Description
本願発明者らは、従来の画像表示装置に関し、以下の問題が生じることを見出した。従来、液晶テレビジョン受像機等の画像表示装置に採用されるバックライトユニットとして、導光板の上下2辺に沿って光源部(例えばLED(Light Emitting Diode)バー)が配置された、エッジライト方式のバックライトユニットが存在する。導光板は、例えばアクリル樹脂等の樹脂で形成されており、発光素子等からの熱、または、環境温度の変化等によって伸縮する。
まず、図1及び図2を参照しながら、実施の形態に係る画像表示装置2の全体構成について説明する。
次に、画像表示装置2の上部構造について詳細に説明する。図3は、実施の形態に係る画像表示装置2の上部構造を示す断面図である。図3においては、光学シート18a、18b、18c及び18dと、液晶セル22の図示は省略している。
以上のように、本実施の形態に係る画像表示装置2は、光源部(LEDバー34a)と、光源部から照射された光が一端面から進入し、当該光を前面から放出する矩形状の導光板36と、光源部及び導光板36を保持する放熱板32aと、光源部、導光板36及び放熱板32aを収容するベースプレート(下フレーム12)と、下フレーム12の壁部(上壁部122)に固定された状態で、導光板36を前方から押さえるフレーム(モールドフレーム16a)と、を備え、モールドフレーム16aは、壁部よりも内方に配置されて、壁部に沿う本体部164と、本体部164から延設し、導光板36における一端面側の端部(上端部)を前方から押さえる押さえ部165とを備え、押さえ部165は、弾性変形した状態で、導光板の端部を押圧している。
上記実施の形態では、モールドフレーム16aに第一突部170が設けられていることにより、押さえ部165が導光板36の上端部を押圧する場合を例示した。しかし、押さえ部165が導光板36の上端部を押圧するのであれば、その構成は如何様であってもよい。この変形例1では、下フレーム12の上壁部122に設けられた第一突部によって、押さえ部165が導光板36の上端部を押圧する場合について説明する。
変形例2では、押さえ部が予め正規の位置よりも後方に位置していることで、組み付け後においては押さえ部が導光板36の上端部を押圧する場合について説明する。
以上のように、本出願において開示する技術の例示として、実施の形態を説明した。しかしながら、本開示における技術は、これに限定されず、適宜、変更、置き換え、付加、省略などを行った実施の形態にも適用可能である。また、上記実施の形態で説明した各構成要素を組み合わせて、新たな実施の形態とすることも可能である。そこで、以下、他の実施の形態を例示する。

Claims (3)
- 光源部と、
前記光源部から照射された光が一端面から進入し、当該光を前面から放出する矩形状の導光板と、
前記光源部及び前記導光板を保持する放熱板と、
前記光源部、前記導光板及び前記放熱板を収容するベースプレートと、
前記ベースプレートの壁部に固定された状態で、前記導光板を前方から押さえるフレームと、を備え、
前記フレームは、
前記壁部よりも内方に配置されて、前記壁部に沿う本体部と、
前記本体部から延設し、前記導光板における前記一端面側の端部を前方から押さえる押さえ部とを備え、
前記本体部における前記押さえ部よりも前方の前部には、前記壁部に対向する位置に第一突部が設けられており、
前記第一突部の突出量は、前記本体部における前記押さえ部よりも後方に位置する後部と前記壁部との並び方向での前記後部と前記壁部との間隔よりも大きく、
前記第一突部は、前記後部に設けられた切欠きに対応する位置に設けられている

前記後部における前記放熱板と対向する面には、第二突部が形成されている
