Claims (25)

前記超音波容器センサと電気通信し、前記超音波容器センサを制御するように構成されているコントローラとを備え、
前記コントローラは、前記超音波容器センサのリターン信号を音響信号から電気信号に変換し、前記貯蔵容器内に貯蔵された前記氷のレベルが制御されるように、前記アイスメーカを制御するように構成されており、
前記リターン信号のうち信号雑音を示す谷を除外するための閾値電圧と、
氷の山に対して、内壁に付いた水滴、水垢およびぬめりをフィルタリングするための第1の時間遅延と
が設定されており、
前記コントローラは、
前記超音波容器センサに最も近いリターン信号のピークの電圧が前記閾値電圧を下回って低下した後で、前記電圧が前記閾値電圧を上回ったままである時間長さを測定し、前記第1の時間遅延が経過する前に、前記電圧が前記閾値電圧を下回って低下する場合にその信号を無視するように構成されている、システム。 - 前記超音波容器センサは、前記本体の軸線に対して角度を成し、前記本体の前記第2の端部を画定する取付けフランジを含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。

前記超音波容器センサに最も近いリターン信号のピークの電圧が前記閾値電圧を下回って低下した後で、前記リターン信号が前記閾値電圧を上回ったままである時間長さを測定し、
前記第1の時間遅延が経過する前に、前記電圧が下回って低下する場合に当該リターン信号の一部を無視することと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記第1の時間遅延は275マイクロ秒~325マイクロ秒の範囲内である、請求項20に記載の方法。
- さらに距離閾値を予め設定しておき、
前記超音波容器センサに最も近いリターン信号のピークの電圧が前記閾値電圧を下回って低下した後で前記距離閾値を越える前に、前記リターン信号の一部分が閾値電圧を超え、且つ前記第1の時間遅延を超えると、前記アイスメーカによる氷製作を一時停止させる、請求項20または21に記載の方法。 - さらに距離閾値と、
前記信号雑音をフィルタリングするための第2の時間遅延と
が設定されており、
前記距離閾値を越える範囲では、前記第2の時間遅延を適用して、前記電圧が前記閾値電圧を上回ったままである時間長さを測定し、前記第2の時間遅延が経過する前に、前記電圧が前記閾値電圧を下回って低下する場合にその信号を無視するように構成されている、請求項20から22までの何れか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記第1の時間遅延は300マイクロ秒であり、前記第2の時間遅延は50マイクロ秒である、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記コントローラには、製氷機の貯蔵容器の氷のレベルを制御するための複数の設定が定義されており、前記複数の設定は、前記超音波容器センサの前記レンズから前記貯蔵容器内の氷の所望のレベルにより画定されるレベル位置までにおいて測定される氷検知距離を調整するように構成されており、
前記コントローラを、前記複数の設定のうちの第1の設定から第2の設定に移行させることをさらに含む、請求項20から24までの何れか一項に記載の方法。
