- 第1光学調整体と、
第2光学調整体と、
前記第1光学調整体と前記第2光学調整体との間に設けられた位相変調層とを備え、
前記第1光学調整体は、
光透過性を有する第1電極と、
前記第1電極と電気的に対となり、光透過性を有する第1対電極と、
前記第1電極と前記第1対電極との間に配置され、液晶を含む第1屈折率調整層であって、電界により屈折率が変化することで、透明状態と入射光を配光する状態とが変化可能であり、かつ、屈折率異方性を有する第1屈折率調整層と、
前記第1屈折率調整層の表面を凹凸にする第1凹凸層と、を備え、
前記第2光学調整体は、
光透過性を有する第2電極と、
前記第2電極と電気的に対となり、光透過性を有する第2対電極と、
前記第2電極と前記第2対電極との間に配置され、液晶を含む第2屈折率調整層であって、電界により屈折率が変化することで、透明状態と入射光を配光する状態とが変化可能であり、かつ、屈折率異方性を有する第2屈折率調整層と、
前記第2屈折率調整層の表面を凹凸にする第2凹凸層と、を備え、
前記第1凹凸層及び前記第2凹凸層の各々の凸部は、断面形状が三角形又は台形であり、かつ、厚み方向に対して傾斜した側面を有し、
前記第1凹凸層の複数の凸部若しくは複数の凹部、又は、前記第2凹凸層の複数の凸部若しくは複数の凹部は、不規則に配置されており、
前記第1光学調整体と前記第2光学調整体とは、光学デバイスの厚み方向に配置されている、
光学デバイス。 - 前記位相変調層は、波長λの入射光の位相を(1/2)λ変える、
請求項1に記載の光学デバイス。 - 前記第1凹凸層と前記第2凹凸層とは、同じ構造を有する、
