その端部に、活物質層が形成されていない正極芯体露出部4及び負極芯体露出部5を有している。そして、正極板及び負極板は、正極芯体露出部4及び負極芯体露出部5が、それぞれ反対方向に延出するように配置されている。正極芯体露出部4は、正極集電体6を介して、正極端子7に接続されている。負極芯体露出部5は、負極集電体9を介して、負極端子10に接続されている。正極端子7及び負極端子10は、それぞれ、封口板2に設けられた貫通孔を貫通して封口板2に固定されている。封口板2の外面側において、正極端子7が正極外部導電部材8に接続され、負極端子10が負極外部導電部材11が接続されている。

<その他>
上記実施形態では、短絡機構として、変形部19が正極板に電気的に接続されている構成を示したが、これに限定されない。封口板2に変形部19が形成されていればよい。例えば、二次電池の通常使用時、封口板2や変形部19は正極板及び負極板のいずれにも電気的に接続されておらず、変形部19の作動時に、いずれかの電極板に電気的に接続される構成であってもよい。例えば、封口板2に二つの変形部を設け、一方の変形部の上方に正極外部導電部材を配置し、他方の変形部の上方に負極外部導電部材を配置するようにしてもよい。この場合、一方の変形部が変形し正極外部導電部材に電気的に接続され、他方の変形部が変形し負極外部導電部材に電気的に接続されることにより、正極板と負極板が電気的に短絡する。

Claims (8)
- 正極板と負極板を含む電極体と、
開口を有し、前記電極体を収納する外装体と、
前記開口を封口する封口板と、を備え、
前記外装体と前記封口板が電池ケースを構成し、
前記封口板には、前記電池ケース内の圧力が所定値以上となった時に変形する変形部と、前記電池ケース内の圧力が所定値以上となった時に破断し前記電池ケース内のガスを前記電池ケースの外部に排出するガス排出弁が設けられ、
前記封口板の内面には、金属製の補強部材が接続され、
前記補強部材は、前記ガス排出弁と対向する位置に配置され、
前記補強部材は、前記ガス排出弁と対向するように配置される本体部と、前記本体部から前記封口板に向かって延びる複数の脚部と、前記脚部の前記封口板側に位置する接続部を有し、
前記接続部が前記封口板に接続され、
前記本体部と前記電極体の間に絶縁部材が配置され、
前記封口板の長手方向において、前記絶縁部材は前記本体部より大きく、
前記変形部の変形により、前記正極板と前記負極板を電気的に接続させる短絡機構を有する、
二次電池。 - 前記封口板の長手方向において、前記変形部と前記ガス排出弁は離間して配置され、
前記ガス排出弁が破断する圧力は、前記変形部が変形する圧力よりも大きい値に設定された、
請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記変形部の外方には、前記負極板に電気的に接続された外部導電部材が配置され、
前記変形部が変形することにより、前記変形部と前記外部導電部材が電気的に接続される、

前記第2金属が銅、銅合金、鉄、鉄合金、ニッケル、又はニッケル合金である、
