Description
本発明は、機械工作の分野、特には、例えば自動車工学、航空機製造、造船、機械製造、玩具製造などである機械的製造の分野に属する。
自動車、航空および他の産業においては、従来、鉄骨構造から離れて、代わりに、アルミニウムまたはマグネシウム金属板、または炭素繊維強化ポリマーまたはガラス繊維強化ポリマー等のポリマー、もしくは強化されていない例えばポリエステル、ポリカーボネートなどのポリマーといった軽量材料を用いる傾向にある。
本発明の目的は、2つの物体を互いに結合する方法を提供することにあり、本方法は、先行技術による方法の欠点を克服し、かつポリマーベース物質である第1の物体へ第2の物体を結合することに特に適する。さらなる目的は、本方法を実行するための備品を提供することにある。
第1の物体を提供するステップであって、第1の物体は、熱可塑性の液化可能物質を固体状態で含むステップと、
第2の物体を提供するステップであって、第2の物体は、アンダーカットの付いたカップリング構造体を有する表面部分を有し、かつ/または、第2の物体は、後述するように、このようなアンダーカットの付いたカップリング構造体を含むように変形されることが可能であり、これにより、第2の物体は、第1の物体とポジティブフィット式に連結することができるステップと、
ツールに機械的振動が結合される間に、第2の物体のカップリングイン構造体と物理接触しているツールによって、第2の物体を第1の物体に押し付けるステップと、
押し付けかつ振動をツールに結合するステップを、第1の物体の熱可塑性物質のフロー部分が液化されて第2の物体のカップリング構造体に流れ込むまで続けるステップと、
第1の物体の熱可塑性物質を再凝固させて、第1および第2の物体間に、液化されかつ再凝固されたフロー部分がカップリング構造体に染み込むことによりポジティブフィット連結を産出するステップと、を含む。
ある実施形態グループにおいて、第2の物体は、第1の材料の第1の部分と、第2の材料の第2の部分とを備える。この実施形態グループは、例えば、第1の部分が、第1および第2の物体のアッセンブリへさらなるエレメントを連結するためのねじ山または他の構造体等の重要なセクションを備え、高品質の建材、例えばステンレス鋼、チタン、アルミニウム、銅などで製造されるのに対して、第2の部分が、より低コストの材料を含み、かつ主として第2の物体を第1の物体に対して安定させる働きをする場合に、コスト節約を可能にし得る。
第3の物体を第1の物体へ、第2の物体を第1の物体へ結合することによって連結し、かつこれにより、第3の物体を第1の物体へ固定する方法に関し、本方法は、
第1の物体を提供するステップであって、第1の物体は、熱可塑性の液化可能物質を固体状態で含むステップと、
第3の物体を提供するステップと、
第2の物体を提供するステップであって、第2の物体は、アンダーカットの付いたカップリング構造体を有し、かつ/またはこのようなアンダーカットの付いたカップリング構造体を含むように変形されることが可能な表面部分を備え、これにより、第2の物体は、第1の物体とポジティブフィット式に連結することができるステップと、
第3の物体を第1の物体に関連して配置するステップと、
ツールに機械的振動が結合される間に、第2の物体のカップリングイン構造体と物理接触しているツールによって、第2の物体を第1の物体に押し付けるステップと、
押し付けかつ振動をツールに結合するステップを、第1の物体の熱可塑性物質のフロー部分が液化されて第2の物体のカップリング構造体に流れ込むまで続けるステップと、
第1の物体の熱可塑性物質を再凝固させて、第1および第2の物体間に、液化されかつ再凝固されたフロー部分がカップリング構造体に染み込むことによりポジティブフィット連結を引き起こすステップとを含み、
第2の物体を第1の物体へ押し当てるステップは、第2の物体が第3の物体と物理接触して第3の物体を第1の物体へ固定するまで実行される。
本発明による方法に適する機械的振動または発振は、好ましくは、2kHzから200kHzまでの間(さらにより好ましくは、10kHzから100kHzまでの間、または20kHzから40kHzまでの間)の周波数、および有効表面1平方ミリメートル当たり0.2Wから20Wまでの振動エネルギーを有する。振動ツール(例えば、ソノトロード)は、例えば、その接触面が主としてツール軸の方向へ(長手方向振動)、かつ1μmから100μmまでの間の、好ましくは約30μmから60μmまでの振幅で揺動するように設計される。このような好ましい振動は、例えば超音波溶接から知られるような超音波デバイスによって生成される。
以下、図面を参照して、本発明および実施形態を実行するための方法について説明する。図面は、略図である。諸図面を通じて、同一の参照数字は、同一または類似するエレメントを指す。図面は、別段の指摘のない限り、固定軸に平行な平面に沿った断面(「垂直」断面)の図を示す。
