Description
本技術は、硬化樹脂層3を介して光学部材2と透明パネル4とが貼り合わされることにより形成される光学装置1の製造方法である。透明パネル4と光学部材2の貼合わせ工程の説明に先立って、光学装置1の構成について説明する。
透明パネル4は、光透過性を有し、硬化樹脂層3を介して光学部材2と積層されることにより光学部材2の視認性を確保しながら光学部材2の表示面をカバーして保護するものである。
図2に示すように、本技術が適用された光学装置1は、透明パネル4の光学部材2との貼合せ面部4aに、後述する第1の硬化樹脂層15の形成領域を画するパネルダム7が形成されている。パネルダム7は、第1の硬化樹脂層15を構成する光硬化性樹脂組成物10を透明パネル4上に充填させるとともに、光硬化性樹脂組成物10のパネルダム7の外側へのはみ出しを防止するものである。パネルダム7は、図2に示すように、貼合せ面部4aが凹湾曲形状の場合は、曲面形状を有する透明パネル4の両開放端側の外縁に沿って形成されている。これにより、パネルダム7は、透明パネル4の外縁に沿って形成されている遮光部8に接して設けられる。また、図3に示すように、貼合せ面部4aが凸湾曲形状の場合は、透明パネル4の周囲4辺をパネルダム7で囲むことではみだし防止を行う。
光学部材2は、例えば液晶表示パネル、有機EL表示パネル、プラズマ表示パネル、タッチパネル等の画像表示部材を例示できる。ここで、タッチパネルとは、液晶表示パネルのような表示素子とタッチパッドのような位置入力装置を組み合わせた画像表示・入力パネルを意味する。このような光学部材2の透明パネル4側の表面形状は特に限定されないが、平坦であることが好ましい。また、光学部材2の表面に偏光板が配置されていてもよい。
透明パネル4と光学部材2との間に介在される硬化樹脂層3は、光透過性を有し、画像表示部材等の光学部材2が表示する画像を視認可能とする。

次いで、光学装置1の第1の製造工程について説明する。光学装置1の製造工程は、曲面形状を有する透明パネルを用意する工程(A)と、前記透明パネルの貼合せ面部に硬化性樹脂組成物を充填する第1の充填工程(B)と、前記貼合せ面部に充填された前記硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させ、第1の硬化樹脂層を形成する第1の本硬化工程(C)と、前記透明パネル又は前記透明パネルが貼り合わされる光学部材の、前記光学部材の表示領域外縁に沿った位置にダム部材を形成するダム形成工程(D)と、前記透明パネルと前記光学部材を貼り合せ、前記光学部材と上記透明パネルとの間に前記ダム部材によって囲まれた樹脂充填空間が形成された貼合体を形成する貼合せ工程(E)と、前記樹脂充填空間に前記硬化性樹脂組成物を充填する第2の充填工程(F)と、前記樹脂充填空間に充填された前記硬化性樹脂組成物を仮硬化させ、仮硬化樹脂層を形成する仮硬化工程(G)と、前記仮硬化樹脂層を本硬化させる第2の本硬化工程(H)とを有する。
先ず、曲面形状を有する透明パネル4を用意する。上述したように、透明パネル4は、光学部材2が貼り合わされる一面に遮光部8が形成されている。遮光部8は、光学部材2の表示領域を囲むように形成される。
次いで、例えば図2(A)(B)に示すように、透明パネルの貼合せ面部に硬化性樹脂を充填する第1の充填工程を行う。硬化性樹脂としては光硬化性樹脂組成物10を好適に用いることができる。光硬化性樹脂組成物10は、例えばディスペンサー13によって貼合せ面部4aに充填される。また、硬化性樹脂組成物10は、所定の高さまで充填される。
次いで、貼合せ面部4aに充填された硬化性樹脂を硬化させ、第1の硬化樹脂層15を形成する第1の本硬化工程を行う。硬化性樹脂として硬化性樹脂組成物10を用いた場合、例えば図4(A)(B)に示すように、遮光部8の上から硬化性樹脂組成物10の全面に硬化光を照射する。これにより、透明パネル4の貼合せ面部4aに第1の硬化樹脂層15が形成される。その後、パネルダム7が除去され、透明パネル4の貼合せ面部4a上に略平坦な第1の硬化樹脂層15が形成される。なお、パネルダム7を光硬化性樹脂組成物10を硬化して形成した場合には、第1の硬化樹脂層15と一体化される。
また、透明パネル4が貼り合わされる光学部材2の表示領域外縁に対応した位置に沿って、ダム部材16を形成するダム形成工程を行う。ダム部材16は、光学部材2の表示領域外縁に沿って第2の硬化性樹脂組成物17が塗布、硬化されることにより形成される。図6(A)(B)に示すように、第2の硬化性樹脂組成物17は、例えばディスペンサー13によって所定の高さに塗布される。また、第2の硬化性樹脂組成物17として光硬化性樹脂組成物を用いた場合は、塗布後に硬化光が照射され、硬化される。その他、第2の硬化性樹脂組成物17は、印刷等、公知の樹脂供給方法を用いて供給してもよい。
