Description
図1は、本発明の一実施形態による表示装置を示す断面図である。
次に、本実施形態の変形例(その1)による表示装置について図2を用いて説明する。図2は、本変形例による表示装置を示す断面図である。図1に示す表示装置においては、白色発光構造物180がカラーフィルタ170B,170R,170Gを有する下部基板110上に位置する場合を例に説明したが、本変形例による表示装置では、図2に示すように、下部基板110に向いている上部基板210の表面上に位置する白色発光構造物220が備えられている。図2に示すように、本変形例による表示装置は、白色発光構造物220が上部基板210と直接接触する白色発光層用下部電極221、白色発光層用下部電極221上に順に積層される白色発光層222及び白色発光層用上部電極223を備えている。図2に示すように、ピクセル保護膜190と白色発光構造物220との間に接着層300が位置していてもよい。本変形例による表示装置では、白色発光構造物220の形成工程における発光構造物140B,140R,140G及びカラーフィルタ170B,170R,170Gの損傷を防止することができるとともに、外光反射による鮮明度の低下を効果的に防止することができる。また、図2に示すように、白色発光構造物220上に位置するピクセル保護膜230を更に備えていてもよい。
次に、本実施形態の変形例(その2)による表示装置について図3を用いて説明する。図3は、本変形例による表示装置を示す断面図である。図3に示すように、下部基板110に向いている上部基板210の表面上に順に積層された白色発光構造物220及びカラーフィルタ250B,250R,250Gを備えるようにしてもよい。図3に示すように、青色カラーフィルタ250B、赤色カラーフィルタ250R、及び、緑色カラーフィルタ250Gの間に位置するブラックマトリックス240が更に備えられていてもよい。図3に示すように、カラーフィルタ250B,250R,250Gの形成工程における白色発光構造物220の損傷を防止するために、白色発光構造物220とカラーフィルタ250B,250R,250Gとの間に位置する上部保護膜260が更に備えられていてもよい。本変形例による表示装置によれば、白色発光構造物220及びカラーフィルタ250B,250R,250Gの形成工程における発光構造物140B,140R,140Gの損傷を防止することができるとともに、白色発光層222を通過した光の反射を効果的に防止することができる。
次に、本実施形態の変形例(その3)による表示装置について図4を用いて説明する。図4は、本変形例による表示装置を示す断面図である。図1に示す表示装置では、下部基板110の各サブピクセル領域BSP,RSP,GSP上にカラーフィルタ170B,170R,170Gが位置する場合を例に説明したが、本変形例では、図4に示すように、カラーフィルタ170B,170R,170Gが用いられていない。図4に示すように、各サブピクセル領域BSP,RSP,GSP上に位置する発光構造物140B,140R,140Gが、互いに異なる色が得られる発光層142B,142R,142Gを備えるようにしてもよい。例えば、他の実施形態による表示装置では、青色発光構造物140Bが青色発光層142Bを有し、赤色発光構造物140Rが赤色発光層142Rを有し、緑色発光構造物140Gが緑色発光層142Gを有することができる。図4に示すように、発光構造物140B,140R,140Gの発光層142B,142R,142Gが互いに分離されてもよい。本変形例による表示装置によれば、発光構造物140B,140R,140Gの発光層142B,142R,142Gによって、白色発光層182を通過した光の反射を防止することができ、外光反射を効率的に防止することができる。
次に、本実施形態の変形例(その4)について図5を用いて説明する。図5は、本変形例による表示装置を示す断面図である。図5に示すように、各サブピクセル領域BSP,RSP,GSP上に位置する発光構造物140B,140R,140Gが、互いに異なる色が得られる発光層142B,142R,142Gを備えており、下部基板110に向いている上部基板210の表面上に白色発光構造物220が位置していてもよい。本変形例による表示装置によれば、白色発光層222を通過した光の反射を効果的に防止することができる。

Claims (3)
- 第1下部電極、第1発光層、及び、第1上部電極が順に積層された第1発光構造物と、
前記第1下部電極と離隔された第2下部電極、前記第1発光層とは異なる色が得られる第2発光層、及び、第2上部電極が順に積層された第2発光構造物と、
前記第1発光構造物上及び前記第2発光構造物上に位置する白色発光層と、
前記白色発光層上に位置する白色発光層用電極と、
上部基板と、
前記白色発光構造物上に位置するピクセル保護膜と、
前記上部基板を前記ピクセル保護膜に接着する接着層と
を備え、
前記白色発光層は前記第1発光構造物の前記第1上部電極および前記第2発光構造物の前記第2上部電極と接触し、それにより、前記第1および第2上部電極が前記白色発光構造物の白色発光層として機能することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記第1上部電極、前記第2上部電極、及び、前記白色発光層用電極は、透明な物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記白色発光層用電極は、前記第1上部電極と前記第2上部電極のいずれとも異なる物質を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
