Description
The present invention relates to a film connected body, a film winding body, a reel body, and a method for manufacturing a film connected body.
For example, as disclosed in
By the way, the need for narrowing the width of the adhesive film is increasing year by year. For example,
The anisotropic conductive film is used, for example, to bond components arranged in the outer frame (so-called frame) of various displays. There are various displays in which an anisotropic conductive film is used. For example, the anisotropic conductive film is used not only for various stationary displays but also for portable displays (for example, displays for smartphones, mobile phones, wearable devices, etc.). The outer frame of these displays is becoming smaller year by year mainly because of increasing the proportion of the display area. Therefore, the need for narrowing the width of the anisotropic conductive film is increasing year by year.
However, when the width of the adhesive film becomes narrow, there is a problem that the connection strength between the adhesive film and the lead film tends to be weakened. If the connection strength between the connection film and the lead film is weakened, the adhesive film is easily separated from the lead film when tension is applied to the adhesive film. Examples of the case where tension is applied to the adhesive film include a case where the adhesive film is pulled out from the reel body. If the adhesive film in the reel body comes off the lead film, the reel body becomes unusable. This is because if the adhesive film comes off the lead film, the adhesive film cannot be pulled out from the reel body. Specifically, even if the adhesive film is to be pulled out from the reel body, the reel body only idles and the adhesive film is not pulled out from the reel body. Therefore, all the adhesive film remaining on the reel body is wasted.
The more adhesive film remains on the reel body, the more tension is applied to the adhesive film when the adhesive film is pulled out. Therefore, the more adhesive film remains on the reel body, the easier it is for the adhesive film to come off the lead film. That is, if the width of the adhesive film becomes narrow, there is a high possibility that a large amount of the adhesive film will be wasted. In particular, in recent years, there is a need for lengthening the adhesive film. This is to reduce the number of times the reel body is replaced in the operation using the reel body. Therefore, a large amount of adhesive film is often wound around the reel body.
Further, in the operation using the reel body, there are cases where the drawing step of pulling out the adhesive film from the reel body and various subsequent steps are performed in one line. If the adhesive film comes off the lead film during operation of this line, it is necessary to temporarily stop the drawing process and replace the reel body. This is because, as described above, if the adhesive film in the reel body comes off the lead film, the reel body cannot be used. Then, in this line, if the drawing process is stopped, all subsequent processes that follow are also stopped. Therefore, the operation of the line is significantly delayed. Then, as described above, when the width of the adhesive film is narrowed, the adhesive film is easily detached from the lead film when tension is applied to the adhesive film. Therefore, when the width of the adhesive film becomes narrow, there is a high possibility that the operation of the line will be delayed.
Further, in the above line, there are cases where a step of temporarily stopping the rotation of the reel body after pulling out the adhesive film to a predetermined length, a step of cutting out the adhesive film, and a step of restarting the rotation of the reel body are performed. Large tension is applied to the adhesive film during these steps. Therefore, when the width of the adhesive film becomes narrow, the adhesive film is likely to come off from the lead film even during these steps. Further, in the line where the driving force is applied to the winding core of the reel body, particularly large tension is applied to the adhesive film when the reel body starts and stops rotating. Therefore, in the line where the driving force is applied to the winding core of the reel body, the adhesive film is particularly likely to come off from the lead film. In addition, since the line speed of anisotropic connection is directly connected to productivity, it is required to increase this. Therefore, the reel body tends to have a sharp tension variation.
As described above, when the width of the adhesive film is narrowed, the adhesive film is easily separated from the lead film. Then, when the adhesive film comes off from the lead film, there arises a problem that all the adhesive film remaining on the reel body is wasted, and the operation using the reel body is significantly delayed. Therefore, a technique for improving the strength of the adhesive film and the lead film has been earnestly desired.
For example, Patent Document 3 discloses a so-called ultrasonic connection technique as a technique for connecting a plurality of members. In this technique, ultrasonic vibration is applied to these members while pressing one member against the other member.
However, this technique has not been able to sufficiently increase the connection strength between the adhesive film and the lead film. Furthermore, in this technique, irregularities are formed in the connection portion between the adhesive film and the lead film. Therefore, when the adhesive film is wound around the winding core, this unevenness is transferred to the adhesive film. Specifically, in the adhesive film, the unevenness of the connection portion is transferred to the portion wound around the connection portion between the adhesive film and the lead film. As a result, the quality of the adhesive film deteriorates. For example, when the adhesive film is an anisotropic conductive film, the anisotropy of the anisotropic conductive film may deteriorate. Further, it is almost impossible to realize the connection between the adhesive film having a width of less than 1 mm and the lead film by ultrasonic vibration with the current technology. Furthermore, in this technique, it is necessary to separately prepare an ultrasonic oscillator or the like.
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to prevent the adhesive film from coming off from the lead film even when the width of the adhesive film becomes narrow. It is an object of the present invention to provide a new and improved reel body and a coupling body used for the reel body.
In order to solve the above problems, according to an aspect of the present invention, a support film, a lead film adjacent to an end portion in the length direction of the support film, and connected to a peripheral surface of a reel core, a support. As described above, according to the present invention, since the supporting film and the lead film can be connected by the cured layer and the connecting tape, even when the width of the adhesive film is narrowed, the adhesive film is used as the lead film. <1.

