Description
Claims (6)
- 内燃エンジン(2)の可変カムシャフト(1)を備えた弁駆動システム(11)であって、
上記可変カムシャフト(1)は、
外軸(3)、および該外軸(3)と同軸に設けられかつ一定の角度範囲にわたって回転可能な内軸(4)と、
上記内軸(4)に回転固定態様で連結された少なくとも1つの第1カム(5)、および、該第1カム(5)に隣接して設けられかつ上記外軸(3)に回転固定態様で連結された第2カム(6)と、を備え、
上記第1および第2カム(5,6)は、同じ関連する弁に作用し、
上記第1カム(5)の上記第2カム(6)に対する回転は、弁開放時間(t)の拡大に影響しており、
上記第1および第2カム(5,6)は、最大リフト量の領域に同一の円弧部(8,9)を有し、
上記第1および第2カム(5,6)は、上記内軸(4)が上記外軸(3)に対して最大範囲まで回転したときでも、上記第1カム(5)の上記円弧部(8)が上記第2カム(6)の上記円弧部(9)に途切れることなく連続する態様で設けられており、
上記内軸(4)が上記外軸(3)に対して最大範囲まで回転したときに、一方の上記円弧部(8,9)における他方の上記円弧部(9,8)と重ならない部分の角度範囲が、両方の上記円弧部(8,9)同士が重なる部分の角度範囲よりも大きく、
上記第1および第2カム(5,6)に機能的に連結されたカムフォロワ(7)またはタペットが設けられ、該カムフォロワ(7)または該タペットは二段円頂外形(10’)を有し、
上記二段円頂外形(10’)は、上記第1カム(5)に接触する円頂外形と、上記第2カム(6)に接触する円頂外形と、が前記外軸(3)の軸方向に沿って連続するように構成される
ことを特徴とする弁駆動システム。 - 請求項1において、
上記可変カムシャフト(1)は、該可変カムシャフト(1)により制御される弁が8〜25°のクランクシャフト角度に対応する上記弁開放時間(t)の拡大を実現するように設けられている
ことを特徴とする弁駆動システム。 - 請求項1または2において、
上記第1カム(5)の上記円弧部(8)が、2〜12.5°の角度範囲において一定半径を有し、
上記第2カム(6)の上記円弧部(9)が、2〜12.5°の角度範囲において一定半径を有している
ことを特徴とする弁駆動システム。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項において、
上記第1および第2カム(5,6)が、同一である
ことを特徴とする弁駆動システム。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項において、
上記第1および第2カム(5,6)が、円頂外形(10)を有している
ことを特徴とする弁駆動システム。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の弁駆動システム(11)を備えた内燃エンジン(2)であって、
上記内燃エンジン(2)は、アトキンソンサイクルエンジンとして構成されている
ことを特徴とする内燃エンジン。
