Description
The present invention is an active energy ray-curable ink composition in which the cured coating film has excellent rub resistance and gloss, and has excellent printability by suppressing swelling of a blanket of a printing press, and The present invention relates to an active energy ray-curable ink composition having excellent post-processing suitability, and a printed matter using the same.
In recent years, the demand for active energy ray-curable inks has been expanding in place of oil-based inks, from the viewpoint of suitability for workability such as quick drying and the ability to shift to post-processing immediately after printing. Are required to have abrasion resistance and gloss of the ink coating film. Furthermore, since active energy ray-curable inks contain a compound having a lower molecular weight than oil-based inks, they have the problem of swelling the blanket of the printing press and deteriorating print quality, and have the same printability as oil-based inks. Is required.
As a method for obtaining high friction resistance, for example, Patent Document 1 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2003-221536) discloses a heat-set type lithographic plate containing a wax which is solid at ordinary temperature and whose melting point is lower than the maximum paper surface temperature in the drying step. An offset ink composition is disclosed.
In addition, for example, Patent Document 2 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2015-196765) contains epoxy acrylate, a 2- to 4-functional (meth) acrylate monomer, an initiator, and a dimethylsilicon compound having a polyoxyalkylene group. An active energy ray-curable coating varnish is disclosed.
In addition, for example, Patent Document 3 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2014-193978) discloses an active energy ray-curable type having a number average molecular weight of 320 or more and 1,000 or less and containing paraffin or polyolefin which is a liquid at 25 ° C. A composition is disclosed.
Further, for example, Patent Document 4 (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2006-104831) discloses an active energy containing 0.1 to 5% by weight of a hydrocarbon wax having a viscosity of 300 to 4,000 mPa · S at 25 ° C. A line-curable composition is disclosed.
However, as described in Patent Document 1, the use of a wax that is solid at room temperature improves the rub resistance of the coating film to some extent but is not sufficient, and the amount added is further increased to further improve the rub resistance. In addition, the gloss of the coating film is reduced, and during printing, solid wax accumulates on rolls, plates, and blankets of a printing press to cause printing problems. Further, as described in Patent Document 2, use of a dimethylsilicon compound can provide high friction resistance, but has a problem in that post-processing suitability such as foil stamping performed after printing is reduced. Further, as in Patent Document 3, the use of liquid paraffin or polyolefin having a number average molecular weight of 320 or more and 1,000 or less improves the abrasion resistance of the coating film, but swells the blanket of the printing press. However, there is a problem that print quality is deteriorated. Similarly, Patent Literature 4 also has a problem in that the blanket of the printing press swells and the print quality deteriorates.
The object of the present invention is to provide a cured coating film having excellent rub resistance and gloss, having excellent printability by suppressing swelling of a blanket of a printing press, and having an excellent active energy also in post-processing suitability. An object of the present invention is to provide a line-curable ink composition and a printed material using the same.
The present inventors have conducted intensive studies to solve the above problems, and as a result, have found that the above problems can be solved by the active energy ray-curable ink composition shown below and printed matter using the same, and the present invention It was completed.

LogP値は、J.Chem.Inf.Comput. Here, the “LogP value” in the present specification is a logarithmic value of a partition coefficient of 1-octanol / water, and is a numerical value generally used for relative evaluation of hydrophilicity / hydrophobicity of an organic compound. LogP values are described in Chem. Inf. Comput. Sci. 1987, 27, 21-35. The calculation can be performed using ChemDraw, which is commercially available software.
In addition, the average LogP value in the present invention can be obtained as in the following equation (1).
Average LogP value = (LogP value of polymerizable compound A × content rate of polymerizable compound A in total amount of polymerizable compound + LogP value of polymerizable compound B × content rate of polymerizable compound B in total amount of polymerizable compound +. ·· + Log P value of polymerizable compound n × content of polymerizable compound n in total amount of polymerizable compound) (1)
Formula (1) is a formula on the assumption that the ink contains n kinds of polymerizable compounds, and n is an integer of 1 or more. "Content rate" represents mass% based on the total mass of the polymerizable compound.
Further, from the viewpoint of curability, it is preferable to mix the polymerizable compound so that the average polymerizable unsaturated bond equivalent of the ink satisfies 60 to 80. When the average polymerizable unsaturated bond equivalent is at least the lower limit described above, the cured coating film will have excellent gloss. Further, when the average polymerizable unsaturated bond equivalent is not more than the above upper limit, the curability becomes excellent.
In addition, the average polymerizable unsaturated double bond equivalent of the ink in the invention can be determined as follows. First, for each polymerizable compound contained in the ink, the equivalent of a polymerizable unsaturated double bond contained in the molecule of the polymerizable compound is determined by the following formula (2).
Equivalent of polymerizable unsaturated double bond of polymerizable compound = molecular weight of polymerizable compound / number of polymerizable unsaturated bonds contained in molecule of polymerizable compound (2)
Next, the average polymerizable unsaturated double bond equivalent of the ink is determined by the following equation (3).
Average polymerizable unsaturated double bond equivalent of ink = (Polymerizable unsaturated double bond equivalent of polymerizable compound A × content of polymerizable compound A in ink + polymerizable unsaturated double bond of polymerizable compound B) (Equivalent × content of polymerizable compound B in ink + ... + polymerizable unsaturated double bond equivalent of polymerizable compound n × content of polymerizable compound n in ink) (3)
Formula (3) is a formula assuming that the ink contains n kinds of polymerizable compounds, and n is an integer of 1 or more. "Content rate" represents% by mass based on the total mass of the ink composition.
Especially, it is preferable to contain a trifunctional to hexafunctional (meth) acrylate monomer as a polymerizable compound from the viewpoint of curability.
The total content of the 3 to 6-functional (meth) acrylate monomers is preferably 70% by mass or more, more preferably 80% by mass or more, and preferably 90% by mass, based on the total mass of the polymerizable compound. % Is particularly preferable.
When a monofunctional (meth) acrylate monomer is contained, the content is preferably 10% by mass or less, and more preferably 5% by mass or less, based on the total mass of the active energy ray-curable ink from the viewpoint of curability. preferable.
Specifically, ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate (LogP value: 4.22, polymerizable unsaturated double bond equivalent: 116.5) is added to the total mass of trifunctional to hexafunctional (meth) acrylate monomer. It is preferable to contain 15 to 80% by mass because the gloss of the cured coating film is excellent, and it is more preferable to contain 20 to 70% by mass.
Further, EO-modified (3) trimethylolpropane triacrylate (LogP value: 3.20, polymerizable unsaturated double bond equivalent: 142.7), and dipentaerythritol hexaacrylate (LogP value: 3.06, polymerization) It is preferable that one or more selected from the group consisting of the unsaturated double bond equivalents: 96.3) are contained in a range where the average LogP value is 3.4 or more. The use of EO-modified (3) trimethylolpropane triacrylate makes it easy to adjust the ink viscosity, and the use of dipentaerythritol hexaacrylate makes the curability excellent.
