デバイスの中に組み込まれる電気光学ディスプレイのキックバック電圧を測定するための方法であって、上記デバイスは、電気光学材料の層にわたって位置付けられ、画像を表示するために上記電気光学材料を駆動するように構成されている第1の電極と、上記第1の電極に結合され、第1の信号経路を形成するための第1の切替状態と第2の信号経路を形成するための第2の切替状態との間で切り替えるために構成される制御回路と、一定電圧を上記第1の電極に維持するように構成されるコンデンサとを含み、
上記方法は、
上記デバイスの動作に関連付けられたトリガイベントの発生に応じて、上記キックバック電圧の測定を開始するステップと、
上記制御回路が上記第2の切替状態にあるとき、上記コンデンサを上記第2の信号経路から隔離するステップと
を含む、方法。

- 装置であって、前記装置は、
第1の電極と、
第2の電極と、
前記第1の電極と前記第2の電極との間に配置される電気光学材料と、
電圧を供給するように構成される制御回路と、
前記装置のキックバック電圧を測定する測定回路と、
コンデンサと、
前記第1の電極に結合されたスイッチと
を備え、
前記スイッチは、
第1の切替状態において、前記第1の電極を前記コンデンサに結合し、かつ、前記第1の電極を前記制御回路に結合することにより、前記制御回路が前記電圧を前記第1の電極に供給するようにすることと、
第2の切替状態において、前記第1の電極を前記コンデンサではなく前記制御回路でもなく前記測定回路に結合することと
を行うように構成される、装置。 - 前記第1の電極、前記第2の電極、および前記電気光学材料は、組み合わせて、ディスプレイモジュールの少なくともの一部を画定し、前記第1の電極は、前記ディスプレイモジュールのためのコモン電極として構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の電極は、複数のピクセルを画定する、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記電気光学材料は、電気泳動材料である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記測定回路は、演算増幅器を備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 電気光学ディスプレイであって、前記電気光学ディスプレイは、
電気光学材料の層の上に位置付けられる第1の電極と、
前記電気光学材料の層の下に位置付けられる第2の電極と、
第1の切替状態および第2の切替状態を有するスイッチと、
制御回路と、
前記電気光学ディスプレイのキックバック電圧を測定する測定回路と、
コンデンサと
を備え、
前記第1および第2の電極は、前記電気光学材料を駆動して画像を表示するように構成され、
前記スイッチが前記第1の切替状態にあるときに、
前記第1の電極が前記制御回路に結合されて第1の信号経路を形成し、前記コンデンサが前記第1の電極に結合され、前記コンデンサが一定電圧を前記第1の電極に維持するために構成され、
前記スイッチが前記第2の切替状態にあるときに、
前記第1の電極が前記制御回路から分断されかつ前記測定回路に結合されて第2の信号経路を形成し、前記コンデンサが、前記第1の電極から分断され、かつ、前記第2の信号経路から隔離される、電気光学ディスプレイ。 - 前記電気光学材料は、回転2色部材またはエレクトロクロミック材料を備える、請求項6に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記電気光学材料は、流体内に配置された複数の帯電粒子を備える電気泳動材料を備え、前記複数の帯電粒子は、電場の影響下、前記流体を通して移動可能である、請求項6に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記帯電粒子および前記流体は、複数のカプセルまたはマイクロセル内に閉じ込められる、請求項8に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記帯電粒子および前記流体は、ポリマー材料を含む連続相によって囲繞される複数の離散液滴として存在する、請求項8に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記流体は、ガス状である、請求項8に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 請求項6に記載のディスプレイを備える電子デバイスであって、前記電子デバイスは、電子書籍リーダ、ポータブルコンピュータ、タブレットコンピュータ、携帯電話、スマートカード、看板、腕時計、棚ラベル、またはフラッシュドライブを備える、電子デバイス。
- デバイスの中に組み込まれる電気光学ディスプレイのキックバック電圧を測定するための方法であって、前記デバイスは、電気光学材料の層の上に位置付けられる第1の電極と、前記電気光学材料の層の下に位置付けられる第2の電極と、第1の切替状態および第2の切替状態を有するスイッチと、制御回路と、前記電気光学ディスプレイの前記キックバック電圧を測定する測定回路と、コンデンサとを含み、
前記スイッチが前記第1の切替状態にあるときに、
前記第1の電極が前記制御回路に結合されて第1の信号経路を形成し、前記コンデンサが前記第1の電極に結合され、前記コンデンサが一定電圧を前記第1の電極に維持するために構成され、
前記スイッチが前記第2の切替状態にあるときに、
前記第1の電極が前記制御回路から分断されかつ前記測定回路に結合されて第2の信号経路を形成し、前記コンデンサが、前記第1の電極から分断され、かつ、前記第2の信号経路から隔離され、
前記方法は、
前記スイッチを前記第1の切替状態にし、前記コンデンサを前記第1の電極に結合し、前記一定電圧を前記制御回路から前記第1の電極に供給する第1のステップと、
前記第1のステップの後に、前記スイッチを前記第2の切替状態にし、前記コンデンサを前記第2の信号経路から隔離し、前記測定回路で前記電気光学ディスプレイの前記キックバック電圧を測定する第2のステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記方法の前記第2のステップは、前記デバイスの所定の使用時間数の後に生じる、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記方法の前記第2のステップは、前の測定からの所定の経過時間期間の後に生じる、請求項13に記載の方法。
