実施形態1を図1から図15によって説明する。本実施形態では、液晶表示装置(表示装置)10及びそれに備わるバックライト装置(照明装置)12について例示する。なお、各図面の一部にはX軸、Y軸及びZ軸を示しており、各軸方向が各図面で示した方向となるように描かれている。また、図2,図4及び図6の上側を表側とし、同図下側を裏側とする。
実施形態2を図16または図17によって説明する。この実施形態2では、光拡散プリズム部を省略したものを示す。なお、上記した実施形態1と同様の構造、作用及び効果について重複する説明は省略する。

Claims (13)
- 列をなして並ぶ複数の光源と、
前記複数の光源を覆うよう配される導光板であって、前記複数の光源側の板面の少なくとも一部が前記複数の光源から発せられた光が入射される入光面とされ、前記入光面とは反対側の板面が光を出射させる出光面とされる導光板と、
前記出光面にて前記複数の光源の並び方向に沿って延在し且つ前記複数の光源に対して少なくとも一部が重畳するよう設けられる光拡散部であって、前記導光板内に存する光に対し、前記出光面の法線方向から視て前記並び方向と交差していて前記複数の光源から離れる向きを指向するよう拡散作用を付与する光拡散部と、を備え、
前記導光板の前記出光面にて前記光拡散部とは非重畳となるよう配されて前記並び方向に沿って延在していて前記出光面の法線方向から視て前記並び方向と交差する方向に沿って並ぶよう設けられる複数の第1出光単位プリズムからなる第1出光プリズム部を備え、
