距離測定装置1の構成は、上記実施の形態に示した構成以外に、種々の変更が可能である。

Claims (4)
- 測距用の投射光を出射する光源と、
測距領域から反射された反射光を受光する光検出器と、
コントローラと、を備え、
前記コントローラは、
前記投射光が照射された物体までの距離を取得するための測距動作時に、前記光検出器から出力される検出信号に基づいて、物体が遠距離にある場合の受光タイミングを検出する遠距離ルーチンと、物体が近距離にある場合の受光タイミングを検出する近距離ルーチンとを実行し、
前記遠距離ルーチンにおいて、
前記受光タイミングを検出するために前記検出信号に適用する閾値を、前記近距離ルーチンに比べて低く設定し、
前記投射光に基づく内部迷光が前記光検出器に入射して生じる前記検出信号の変化を前記受光タイミングの検出対象から除外するために、前記内部迷光の出現期間を含むようにマスク時間を設定し、前記検出信号が前記閾値を超えるタイミングが前記マスク時間に含まれる場合は、当該タイミングを前記受光タイミングの検出対象外とするマスク処理を実行し、
前記遠距離ルーチンにより検出された前記受光タイミングと、前記近距離ルーチンにより検出された前記受光タイミングの何れか一方を選択し、
選択した前記受光タイミングに基づいて、前記投射光が照射された物体までの距離を算出する、
ことを特徴とする距離測定装置。 - 請求項1に記載の距離測定装置において、
前記コントローラは、前記測距動作時に、前記遠距離ルーチンと前記近距離ルーチンをそれぞれ複数回実行し、前記受光タイミングの検出数が多い方のルーチンの前記受光タイミングを距離算出用の受光タイミングとして選択する、
ことを特徴とする距離測定装置。 - 請求項2に記載の距離測定装置において、
前記コントローラは、前記選択したルーチンの前記受光タイミングの平均値を前記反射光の受光タイミングとして、前記物体までの距離を算出する、
ことを特徴とする距離測定装置。 - 請求項1ないし3の何れか一項に記載の距離測定装置において、
前記遠距離ルーチンおよび前記近距離ルーチンにおいて、前記コントローラは、前記投射光が投射されてからの経過時間が、測距を行うべき距離範囲の最大値に対応した上限時間に到達するまでの間に、前記反射光の受光タイミングを検出できなかった場合、前記遠距離ルーチンおよび前記近距離ルーチンを終了する、
ことを特徴とする距離測定装置。
