Description
本発明は、視差光学部品を使用する光アライン可能な材料に配向パターンを生成する方法に関する。本発明は、さらに、パターン化された異方性特性と視差光学部品とを持つ光学デバイスに関する。本発明のデバイスは、様々な適用に対して有効な、角度依存の光学的異方性特性を有する。
パターン化された異方性特性を持つ素子は、例として、局所的に異なる光学軸方向を持つ重合したまたは架橋した液晶を含む層を包含する光学素子として公知である。そのような層は、例として、局所的に異なるアライメント方向を呈するアライメント層上に架橋性液晶材料を適用することによって調製される。液晶材料は、下層のアライメント層の局所的なアライメント方向を採用し、配向を固定するために架橋される。
本発明の目的は、光アライン可能な材料を含む層における配向パターンの簡便な生成方法を提供することである。本発明のもう一つの目的は、異方性特性を含む新規光学デバイスを提供することである。

Claims (8)
- 光アライメント層に配向パターンを生成する方法であって、
光アライメント層(1、31)を提供する工程と、
視差光学素子(3、32)を提供する工程と、
光アライメント層から適切な距離をおいて視差光学素子(3)、または視差光学素子(32)の光学活性部を配置する工程と、
視差光学素子の基準面に対する第一の入射角(8)での第一の偏光方向(7)のアライニング光(6)による視差光学素子の照射工程であって、光アライメント層の第一の領域に異方性を誘導するために、アライニング光が視差光学素子により光アライメント層の表面上の第一の領域(9、34)に向けられる工程と、
光アライメント層および視差光学素子の相互の位置および配向を変化させることなく、視差光学素子の基準面に対する第二の入射角(18)での第二の偏光方向(17)のアライニング光(16)による視差光学素子の照射工程であって、光アライメント層の第二の領域に異方性を誘導するために、アライニング光が視差光学素子により光アライメント層(1、31)上の第二の領域(11、36)に向けられる工程と、を含む

- 光アライメント層および視差光学素子の相互の位置および配向を変化させることなく、第二の照射工程がアライニング光の第二の入射角で適用され、前記アライニング光の偏光方向が、第二の入射角(18)下で照射されるアライニング光の第二の偏光方向(17)と異なる、請求項6記載の方法。
- アライニング光(26)が視差光学素子(32)を通過することなく、視差光学素子を使用する照射に使用される偏光方向(7、17)とは異なる偏光方向(30)で光アライメント層(31)に照射される照射工程によって特徴付けられる、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項記載の方法。