支持フィルム11を構成する材料としては、例えば、PET(Poly Ethylene Terephthalate)、OPP(Oriented Polypropylene)、PMP(Poly−4−methylpentene−1)、PTFE(Polytetrafluoroethylene)等にシリコーン等の剥離剤を塗布したものが挙げられる。

The acrylic polymerizable compound is a monomer, an oligomer, or a prepolymer having one or more acrylic groups in the molecule. Examples of the acrylic polymerizable compound include methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, isopropyl acrylate, isobutyl acrylate, epoxy acrylate, ethylene glycol diacrylate, diethylene glycol diacrylate, trimethylol propane triacrylate, dimethylol tricyclodecane diacrylate, and tetramethylene glycol. In the present embodiment, any one of the polymerizable compounds listed above may be used, or two or more thereof may be used in any combination.
The thermosetting initiator is a material that absorbs heat and is activated to start the polymerization of the polymerizable compound. Examples of the thermosetting initiator include a thermal anion or thermal cation type curing initiator that cures an epoxy polymerizable compound and a thermal radical type curing initiator that cures an acrylic polymerizable compound. In the present embodiment, an appropriate thermosetting initiator may be selected depending on the polymerizable compound, but the cured

The film forming resin is added to the anisotropic conductive material when it is desired to form the anisotropic conductive material into a film shape. The type of film-forming resin is not particularly limited as long as it satisfies the characteristics described below. As the film forming resin, various resins such as epoxy resin, phenoxy resin, polyester urethane resin, polyester resin, polyurethane resin, acrylic resin, polyimide resin, butyral resin can be used. Further, in the present embodiment, any one of these film-forming resins may be used alone, or two or more of them may be used in any combination. The film forming resin is preferably a phenoxy resin from the viewpoint of improving the film forming property and the adhesion reliability.
Examples of the additive that can be added to the anisotropic conductive material include a silane coupling agent, an inorganic filler, a colorant, an antioxidant, and a rust preventive agent. When these silane coupling agents are added to the anisotropic conductive material, the adhesiveness to an inorganic substrate such as a glass substrate can be improved.
The inorganic filler is an additive for adjusting the fluidity and film strength of the anisotropic conductive material, especially the minimum melt viscosity. The type of inorganic filler is also not particularly limited. Examples of the inorganic filler include silica, talc, titanium oxide, calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide and the like.

Here, the type of the connecting
The length of the
The ratio L1: L2 between the length L1 of the portion bonded to the
Further, the thickness of the connecting
In FIG. 1, the end of the
The
From the viewpoint of maintaining the connection strength between the
Since the cured
The curing degree (reaction rate) of the cured
Further, since the cured
<1. Width of film assembly>
The width of the film connected

<3. Connection strength measurement method>
Next, a method of measuring the connection strength will be described with reference to FIG. First, the
<4. Reel configuration>
Next, the configuration of the
The winding
Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the

<5. Manufacturing method of film assembly>
Next, a method for manufacturing the film linked
Next, while conveying the original fabric connected
As a result, the adhesive layer

(Measurement of connection strength)
Then, the connection strength was measured by the above-mentioned measuring method. Tensilon manufactured by A & D Company was used as the tensile tester. The connection strength was measured 5 times, and the average value of the measurement results was used as the connection strength. As a result, the connection strength was 5.1N.

According to Examples 1 to 7, a high connection strength and a tape detachment occurrence rate of 0 could be achieved. On the other hand, in the comparative example, the connection strength was weak and the tape detachment rate was high. Therefore, in Examples 1 to 7, it was possible to prevent the adhesive film from coming off from the lead film even when the width of the adhesive film was narrowed. Especially, when L4 was 300 to 400 mm, the connection strength was further increased. Therefore, L4 is preferably 300 to 400 mm. However, in Example 6, since wrinkles were formed in the connecting
