Claims (5)
- 主燃焼室の頂面中央部に、連通孔を介して主燃焼室内に連通しかつ点火栓と副燃料噴射弁とを有する副室が形成されており、点火栓により副室内の混合気を燃焼させたときに連通孔から噴出するジェット火炎によって主燃焼室内の混合気を燃焼させるようにした内燃機関の制御装置において、主燃焼室内においてシリンダ軸線と直交する軸線回りに旋回するタンブル流を発生させるために吸気ポート内における吸入空気流の流通経路を制御可能なタンブル流制御弁を具備しており、該副室が、副室の主燃焼室側の端部周辺部から主燃焼室の周辺部に向けて放射状に延びかつタンブル流の流通路内に開口する複数の連通孔を具備しており、該副室の主燃焼室側の端部周辺部のうちでタンブル流が連通孔から流入する側のタンブル流流入周辺部領域に、該副燃料噴射弁の噴口が指向されており、タンブル流制御弁により主燃焼室内にタンブル流が発生せしめられているときに、該副燃料噴射弁から副室の該タンブル流流入周辺部領域に向けて副燃料が噴射される内燃機関の制御装置。
- 該副燃料噴射弁の全ての噴口が、副室の該タンブル流流入周辺部領域に指向されている請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 該副燃料噴射弁の噴口のうちで噴射量が最大となる噴口が、副室の該タンブル流流入周辺部領域に指向されている請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- タンブル流制御弁が全開せしめられているときには、該副燃料噴射弁からの燃料噴射が停止される請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- タンブル流制御弁により主燃焼室内にタンブル流が発生せしめられているときに、主燃焼室および副室内における平均空燃比が大きくされるほど副燃料の噴射量が増大され、副燃料の噴射圧が低下せしめられる請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
