APS2 is in a position continuous with the
Next, we will explain how to replace the end feed applicator APE.
The end feed applicator APE in the
The
