Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a method for producing an antifogging coating composition liquid containing a hydrolyzed condensate and / or a hydrolyzed mixture of a betaine-based silicon compound which can be produced at a low cost and has a large antifog effect.
The present inventors have found an antifogging coating composition comprising a betaine-based silicon compound as an antifogging coating agent that can be applied to inorganic and organic substrates, and have applied for a patent (Patent Document 1).
However, in order to obtain the anti-fogging coating composition, first, when producing a betaine-based silicon compound, a solvent used (for example, ethyl alcohol, etc.) to prevent hydrolysis of the alkoxy group of the target betaine-based silicon compound. Is required to be dehydrated, and the reaction atmosphere must be free of water. Further, when it is necessary to remove the generated salt by filtration, in order to prevent hydrolysis of the alkoxy group of the betaine silicon compound of the product, it is necessary to keep the filtration atmosphere free of water, and the above operation is complicated. Is.
As a result, there is a problem that it becomes complicated to prepare the antifogging coating composition liquid, resulting in an increase in cost.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned prior art, does not require dehydration of the solvent at all, does not need to control the humidity of the atmosphere during the reaction and the post-treatment at all, simple and anti-fog coating composition liquid It aims at providing the manufacturing method for obtaining.
The present inventor has conducted intensive studies while paying attention to the problems of the prior art as described above, and as a result, betaine was added to a hydrolyzate and / or a hydrolyzed condensate of a dialkylaminosilicon compound which is a raw material of a betaine-based silicon compound. The present inventors have found that the above problems can be solved by causing an agent to act, and have reached the present invention.

As shown in Comparative Examples, conventionally, a hydrolyzate and / or a hydrolyzed condensate was produced by synthesizing and isolating a betaine-based silicon compound and then hydrolyzing it, but in the production method of the present invention, Since the hydrolyzate and / or hydrolyzed condensate is betaine, it is not necessary to control the water content of the reaction solvent or the reaction atmosphere in the manufacturing process, and complicated steps such as dehydration and filtration of the solvent used are required. It is a useful manufacturing method when a large amount of antifogging coating liquid is efficiently manufactured, because it is simple and easy to manufacture in a short manufacturing process.
Further, as is clear from Table 1, the betaine-based silicon compound obtained by the production method of the present invention has the same antifogging property as the betaine-based silicon compound obtained by the conventional production method.
The betaine-based silicon compound obtained by the production method of the present invention has a large antifogging effect and can be produced in large quantities at low cost, so that the antifogging coating composition liquid derived from the betaine-based silicon compound obtained by the production method of the present invention is For example, it is useful for coating the surface of a substrate such as a glass plate, a medical material, a biocompatible material, a cosmetic material, an optical material, a resin film or a resin sheet to impart hydrophilicity and antifogging property.
