Description
The present invention relates to a technique for purifying contaminated soil, and more specifically, to a technique for purifying contaminated soil by excavation and removal using an all-casing method.
The soil pollution problem in Japan became a social concern when heavy metals generated from mines polluted agricultural land, such as the Ashio Copper Mine Incident in the middle of the Meiji era and Itai-itai disease in the early Showa era. Therefore, at the beginning, attention was focused on the effects on the human body via agricultural and livestock products, and the first law on soil (“Law on Prevention of Soil Contamination of Agricultural Land” promulgated in 1970) also targeted agricultural land.
After that, as the industry entered a period of high growth and the industry achieved dramatic development, discharge from factories, elution from waste, groundwater pollution due to inappropriate drainage, etc. progressed, but the pollution situation is grasped. Due to the difficulty, it did not become apparent for a while, and the contaminated soil in urban areas was taken up as a social problem for the first time due to the pollution problem caused by hexavalent chromium in the 1950s. Then, in 1991, the "Environmental Standards for Soil Contamination" was enacted, and in February 2003, the "Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law" was enforced.
Since the enforcement of the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law, full-scale soil contamination surveys have been conducted nationwide, and as a result, many sites requiring countermeasures have been extracted. be. Countermeasures for contaminated soil are roughly divided into methods for purifying contaminated soil and methods for non-purification such as insolubilization and containment (hereinafter referred to as "non-purification methods"). Methods for purifying contaminated soil are further divided into in-situ purification and excavation removal, and in-situ purification includes in-situ decomposition such as bioremediation mainly targeting volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In-situ extraction such as soil gas suction can be mentioned.
Excavation removal is a so-called replacement method in which contaminated soil is excavated and removed and backfilled with clean earth and sand, and is most often used as a countermeasure for contaminated soil. The reason for this is that unlike non-purification methods such as containment, it is a permanent measure with excellent reliability and explanation, and the cause of pollution is not limited as in bioremediation.
When excavating contaminated soil by excavation removal, it is common to excavate while ensuring a stable slope when the depth is relatively shallow, and to excavate using earth retaining support when the depth is relatively deep. By the way, the countermeasure range for contaminated soil is basically 10m x 10m, and when excavating this basic unit at a relatively large depth (for example, to the extent that the earth retaining support does not stand on its own), there is a problem with the conventional construction method. there were. That is, if ordinary earth retaining support is used, cutting beams and flint are required, and as a result, workability such as subsequent backfilling work deteriorates. It is conceivable to adopt a self-supporting underground continuous wall construction method in order to use the excavation space widely, but the construction period will be long and the construction cost will be high. In any case, considering the narrow range of 10m x 10m, the effect that is worth the cost cannot be obtained.
Therefore, in recent years, as disclosed in
As shown in FIG. 11, the all-casing method shown in
The excavation removal by the all-casing method is a method of constructing a clean columnar portion (hereinafter referred to as "improved body") by excavating to remove contaminated soil and then backfilling clean earth and sand in the casing Ct. By the way, since the excavation cross section of the all-casing method is circular, when targeting a rectangular area such as 10 m × 10 m, excavation is performed while partially overlapping with the adjacent improved body. Therefore overlapping parts (hereinafter, "overlapping portion" referred to.) In, skip back filled with drilling in improved body preceding is performed, further also backfill and drilling a subsequent improvement body is performed. In other words, in the overlapping part, since it is necessary to excavate twice, the construction work increases by that amount, and in the second excavation, the backfill soil (clean soil) is excavated and discharged, and the amount of disposal increases and the material Was pointed out as a problem.
In order to solve the above problem due to the overlapping portion, Patent Document 2 proposes a technique of not overlapping adjacent improved bodies by using a casing for excavation having a rectangular cross section. Certainly, according to this technology, waste of material generated in the overlapping part can be avoided, but as a result of making the casing a rectangular cross section, the all-casing method cannot be adopted. However, this will make the workability worse.
The object of the present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art, that is, it is possible to avoid the inefficiency caused by the partial duplication of adjacent improved bodies after adopting the all-casing method. To provide a soil purification method.
The invention of the present application was made focusing on the point that a recycled material (a material separable from contaminated soil) is used as a backfill material after excavation, and was carried out based on an unprecedented idea. It is an invention.
The contaminated soil purification method of the present invention is a method of purifying the soil in the target range by constructing a columnar improved body while partially overlapping it, and includes an excavation process, a backfilling process, and a drawing process. .. The improved body according to the present invention is constructed by excavating and removing contaminated soil by the all-casing method and then backfilling high-quality soil (clean soil). In the backfilling process, the recycled material is backfilled in the entire casing excavated (excavation process) by the all-casing method, and in the drawing process, the casing is pulled out. The recycled material used in the backfilling process is a material that can be easily separated from the contaminated soil even if it is mixed with the contaminated soil.
The contaminated soil purification method of the present invention may be a method further including a separation and cleaning step. In the separation cleaning step, the recycled material is separated from the contaminated soil and cleaned. In this case, in the backfilling step, the separated and washed recycled material is backfilled.
The contaminated soil purification method of the present invention may also be a method using a recycle, iron ball, or plastic material as the recycled material.
The contaminated soil purification method of the present invention has the following effects.
(1) Since the recycled material is backfilled, the backfill material (particularly clean soil) is not wasted as in the conventional case.
(2) Since the recycled material is used as the backfill material, the amount of disposal to be carried out of the site can be reduced as compared with the conventional case.
(3) Since waste of backfill material is avoided and the amount of disposal to be carried out of the site is reduced, the cost for the entire construction can be reduced.

