[実施例1]
原料を真空誘電溶解炉にて溶融し、この原料からインゴットを得た。このインゴットに熱間鍛造を施した。この熱間鍛造のときのインゴットの温度は、1100℃から1200℃であった。この熱間鍛造により、その材質が実施例1に係るNi-Cu合金であり、直径が20mmである丸棒を得た。この丸棒の組成が、下記の表1に示されている。

[引張り試験]
前述の丸棒を、595℃から480℃まで炉冷した。この炉冷の冷却速度は、10℃/hrから15℃/hrであった。さらにこの丸棒を、480℃から空冷した。この空冷は、時効処理に相当する。この丸棒から、試験片(JIS 14A)を切り出した。この試験片の平行部の径は、6mmであった。この試験片を、常温での引張り試験に供し、引張強さを測定した。引張強さが1000N/mm2以上である合金の格付けを「A」とし、引張強さが1000N/mm2未満である合金の格付けを「B」とした。この結果が、下記の表1-3に示されている。

A test piece was cut from a round bar rated A in the tensile test described above. The specimen had a diameter of 8 mm and a length of 100 mm. This test piece was subjected to a tensile test using a Gleeble tester to measure the reduction ratio at 1100°C. An alloy with a reduction rate of 70% or more was rated "A", and an alloy with a reduction rate of less than 70% was rated "B". The results are shown in Tables 1-3 below.
[冷間加工性]
前述の熱間加工性試験における格付けがAである丸棒を、冷間据え込み試験に供した。この試験での加工率は、70%であった。加工後の合金の表面を、目視で観察した。疵及び割れがない合金の格付けを「A」とし、疵又は割れがある合金の格付けを「B」とした。この結果が、下記の表1-3に示されている。

A round bar rated as A in the hot workability test described above was subjected to a cold upsetting test. The processing rate in this test was 70%. The surface of the alloy after working was visually observed. An alloy with no flaws or cracks was rated "A", and an alloy with flaws or cracks was rated "B". 比較例27の合金では、C量の含有率が多い。この合金では、粗大炭化物が形成される。従ってこの合金は、冷間加工性に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 27 has a high C content. In this alloy coarse carbides are formed. Therefore, this alloy has poor cold workability.
比較例28の合金では、Siの含有率が多い。従ってこの合金は、冷間加工性に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 28 has a large Si content. Therefore, this alloy has poor cold workability.
比較例29の合金では、Mnの含有率が多い。この合金が再加熱されると、異常酸化が生じる。従ってこの合金は、熱間加工性に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 29 has a high Mn content. Abnormal oxidation occurs when the alloy is reheated. Therefore, this alloy is inferior in hot workability.

比較例31の合金では、Cuの含有率が少ない。従ってこの合金は、強度に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 31 has a low Cu content. This alloy is therefore inferior in strength.
比較例32の合金では、Cuの含有率が多い。従ってこの合金は、熱間加工性に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 32 has a large Cu content. Therefore, this alloy is inferior in hot workability.
比較例33の合金では、Alの含有率が少ない。この合金の結晶粒は、粗大である。従ってこの合金は、強度に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 33 has a low Al content. The grains of this alloy are coarse. This alloy is therefore inferior in strength.
比較例34の合金では、Alの含有率が多い。従ってこの合金は、熱間加工性に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 34 has a high Al content. Therefore, this alloy is inferior in hot workability.
比較例35の合金では、Tiの含有率が少ない。この合金の結晶粒は、粗大である。従ってこの合金は、強度に劣る。 The alloy of Comparative Example 35 has a low Ti content. The grains of this alloy are coarse. This alloy is therefore inferior in strength.

及び
B:50ppm以下
を含み、残部がNi及び不可避不純物であり、