次いで、図7に示すように、透明パネル4と光学部材2を貼り合せ、光学部材2と透明パネル4との間にダム部材16によって囲まれた樹脂充填空間20が形成された貼合体21を形成する貼合せ工程を行う。
次いで、図8に示すように、樹脂充填空間20に硬化性樹脂組成物を充填する第2の充填工程を行う。硬化性樹脂としては第1の硬化樹脂層15を構成する光硬化性樹脂組成物10と同一の光硬化性樹脂組成物10を用いることが好ましい。光硬化性樹脂組成物10は、例えばディスペンサー13によって樹脂充填空間20に充填される。
次いで、図8に示すように、樹脂充填空間20に充填された硬化性樹脂組成物を仮硬化させ、仮硬化樹脂層22を形成する仮硬化工程を行う。例えば、樹脂充填空間20に光硬化性樹脂組成物10を充填した場合は、透明パネル4側から紫外線等の硬化光を樹脂充填空間20に照射することにより、光硬化性樹脂組成物10を仮硬化させ、仮硬化樹脂層22とする。
次いで、樹脂充填空間20に形成された仮硬化樹脂層22を本硬化させる本硬化工程を行う。本硬化工程は、例えば図10に示すように、透明パネル4側から紫外線等の硬化光を樹脂充填空間20に照射することにより、仮硬化樹脂層22を本硬化させることができる。第1の硬化樹脂層15及び本硬化した仮硬化樹脂層22は、硬化樹脂層3となる。
Claims (10)
- 曲面形状を有する透明パネルを用意する工程と、
前記透明パネルの貼合せ面部に硬化性樹脂組成物を充填する第1の充填工程と、
前記貼合せ面部に充填された前記硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させ、第1の硬化樹脂層を形成する第1の本硬化工程と、
前記透明パネル又は前記透明パネルが貼り合わされる光学部材の、前記光学部材の表示領域外縁に沿った位置にダム部材を形成するダム形成工程と、
前記透明パネルと前記光学部材を貼り合せ、前記光学部材と前記透明パネルとの間に前記ダム部材によって囲まれた樹脂充填空間が形成された貼合体を形成する貼合せ工程と、
前記樹脂充填空間に前記硬化性樹脂組成物を充填する第2の充填工程と、
前記樹脂充填空間に充填された前記硬化性樹脂組成物を仮硬化させ、仮硬化樹脂層を形成する仮硬化工程と、
前記仮硬化樹脂層を本硬化させる第2の本硬化工程とを有する
光学装置の製造方法。 - 前記仮硬化工程を省き、直ちに前記樹脂充填空間に充填された前記硬化性樹脂組成物を硬化させる第2の本硬化工程を有する請求項1に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
- 前記樹脂充填空間には、1又は複数の開口部が形成されている請求項1又は2に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
- 前記開口部は、前記硬化性樹脂組成物が充填され、閉塞される請求項3に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
- 前記開口部を上に向けて前記硬化性樹脂組成物を充填する請求項3又は4に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
- 前記透明パネルは、前記光学部材の表示領域周縁に対応する領域に遮光部が形成されている請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
- 前記硬化性樹脂組成物は光硬化性樹脂であり、前記第1の本硬化工程は前記遮光部及び前記硬化性樹脂組成物の上から硬化光を照射する請求項6に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
- 前記第1の硬化樹脂層は平坦面を有し、
前記貼合せ工程では、前記ダム部材が第1の硬化樹脂層の平坦面上に当接する請求項1~7のいずれか1項に記載の光学装置の製造方法。 - 前記ダム部材は、前記硬化性樹脂組成物と同一の硬化性樹脂組成物を塗布し、硬化させることにより形成される請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
- 前記第1の充填工程では、前記透明パネルの貼合せ面部に、柔軟性を有し剥離可能なダムを密着させる請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載の光学装置の製造方法。