図1aは、本発明の実施形態の基本的な設定を描いている。第1の物体1は、熱可塑性物質から成り、例えば、緻密または発泡式のポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)またはポリカーボネートまたはアクリロニトリル・ブタジエン・スチレンまたは室温で固体でありかつ例えば250℃より低い融解温度を有する他の熱可塑性ポリマーから成る。
このような変位および/または変形が望ましくなく、最小限に保たれるべきである場合、かつ/または、
第2の物体の形状/サイズおよび/または第1の物体の抵抗に起因して、第2の物体を第1の物体の表面を介して押すことが困難である場合、かつ/または、
単にソノトロードおよび/または外的手段による、第2の物体を導入する間の誘導が困難である場合には、
第2の物体を第1の物体に押し当てるステップに先行して、第1の物体にボア20を設けることが1つのオプションである。これについては、図2でも略示されている。
内側部分および外側部分は、図3aおよび図3bのように、一体式であっても、離散ピースで構成されてもよい。
この目的に沿って、図6bに示されている第1の段階において、第2の物体は、第1の物体の熱可塑性物質の液状化が起こるまで、第1の物体へ機械的振動が結合される間に第1の物体へ押し付けられ、よって、第2の物体は、遠位方向へと前進され、同時に第1の物体の熱可塑性物質による第2のエレメントの陥凹部5内への流れ11が生じる。
第2の物体のテーパの開放角αは、貫通開口20のテーパの開放角βより大きく、これにより、第2の物体は、より中心側の遠位位置よりも、より周縁側の近位位置において、第1の物体に深く浸透する。
Claims (18)
- 第1の物体へ第2の物体を結合する方法であって、
第1の物体を提供するステップであって、第1の物体は、熱可塑性の液化可能物質を固体状態で含むステップと、
前記第2の物体を提供するステップであって、前記第2の物体は、アンダーカットの付いた接合用構造体を有するか、またはこのようなアンダーカットの付いた接合用構造体を含むように変形されることが可能な表面部分を備え、これにより、前記第2の物体は、前記第1の物体と押し込み嵌合式に連結することができるステップと、
第2の物体の振動印加部と物理接触しているツールによって、該ツールを機械的に振動させながら、第2の物体を第1の物体に押し付けるステップと、
前記ツールによって第2の物体を第1の物体に押し付ける前記ステップを、第1の物体の熱可塑性物質のフロー部分が液化されて第2の物体の前記接合用構造体に流れ込むまで続けるステップと、
前記第1の物体の前記熱可塑性物質を再凝固させて、前記第1および第2の物体間に、前記液化されかつ再凝固されたフロー部分が前記接合用構造体に染み込むことにより押し込み嵌合連結を産出するステップと、を含み、
前記接合用構造体は、横方向に互いに離隔された、遠位側に開口する複数の開口を備え、該複数の開口は軸方向に関してアンダーカットを画定し、
前記フロー部分の流れは前記アンダーカットを画定する前記開口への逆流を含み、
前記複数の開口の遠位部分が前記方法を実行する間に前記第1の物体に埋め込められる、方法。 - 前記第2の物体の前記振動印加部は、近位側に面する振動印加面または前記第2の物体を振動発生装置へ締め付けるための構造体を備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の物体の前記接合用構造体は、液化可能でない物質、または前記フロー部分の液化温度より略高い温度で液化可能な物質製である、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の物体は、変形可能部分を有し、前記方法は、前記ツールを機械的に振動させながら前記ツールによって第2の物体を第1の物体に押し付ける前記ステップによって、前記変形可能部分を変形させることを含み、一方で、前記変形可能部分は、前記第1の物体の液化した物質によって少なくとも部分的に取り囲まれる、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記変形可能部分を変形させることは、前記変形可能部分を軸方向から離れて曲げさせることを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記ツールによって第2の物体を第1の物体に押し付ける前記ステップの間に、前記第1の物体をサポートに当てて置くことをさらに含み、前記サポートは、前記変形を支援する成形構造体を有する、請求項4または5に記載の方法。
