Description
本出願は、2016年6月2日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/344,577号(U.S. Provisional Application Serial No.62/344,577)の優先権を主張し、この開示は、その全体が参照によって本明細書に組み込まれる。
本開示は、一般的に潤滑剤組成物に関する。
潤滑剤組成物は、典型的には、潤滑剤組成物自体および/または潤滑剤組成物の使用が予定される機器(例えば車両)の性能に関連する多くの性能特性を有することが要求される。最近、市場要因と政府規制により、改めて車両の燃費に重きが置かれている。したがって、改善された燃費を有する潤滑剤組成物を開発する機会が残っている。
本開示は、潤滑剤組成物を提供する。潤滑剤組成物は、潤滑剤組成物100重量部を基準にして少なくとも約60重量部の量のポリアルキレングリコール基油成分を含む。潤滑剤組成物は、それぞれASTM D445に従って測定された、100℃で約4〜約50cStの動粘度および40℃で約20〜約700cStの動粘度を有する。潤滑剤組成物は、車両の燃費を高めるのに有用である。
本開示は、潤滑剤組成物を提供する。この潤滑剤組成物は、様々な潤滑用途に利用することができ、かつ車軸、トランスミッション(手動または自動)、トランスファーケース、パワーテイクオフ、トランスアクスル、およびベアリング/ホイール用の潤滑剤として特に有用である。
本開示の範囲内の2つの潤滑剤組成物を、潤滑剤組成物1および2として表1に示している。表1はまた、比較用潤滑剤AおよびBとして2つの比較用潤滑剤を示す。表1における各潤滑剤のそれぞれの各成分は、各潤滑剤100重量部を基準にして重量部で示す。
Claims (10)
- 潤滑剤組成物100重量部を基準にして少なくとも60重量部の量のポリアルキレングリコール基油成分を含む潤滑剤組成物であって、
前記潤滑剤組成物が、それぞれASTM D445に従って測定された、100℃で4〜50cStの動粘度および40℃で20〜700cStの動粘度を有し、
前記ポリアルキレングリコール基油成分が、
前記潤滑剤組成物100重量部を基準にして50〜85重量部の量の第1のポリアルキレングリコールと、
前記潤滑剤組成物100重量部を基準にして5〜35重量部の量の第2のポリアルキレングリコールと
を含み、
前記第1のポリアルキレングリコールが、それぞれASTM D445に従って測定された、100℃で2〜70cStの動粘度および40℃で5〜200cStの動粘度を有し、
第2のポリアルキレングリコールが、それぞれASTM D445に従って測定された、100℃で50〜220cStの動粘度および40℃で150〜1,300cStの動粘度を有し、かつ
前記第2のポリアルキレングリコールは、100℃および40℃で前記第1のポリアルキレングリコールの動粘度よりも高い動粘度を有する、
潤滑剤組成物。 - 前記第1のポリアルキレングリコールが、それぞれASTM D445に従って測定された、100℃で2〜30cStの動粘度および40℃で10〜50cStの動粘度を有し、かつ
前記第2のポリアルキレングリコールが、それぞれASTM D445に従って測定された、100℃で120〜200cStの動粘度および40℃で800〜1,200cStの動粘度を有する、請求項1記載の潤滑剤組成物。 - 前記第1のポリアルキレングリコールと前記第2のポリアルキレングリコールのうちの少なくとも一方が、エチレンオキシドとプロピレンオキシドとの反応生成物から形成されたランダムコポリマーである、請求項1または2記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- ストライベック条件下、1,000mm/sの速度、および100℃の温度で測定した場合に0.030未満のトラクション係数を有する、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- ストライベック条件下、1,000mm/sの速度、および40℃の温度で測定した場合に0.020未満のトラクション係数を有する、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- ジエステルをさらに含む、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 酸化防止剤、腐食防止剤、泡制御添加剤、極圧添加剤、耐摩耗添加剤、清浄剤、および粘度指数向上剤から選択される少なくとも1種の添加剤を含有する添加剤パッケージをさらに含み、ここで、分散剤を本質的に含まない、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- タイプI、II、III、およびIVの基油を本質的に含まない、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 車軸用潤滑剤である、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 車軸を有する車両の燃費を高める方法であって、前記方法が、
請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の潤滑剤組成物を車軸用潤滑剤として準備するステップと、
前記潤滑剤と前記車両の車軸とを接触させて前記車両の燃費を高めるステップと
を含む、方法。