(Improved body)
FIG. 2 is a step diagram showing each stage until the improved body is constructed, and FIG. 2 (b) shows that the contaminated soil was removed by excavation by the all-casing method from the state before excavation shown in FIG. 2 (a). ). The columnar space after excavation is referred to as an "excavator" here for convenience. The "
The
(Overlapping part)
As described above, when the rectangular target area as shown in FIG. 1 is to be covered by the improved body by the all-casing method, the adjacent improved bodies 10 (that is, the improved body areas 11) partially overlap each other. .. FIG. 3 is a plan view showing a state in which adjacent
The overlapping
(Separate room and bulkhead)
The isolated chamber is a space provided in the casing Ct and is isolated from other areas in the casing Ct. A partition wall is used to form this septum. In other words, the closed space formed by the inner wall of the casing Ct and the partition wall is a separated chamber. The compartment formed in the region corresponding to the front overlapping
Since the septum needs to be formed in the entire backfilling range (depth direction), the partition wall needs to have a length (height) of at least the backfilling height or more. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5, it is preferable to build the
As described above, the front overlapping
Since the positions and the number of locations of the front overlapping
(Reused material)
The material that can be easily separated from the contaminated soil (that is, can be sorted from the contaminated soil) even when mixed with the contaminated soil is the recycled material here. For example, a reki that can be easily separated from contaminated soil by vibrating sieving (for example, 20 mm or more, or 2 mm or more), an iron ball that can be easily separated using a magnet, and a specific gravity difference that can be easily separated. A material such as a plastic material that can be used can be used as a reusable material.
2. First Embodiment Next, the first embodiment, which is an example of the contaminated soil purification method of the present invention, will be described with reference to the drawings. The first embodiment is a method in which a
FIG. 8 is a flow chart showing the flow of the main steps of the contaminated soil purification method of the first embodiment. First, a survey is performed to center the
When excavation is possible to the planned depth, the

The inside of the

3. 3. Second Embodiment Next, a second embodiment, which is an example of the contaminated soil purification method of the present invention, will be described with reference to the drawings. The second embodiment is a method of backfilling the entire excavated casing Ct with a recycled material.

When excavation is possible to the planned depth, the casing Ct is backfilled with recycled material (Step204). In this case, a recycled material that has been subjected to a predetermined treatment can also be used. Since the recycled material discharged after excavation is mixed with the contaminated soil, the contaminated soil and the recycled material are sorted (Step205), and the selected recycled material is wet-cleaned (Step206) and recycled. It is used as a material for use. When separating recycled materials, use a vibrating sieve when using a lumber (for example, 20 mm or more, or 2 mm or more), use magnetic force when using a magnet, and use a specific gravity difference when using a plastic material. As mentioned above, it can be separated by using. As the recycled material used here, the material excavated in the excavation process of the
(Step207)。 When the backfilling step (Step204) with the recycled material is completed, the casing Ct is pulled out by the excavator Mc (Step207).
