Description
図1は、実施形態1に係るエンジン1を示す。このエンジン1のエンジン本体10は、複数の気筒11が直列に並んだ多気筒エンジンであって、軽油を主成分とした燃料が供給されるディーゼルエンジンである。エンジン本体10は車両のエンジンルームに縦置きに配設されている。つまり、エンジン本体10の気筒列方向が車両前後方向と一致するようになっている。尚、以下の説明では、車両後側から車両前側を見たときの左側を車両左側、右側を車両右側という。
以下、実施形態2について、図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。尚、以下の説明において実施形態1と共通の部分については、同じ符号を付して、その詳細な説明を省略する。
ここに開示された技術は、上記実施形態に限られるものではなく、請求の範囲の主旨を逸脱しない範囲で代用が可能である。

Claims (6)
- エンジンの排気装置であって、
上記エンジンの排気通路に設けられた排気浄化触媒と、
上記排気通路における上記排気浄化触媒よりも下流側に、該排気浄化触媒と隣接して配置された微粒子捕集フィルタと、
上記排気浄化触媒と上記微粒子捕集フィルタとを接続する接続通路とを備え、
上記微粒子捕集フィルタは、相対する一対の短辺と相対する一対の長辺とを含む扁平形状の横断面を有し、
上記接続通路は、その流路断面積が上記微粒子捕集フィルタの上記横断面の面積よりも小さい小断面積部を部分的に有し、
上記接続通路における上記微粒子捕集フィルタとの接続部分には、その流路断面積が上記微粒子捕集フィルタの上記横断面の面積と同程度になるように拡大される拡大部が形成され、
上記拡大部には、上記小断面積部を通過した後の排気ガスを、該拡大部の周壁に沿って旋回させるようなガイド壁部が設けられており、
上記排気浄化触媒は、横方向に延びるように、上記エンジンのエンジン本体の側壁部に支持されており、
上記微粒子捕集フィルタは、上記排気浄化触媒の下側に配置されているとともに、上記横方向に延びかつ上記扁平形状における上記一対の長辺が上下方向に延びるように上記エンジン本体の上記側壁部に支持されており、
上記接続通路は、上記小断面積部が上下方向に延びるように、上記排気浄化触媒及び上記微粒子捕集フィルタに接続されており、
上記ガイド壁部は、上記拡大部の周壁における上記エンジン本体の上記側壁部から遠い側の部分に形成されかつ上下方向に延びかつ下側に向かって上記エンジン本体の上記側壁部に近づくように湾曲していることを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジンの排気装置において、
上記排気浄化触媒は、上記接続通路との接続部分に近づくにつれて下側に位置するように傾斜して配設されていることを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載のエンジンの排気装置において、
上記接続通路は、上記エンジン本体の上記側壁部の面直方向から見て、下側に向かって上記微粒子捕集フィルタに近づくように傾斜していることを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項1~3のいずれか1つに記載のエンジンの排気装置において、
上記拡大部の周壁における上記ガイド壁部と対向する部分には、排気ガスの状態を検出する排気ガスセンサが装着されていることを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項1~4のいずれか1つに記載のエンジンの排気装置において、
上記微粒子捕集フィルタの下流側に隣接して配設され、供給される還元剤により排気ガス中のNOxを還元する第1選択還元型触媒と、
上記接続通路における上記小断面積部よりも上流側の部分に設けられ、上記還元剤を供給するための還元剤供給手段とを更に備えることを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。 - 請求項5に記載のエンジンの排気装置において、
上記微粒子捕集フィルタには、上記第1選択還元型触媒と同じ機能の第2選択還元型触
媒が担持されていることを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。
