Description
[2]本発明に係る一態様の照明装置は、(a)光源と、(b)前記光源からの出射光を略平行光にする光変換部と、(c)前記略平行光が入射し得るように配置される複数の画素領域を有しており、当該画素領域の各々において光透過状態と光散乱状態とを個別に切り替え可能な光変調部と、(d)前記略平行光の光路上であって前記光変調部の光出射側に配置されており、入光口の大きさが前記略平行光の大きさと略等しく、前記略平行光を用いて前記光変調部により形成される像を投影する投影レンズと、(e)貫通孔を有しており当該貫通孔が前記略平行光の光路上に位置するようにして前記光変調部と前記投影レンズとの間に配置され、かつ光入射面が当該光路に対して斜交するように配置されている反射型光絞り部材と、(f)前記反射型光学絞り部材によって生じる反射光を反射する反射部材と、を含む、照明装置である。
[3]本発明に係る一態様の光投影システムは、上記の照明装置と、当該照明装置の前記光変調部における前記複数の画素領域の各々の動作を制御する制御装置と、を含む、光投影システムである。
図1は、第1実施形態の光投影システムの光学系を説明するための模式的な斜視図である。また、図2は、第1実施形態の光投影システムの構成を説明するための図である。各図に示す本実施形態の光投影システムは100、車両に設けられて車両前方へ光照射するための車両用灯具システムとして用いられるものである。本実施形態の光投影システム100は、車両前方に存在する他の車両や歩行者などの対象体の状況に応じて、例えば、ハイビーム(走行ビーム)を照射する際に、他の車両の存在する領域へは光を照射しないようにする等、ハイビームの照射範囲において選択的な光照射を行うものである。図示の光投影システム100は、光源1、コリメート光学系(コリメート部)2、拡散型液晶素子3、投影レンズ4、カメラ15、制御装置16、液晶駆動装置17を含んで構成されている。
図8は、第2実施形態の光投影システムの構成を説明するための図である。なお、第2実施形態の光投影システム100aの光学系の構成は第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図1参照)、また電気的な構成についても第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図2参照)、拡散型液晶素子を2つ備えているという点のみ相違している。よって、共通する事項およびそれらによって得られる効果については説明を省略し、相違する事項とその効果について以下に説明する。
図9(A)は、第3実施形態の光投影システムの構成を説明するための図である。なお、第3実施形態の光投影システム100bの光学系の構成は第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図1参照)、また電気的な構成についても第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図2参照)、拡散型液晶素子3の前後に2つの光学絞り部材7a、7bを備えているという点のみ相違している。よって、共通する事項およびそれらによって得られる効果については説明を省略し、相違する事項とその効果について以下に説明する。
図10(A)は、第4実施形態の光投影システムの構成を説明するための図である。なお、第4実施形態の光投影システム100cの光学系の構成は第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図1参照)、また電気的な構成についても第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図2参照)、拡散型液晶素子3と投影レンズ4の間の光路上にルーバー8a、8bを備えているという点のみ相違している。よって、共通する事項およびそれらによって得られる効果については説明を省略し、相違する事項とその効果について以下に説明する。
図11(A)は、第5実施形態の光投影システムの構成を説明するための図である。なお、第5実施形態の光投影システム100dの光学系の構成は第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図1参照)、また電気的な構成についても第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図2参照)、反射型の光学絞り部材7cと曲面反射板(反射部材)9と投影レンズ10をさらに備えているという点のみ相違している。よって、共通する事項およびそれらによって得られる効果については説明を省略し、相違する事項とその効果について以下に説明する。
図12は、第6実施形態の光投影システムの構成を説明するための図である。なお、第5実施形態の光投影システム100eの光学系の構成は第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図1参照)、また電気的な構成についても第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図2参照)、反射型の光学絞り部材7d、光学絞り部材7e、曲面反射板9と投影レンズ10をさらに備えているという点と、コリメート光学系2が疑似コリメート光学系2aに置き換えられている点が相違している。よって、共通する事項およびそれらによって得られる効果については説明を省略し、相違する事項とその効果について以下に説明する。
図13は、第7実施形態の光投影システムの構成を説明するための図である。なお、第5実施形態の光投影システム100fの光学系の構成は第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様であり(図1参照)、また電気的な構成についても第1実施形態の光投影システム100と同様である(図2参照)。また、上記した第6実施形態の同様の疑似コリメート光学系2a、光学絞り部材7d、曲面反射板9および投影レンズ10を備えており、さらに斜め配置された光学絞り部材7fを備えている。よって、共通する事項およびそれらによって得られる効果については説明を省略し、相違する事項とその効果について以下に説明する。
Claims (7)
- 光源と、
前記光源からの出射光を略平行光にする光変換部と、
前記略平行光が入射し得るように配置される複数の画素領域を有しており、当該画素領域の各々において光透過状態と光散乱状態とを個別に切り替え可能な光変調部と、
前記略平行光の光路上であって前記光変調部の光出射側に配置されており、入光口の大きさが前記略平行光の大きさと略等しく、前記略平行光を用いて前記光変調部により形成される像を投影する投影レンズと、
貫通孔を有しており当該貫通孔が前記略平行光の光路上に位置するようにして前記光変調部と前記投影レンズとの間に配置され、かつ光入射面が当該光路に対して斜交するように配置されている反射型光絞り部材と、
前記反射型光学絞り部材によって生じる反射光を反射する反射部材と、
を含む、照明装置。 - 光源と、
前記光源からの出射光を略平行光にする光変換部と、
前記略平行光が入射し得るように配置される複数の画素領域を有しており、当該画素領域の各々において光透過状態と光散乱状態とを個別に切り替え可能な光変調部と、
前記略平行光の光路上であって前記光変調部の光出射側に配置されており、入光口の大きさが前記略平行光の大きさと略等しく、前記略平行光を用いて前記光変調部により形成される像を投影する投影レンズと、
貫通孔を有しており当該貫通孔が前記略平行光の光路上に位置するようにして前記光変換部と前記光変調部との間に配置され、かつ光入射面が当該光路に対して斜交するように配置されている第1反射型光絞り部材と、
前記第1反射型光学絞り部材によって生じる反射光を反射する反射部材と、
を含む、照明装置。 - 貫通孔を有しており当該貫通孔が前記略平行光の光路上に位置するようにして前記光変調部と前記投影レンズとの間に配置されている第2反射型光絞り部材、
を更に含む、請求項2に記載の照明装置。 - 前記第2反射型光絞り部材は、光入射面が前記光路に対して斜交するように配置されている、
請求項3に記載の照明装置。 - 前記光変調部により形成されて前記投影レンズにより投影される像は、前記複数の画素領域のうち前記光透過状態とされた画素領域に対応する部分が相対的に明るく前記光散乱状態とされた画素領域に対応する部分が相対的に暗い像である、
請求項1~4の何れか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 前記光変調部は、前記略平行光の光路上に配置された1つの液晶素子からなり、
前記投影レンズは、その焦点を前記液晶素子の位置に対応付けて配置される、
請求項1~5の何れか1項に記載の照明装置。 - 請求項1~6の何れか1項に記載の照明装置と、
前記照明装置の前記光変調部における前記複数の画素領域の各々の動作を制御する制御装置と、
を含む、光投影システム
