Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing a laminate of nanofibers made of a polymer material, and more particularly to a method for producing a laminate of nanofibers made of a polymer material by heating and melting without using a solvent or a high voltage.
Recently, nanofibers, which are generally defined as fibers with a diameter of 1 micron (= 1,000 nm) or less, have been developed, and the method for producing nanofibers is the ESD (Electro-Spray Deposition) method. Alternatively, a technique called an electrospinning method has attracted the most attention, and the technique has been developed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the production of nanofibers by this ESD method, first, various biopolymers and polymer (hereinafter, also simply referred to as “polymers”) solutions dissolved in a solvent are filled in a syringe, and the needle type attached to the syringe is attached. A high DC voltage of several kV to several tens of kV is applied between the electrode and the collector electrode on which nanofibers are deposited from a high-voltage DC power source to generate a strong electric field field between the needle type electrode and the collector electrode. ..
In this environment, when the spinning solution is discharged from the needle type electrode toward the collector electrode, the solvent or the like that has dissolved the polymer evaporates momentarily in the electric field, and the polymer is stretched by Coulomb force while solidifying. Then, nano-order fibers are formed under mild conditions of room temperature and atmospheric pressure.
In nanofibers, unique functional expression can be expected due to the nanostructure. For example, nanofibers have a much larger surface area in the same volume than ordinary fibers, so in addition to the polymer-specific properties of conventional fibers. In addition, new functions such as adsorption properties and adhesive properties are manifested, and the development of new materials that have never existed can be expected. Research on multifunctional special protective clothing worn by police officers, firefighters, doctors, and nurses has begun, and military uniforms that are lighter than before and have unprecedented functions, in nanometer units, have been used for military purposes. The development of new laminated materials with different functions is in progress. Further, as shown in
As a conventional method for producing micro-order synthetic fibers, Non-Patent
By the way, in order to produce nanofibers of polymer fibers, polypropylene must be used by dissolving polypropylene in a solvent to reduce the viscosity in the above-mentioned electro-spinning method, which is being developed. Polypropylene (PP) As for)), there is no suitable solvent, so it must be spun only by melting.
As a method for producing ultrafine fibers only by melting, the above-mentioned Non-Patent
Further, Non-Patent

Further,
As mentioned above, although the production of nanofibers by the electrospinning method has been developed, many polymers of polymer materials are flammable, and the electrospinning method handles high voltage, so ignition, etc. It was difficult to handle because it had to be structured to prevent. In particular, regarding polypropylene (PP) without a suitable solvent (solution), there is a problem that satisfactory results cannot be obtained with polypropylene (PP) by the electrospinning method.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a nanofiber laminate made of a polymer material only by heating and melting without using a high voltage and without using a solvent. In particular, polypropylene (PP) without a suitable solvent (solution) does not use high voltage, not the spinning method that makes it high voltage like polypropylene (PP) of the conventional electro-spinning method. It is intended to provide a method for producing a more uniform polypropylene (PP) nanofiber laminate.
In order to solve the above problems, the invention of
According to the second aspect of the present invention, in the method for producing a laminate of nanofibers made of a polymer material according to
According to the third aspect of the present invention, in the method for producing a laminate of nanofibers made of a polymer material according to
The fourth aspect of the present invention is the method for producing a laminate of nanofibers of a polymer material selected from the first to third aspects, wherein the melt holding passage having the heating portion is immediately before the upstream side of the spinning nozzle. It is characterized by being placed.
According to the invention of
In addition, since a large-capacity buffer storage unit is provided between the spinning nozzle and the gear pump that supplies the polymer material, it is possible to supply the polymer material in a constant state with a supply amount lower than the minimum supply amount of the gear pump. It will be possible.
Further, since the tip of the spinning nozzle is surrounded by a nozzle wind tunnel having a predetermined length, the stretched region of the polymer material due to hot air becomes long, so that nanofibers of a finer polymer material can be manufactured.
Further, since the central discharge port at the tip of the ring-shaped spinning nozzle is projected from the hot air outlet so as to surround the central discharge port of the spinning nozzle, the hot air does not become turbulent and the polymer is polymerized. The material can be stretched with hot air in an orderly manner.
Since the blowing direction of the hot air outlet is set at an angle of 15 ° to 30 ° with respect to the central axis of the central discharge port, the contact force with the molten polymer material (N) is appropriately applied to the molten polymer material. The stretching action acts efficiently on (N) .
In addition, unlike the conventional method, it is manufactured only by heating and melting without using a high voltage and without using a solvent (solvent), so there is less danger, and no flammable solvent (solvent) liquid is used. Combined, it is extremely easy to handle.
In addition, since it is not an electro-spinning method as in the past, it is not necessary to use an expensive high voltage, it is not dangerous, and since the nanofibers are not charged with static electricity, it can be easily separated from the collection zone. Then, it can be transferred to a desired base material, and as a desired base material, not only a breathable base material but also a non-woven fabric having a small breathability or a non-breathable film can be used as the base material. can.
In this way, since it melts only by heat, it does not use dangerous and harmful solvents, and it does not use high voltage, so it is possible to mass-produce nanofiber laminates of polymer materials with long molecular arrangements at low cost. Become.
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the ceramic or ruby spinning nozzle is a very small member, but since it is a flange portion instead of a screw or the like, it can be processed and can be reliably fixed to the nozzle support.
According to the invention of
According to the invention of
One of the features of the present invention is a means for maintaining a molten state so that the fibrous fiber of a polymer material having a long molecular arrangement spun from a spinning nozzle is blown with heating air at a predetermined angle and the temperature is not further lowered. Is provided to maintain the polymer material from the spinning
Therefore, by melting the polymer material under high temperature by heating without applying a high voltage and using a heat-resistant ceramic or ruby spinning nozzle, nanofibers of the polymer material such as polypropylene can be used. Realized the production of laminates.
Hereinafter, the drawings will be described with reference to the drawings in the examples of the method for producing a nanofiber laminate of a polymer material having a long molecular arrangement such as polypropylene (PP), nylon (Nylon), and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) of the present invention. ..
A method for producing the nanofiber laminate N using polypropylene as the polypropylene of the embodiment of the present invention will be described, but as shown in the conceptual explanatory diagram showing the outline of FIG. 1 of the embodiment, the spinning nozzle and the polymer material are used. Since a large-capacity buffer storage unit is provided between the supply gear pump and the gear pump, it is possible to supply a polymer material having a supply amount lower than the minimum supply amount of the gear pump in a constant state. Then, the polypropylene melted by high heat is basically drawn from the (center)
[Nanofiber generator A]
As described above, the nanofiber generation unit A is mainly composed of a spinning

