Description
本出願は、2016年10月4日出願の米国特許仮出願第62/403、876号に基づく優先権を主張するものである。上記出願の開示内容は、参照により本明細書中に援用される。
本発明は、概して、電気手術器及び痛みを治療する方法に関する。
Claims (33)
- 電気手術器であって、
長手方向に延在し、近位領域、遠位領域、及びルーメンを画定する内径を有するプローブであって、前記近位領域から前記遠位領域まで延在する電気的絶縁部分、及び前記遠位領域に設けられた、前記遠位領域に隣接する組織領域に無線周波数エネルギーを送達するための電気的に露出した導電性部分を含む、該プローブと、
前記組織領域に熱接触して、前記組織領域から熱エネルギーを除去するための伝熱システムであって、前記組織領域から約0.1ワットないし約50ワットの熱エネルギーを除去する、該伝熱システムと、
対象の体内の標的部位の近傍への前記プローブの前記遠位領域の挿入を容易にするためのイントロデューサであって、前記プローブの外径と共にイントロデューサルーメンを画定する内径、近位端部、及び前記標的部位にエネルギーを送達するときに前記プローブの前記露出した導電性部分が延出する遠位端部を有する、該イントロデューサと、
液体を注入するための側方ポートであって、前記イントロデューサルーメンと流体連通された、該側方ポートと、
前記側方ポートに接続されたチューブと
を備え、
前記チューブは、前記組織領域からさらに熱エネルギーを除去するベントを提供することを特徴とする電気手術器。 - 前記伝熱システムは、前記組織領域から約2ワットないし約12ワットの熱エネルギーを除去することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱システムは、前記ルーメン内に、少なくとも部分的に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱システムは、熱エネルギーを、約60秒間ないし約300秒間にわたって吸収または除去するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱システムは、前記組織領域に熱接触する熱除去材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
- 前記熱除去材料は、前記ルーメン内に配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記熱除去材料は、前記プローブ、前記イントロデューサ、またはそれらの組み合わせの外面に配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記熱除去材料は、伝熱材料、ヒートシンク、またはそれらの組み合わせを含むことを特徴とする請求項5ないし7のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱材料は、熱伝導性材料、1以上のペルチェ回路、またはそれらの組み合わせを含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記熱伝導性材料は、金属、セラミック材料、伝熱性ポリマー、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせを含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記金属は、銀ペーストを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記1以上のペルチェ回路は、当該電気手術器のハブ、当該電気手術器のハンドル、前記プローブの前記遠位領域、前記プローブの前記近位領域、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせの内部に配置され、
前記1以上のペルチェ回路と前記プローブの前記遠位領域との間に接続が存在することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の電気手術器。 - 前記各ペルチェ回路は、ホットサイド及びコールドサイドを含み、
前記ホットサイドは、前記プローブの前記近位領域に面し、
前記コールドサイドは、前記プローブの前記遠位領域に面することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の電気手術器。 - 前記ヒートシンクは、相変化材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記相変化材料は、約40℃ないし100℃の間で相変化することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記相変化材料は、約150ジュール/gないし約300ジュール/gの範囲の融解熱を有することを特徴とする請求項14または15に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記相変化材料は、約1gないし約12gの量で含まれ、それにより、150秒間にわたって前記プローブから約2ワットないし約12ワットの熱エネルギーを除去することを特徴とする請求項14ないし16のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
- 前記相変化材料は、パラフィンワックスを含むことを特徴とする請求項14ないし17のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
- 当該電気手術器は、前記プローブの前記遠位領域に設けられた前記プローブの前記電気的に露出した導電性部分から前記プローブの前記近位領域に向かって延出したコンダクタをさらに含み、
前記相変化材料は、前記コンダクタを取り囲むことを特徴とする請求項14ないし18のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。 - 前記ヒートシンクは、気体または加圧流体を含み、
前記気体または前記加圧流体は、前記ルーメン内に収容されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電気手術器。 - 前記気体は二酸化炭素または窒素であり、前記加圧流体は液体二酸化炭素であることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記ルーメンは、
前記気体または前記加圧流体を前記ルーメン内に導入するための入口チャネルと、
前記気体または前記加圧流体を前記ルーメンから排出するための出口チャネルとを有し、
前記入口チャネル及び前記出口チャネルは、セパレータにより画定され、
前記入口チャネルは、前記出口チャネルの直径よりも小さい直径を有することを特徴とする請求項20または21に記載の電気手術器。 - 前記ヒートシンクは、吸熱反応システムを含み、
前記吸熱反応システムは、別々に収容された第1の材料及び第2の材料を含み、前記第1の材料が前記第2の材料に接触したときに吸熱反応が起こることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電気手術器。 - 前記第1の材料は水を含み、前記第2の材料は硝酸アンモニウムを含むことを特徴とする請求項23に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記第1の材料及び前記第2の材料は、当該電気手術器の使用前に前記ルーメン内に挿入されたカートリッジ内に収容されることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱システムは、ワイヤをさらに含み、
前記ワイヤは、前記第1の材料及び前記第2の材料間の前記プローブの前記電気的に露出した導電性部分から前記吸熱反応システムへの熱伝達を促進することを特徴とする請求項23ないし25のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。 - 前記熱除去材料は、前記伝熱材料及び前記ヒートシンクを含み、
前記伝熱材料は前記ヒートシンクに熱接触していることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電気手術器。 - 前記ヒートシンクは、外部ヒートシンクであることを特徴とする請求項27に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱材料は、1以上の伝熱性ワイヤまたはコンジットを介して前記ヒートシンクに接続されていることを特徴とする請求項27または28に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記ヒートシンクは、一連のフィン、エッチング、微粒子、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせを含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電気手術器。
- 前記プローブの前記遠位領域に隣接する前記組織領域を、約90℃未満の温度に維持することを特徴とする請求項1ないし30のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱システムは、循環液を含まないことを特徴とする請求項1ないし31のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
- 前記伝熱システムは、ポンプを含まないことを特徴とする請求項1ないし31のいずれかに記載の電気手術器。
