Description
まず、図1〜図3を参照して第1の実施形態について説明する。
第1の実施形態に係るワイヤハーネス1は、絶縁被覆材13が皮剥ぎされ導線端部12aが露出した複数の被覆電線11と、各被覆電線11の端部に固定された接続端子15と、防水シールドを要する各被覆電線11の端部の所定領域上に熱収縮した状態で被せられた熱収縮チューブ30と、コネクタ19と、を備えている。
まず、コネクタ19の保持筒部24の筒孔25内に、熱収縮チューブ30を挿入しておく。次いで、接続端子15が端部に設けられた被覆電線11を、コネクタ19の保持筒部24に挿通し、接続部16がロック片22によりロックされるまで、接続部16を端子挿入孔20に押し込む。その後、保持筒部24の外部からドライヤー等で熱を加え、熱収縮チューブ30を径方向に熱収縮させて被覆電線11の端部の所定の防水シールド領域に被せるようにする。この熱収縮時に、熱収縮チューブ30の内面に積層されていた熱溶融性の接着剤32は、溶けて絶縁被覆材の内部空間を占めて固化し止水するようになっている。以上で組立が完了する。
第1の実施形態に係るワイヤハーネス1では、熱収縮する前の熱収縮チューブ30をコネクタ側の保持筒部24の筒孔25に保持した状態で、被覆電線11の端部に固定された接続端子15を熱収縮チューブ30の中に挿通して、接続端子15の接続部16をコネクタ19の端子挿入孔20に脱出不能に挿入することができ、その後に、保持筒部24の外方から加熱することにより、熱収縮チューブ30を熱収縮させて導線端部12aから接続端子15の絶縁被覆材13の固定部までを含む範囲に被せることができる。すなわち、接続端子15の接続部16を端子挿入孔20に挿入する作業を行うと、被覆電線11を熱収縮チューブ30に通す従来の作業も同時に行っていることになる。これにより、被覆電線11を熱収縮チューブ30に通す従来の作業を別途行う必要がないので、組立作業性が向上する。
次に、第2の実施形態について説明する。
図4は、本発明の第2の実施形態に係り、熱収縮する前の熱収縮チューブ30を保持筒部44に保持した状態を示している。第2の実施形態は、保持筒部44の断面形状が第1の実施形態と相違しているのみであり、その他の構成要素については、第1の実施の形態と同一の符号を付して、構成、作用、効果の説明を省略する。

Claims (1)
- 絶縁被覆材が皮剥ぎされ導線端部が露出した複数の被覆電線と、
接続部と第1のバレル部と第2のバレル部とを有し、前記第1のバレル部で前記導線端部を固定し、前記第2のバレル部で前記絶縁被覆材の皮剥ぎ後の端部を固定した接続端子と、
内面に熱溶融性を有する接着剤が積層された熱収縮チューブであって、前記導線端部から前記接続端子の前記絶縁被覆材の固定部までを含む範囲に熱収縮した状態に被せられた複数の熱収縮チューブと、
各端子挿入孔に前記接続端子の接続部のみを脱出不能に収容するコネクタと、
を備え、前記接着剤が、前記熱収縮時に溶けて前記絶縁被覆材の内部空間を占めて固化し止水するようになっているワイヤハーネスであって、
前記コネクタは、前記接続端子との接続側端面が前記熱収縮した熱収縮チューブの前記第1のバレル部寄りの端に一致しており、かつ、前記接続側端面より一体に延設され、熱収縮する前の前記熱収縮チューブと同一の長さの前記熱収縮チューブを保持する筒孔を有し、前記熱収縮した熱収縮チューブを覆う保持筒部を備えたことを特徴とするワイヤハーネス。