The inner diameter of the nozzle, which is the

This is a high-speed high-temperature airflow, and since polypropylene (N) is further stretched, the blowing angle of the ring-shaped hot air outlet 22 (the total angle of the left and right with respect to the axis of the central shaft hole 111) is important. As a result, the angle of about 30 ° to 50 °, that is, the blowing direction of the high-speed high-temperature airflow at the
Further, in order to efficiently stretch polypropylene (N), it is also important to reduce the viscosity of the molten polypropylene (N) by a high temperature. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, the hot
As described above, polypropylene (N) is kept at 270 ° C. or higher even at the

Further, as another Example 3, the shape of the
With this shape, surprisingly, the cotton candy-like nanofiber block generated in Example 1 did not occur at all, and the state of the ready-made nanofiber laminate was also optimum. It is considered that this is because the wind speed increases at the tip of the

The following conditions of Example 1 (with a nozzle cavity) were produced under the following conditions: an electron micrograph of × 200 times in FIG. 9, an electron micrograph of × 1000 times in FIG. 10, and an electron microscope of 10000 times in FIG. As shown in the photograph, it can be seen that nano-order nanofibers are laminated with respect to the μm scale in the photograph.
Further, from these child micrographs, it can be seen that the uniformity is improved as compared with the conventional electron micrographs of the nanofiber laminate described in
Note that FIG. 14 is an electron micrograph of 1000 times the case without the nozzle wind tunnel in Example 1, but the fiber diameter is clearly larger than that in the case of the nozzle wind tunnel in FIG. 10, and the nozzle is as in Example 1. It can be seen that the fiber diameter becomes smaller due to the presence of the wind tunnel even under the same conditions. It is considered that this is because the distance in the high temperature state becomes longer due to the nozzle wind tunnel, and polypropylene (PP) is stretched by that amount.

Even if the same polypropylene is used, the MFR (melt flow rate) value differs depending on the ethylene content, and even if the polypropylene content is extremely low and the ethylene content is extremely low and the polypropylene is hard, nano. Fibers are formed.

In the method for producing a nanofiber laminate N of polyporopylene according to Example 1 of the present invention, polypropylene (PP) nanofibers, which have been conventionally considered difficult to produce, can be produced without a solvent, and a flammable solution. Polypropylene (PP) nanofiber laminates can be obtained by an easy-to-handle manufacturing method because polypropylene is melted by heating without using any of the above, and the yarn is prevented from being pressurized and blown by high heat.
In addition, there is no danger of using a high-voltage power supply because it is manufactured only by melting without using a high voltage as in the past, and it is extremely easy to handle because it is only melted and does not use a flammable solvent. In addition, since static electricity and the like are not charged, it can be easily separated from the collection zone and transferred to a desired base material, and the desired base material is not only a breathable base material but also aerated. A non-woven fabric having a small property or a non-breathable film can be used as a base material.
In this way, polypropylene nanofiber laminates can be mass-produced at low cost.
