Description
The present invention relates to a film formation quality determination device and a film formation quality determination method.
When manufacturing a plastic container such as a PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottle for filling a beverage or the like, a technique of applying a DLC coating to the inside of the container is known in order to prevent deterioration of the quality of the contents. For example, Patent Document 1 describes a method of forming a gas barrier film inside a plastic container by a CVD (chemical vapor deposition) method. The film forming method described in Patent Document 1 includes a drying step and a CVD film forming step. First, in the drying step, the plastic container is housed in the vacuum chamber, and the drying gas is injected into the plastic container with the pressure set to 100 Pa or less. As a result, when the plastic container is dried, the inside of the plastic container is replaced with the raw material gas in the CVD film forming step, and the raw material gas is converted into plasma to form a gas barrier film on the inner surface of the container.
In the conventional CVD method described in Patent Document 1 and the like, the film formation quality is determined by confirming whether or not the physical quantity such as the voltage applied to the plasma conversion electrode of the raw material gas is within a predetermined allowable range. In many cases, it was done by doing. However, in reality, even if the physical quantity during film formation is within a predetermined allowable range, the film formation quality may deteriorate, and a method for more accurately determining the film formation quality has been required.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a film formation quality determination device and a film formation quality determination method capable of solving the above-mentioned problems.

図1に示すバリア膜形成装置30は、CVD(chemical vapor deposition)法によってDLC(Diamond Like Carbon)等のガスバリア膜を容器10の内表面に成膜する装置である。
<Embodiment>
Hereinafter, the film formation quality determination device according to the embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a barrier membrane forming apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The barrier
The barrier

The

Graph L4 shows the transition of the current value measured by the
Graph L5 shows the transition of the estimated temperature of the raw material gas estimated by the
Conventionally, each value of the pressure (vacuum value) shown by the graph L1 during the film forming process, the gas flow rate shown by the graph L2, the voltage shown by the graph L3, and the current shown by the graph L4 is acquired, and each value is within a predetermined range. The quality of the film formed on the inner surface of the
Therefore, in the present embodiment, in addition to the conventional quality determination method, attention is paid to the rate of change of each physical quantity, and if the amount of change in a unit time is large, it is determined that the quality may be poor. .. This enables more accurate quality judgment.
Further, in the present embodiment, the
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of a transition of a pressure value measured during a film forming process according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Of the physical quantities illustrated in FIG. 3, the shapes of the graphs of the current, voltage, estimated temperature, and gas flow rate excluding pressure are represented by rectangles and trapezoids. That is, those physical quantities have a steady-state period in which they stably take a constant value, and then, as described with reference to FIG. 5, the
The
The film forming process start (time T1) is the time when the information instructing the start of the film forming process is input.
Further, the rate of
Next, the quality judgment of a physical quantity having a steady period will be described using voltage as an example.
FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example of a transition of a voltage value measured during a film forming process according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The quality determination of the physical quantity having a steady period is also the same as the case of the pressure determination described with reference to FIG. That is, the

By the way, during the period for executing the film forming process, there is a pre-heating period in which the temperature inside the
For example, the
Further, the rate of
Similarly, during the film formation period (time T2 to T3), the

In FIG. 5, the description has been made using voltage as an example, but the same applies to other physical quantities (current, estimated temperature, gas flow rate). That is, for each of the pre-heating period and the film forming period, the
The value in the predetermined range set for the pre-heating period and the value in the predetermined range set for the film formation period may be the same. Further, the threshold value of the rate of change set for the pre-heating period and the threshold value of the rate of change set for the film formation period may be the same value.
Further, the magnitude of the voltage applied during the pre-heating period and the film forming period may be the same, or a higher voltage may be applied during the pre-heating period.
Further, the monitoring period to be determined may be set to a different length for each physical quantity, starting from the start of the film forming process (time T1).
Of the physical quantities illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 5, the pressure and gas flow rate are generally designed unless there are factors such as a failure of the
Next, the flow of the film formation quality determination process of the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing an example of processing of the film formation quality determination device according to the embodiment of the present invention.
First, a user (administrator of the film forming process, etc.) inputs heating wire information such as the diameter, length, connection method, and material characteristics of the

By the process of step S11, the transition of each physical quantity illustrated in FIG. 3 can be obtained.
Next, the
The
When the values of all physical quantities during the film forming process fall within a predetermined range (step S12; Yes), the rate of
Next, the
On the other hand, when the rate of change for all physical quantities is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value (step S14; Yes), the
According to the present embodiment, in the formation of a gas barrier film on the inner surface of a PET bottle or the like, in addition to whether or not the physical quantities related to the film formation process fall within the control values, the amount of change in various physical quantities per unit time is monitored. By doing so, it is possible to capture changes in the film formation environment and the film formation processing status. The magnitude of the threshold value used for determination in monitoring the amount of change can be set to a magnitude equal to or less than the difference between the upper limit value and the lower limit value that define the range of the control value (value to be taken by the physical quantity). As a result, even if the physical quantity is within the control value and there seems to be no problem at first glance, the ability to detect quality defects that may occur can be enhanced, and a higher quality and stable film formation process can be realized.
In addition, since monitoring is performed on a plurality of physical quantities that strongly affect the formation of the film, more comprehensive and appropriate quality control can be performed. Further, in the present embodiment, the temperature of the raw material gas can be monitored, but it is not necessary to provide a temperature sensor in the
