Description
本発明の態様によれば、アルカリ性洗浄剤は、ホスフィノコハク酸(PSO)誘導体を含んでいる。1つの態様では、アルカリ性洗浄剤は、ホスフィノコハク酸(PSO)誘導体および有機アルカリ性源の供給源を含む、からなる、および/または、から本質的になる。また、本組成物は、水、界面活性剤および/または他のポリマー、およびそれらのいずれかの組み合わせを含むことができる。
洗浄剤組成物には、ホスフィノコハク酸(PSO)誘導体を用いる。また、PSO誘導体は、ホスホン酸系組成物とも表すことができる。本発明の1つの態様では、PSO誘導体は、モノ−、ビス−およびオリゴマーホスフィノコハク酸付加物およびホスホノコハク酸(PSA)付加物の組み合わせである。
本発明の態様によれば、洗浄剤組成物は、アルカリ性源を含んでいる。例示的なアルカリ性源としては、アルカリ金属炭酸塩および/またはアルカリ金属水酸化物が挙げられる。
洗浄剤組成物の成分は、種々の付加的な機能性原料と組み合わせることができる。幾つかの態様では、PSO誘導体およびアルカリ性源を含む洗浄剤組成物は、例えば、付加的な機能性材料がその中に少ししか、または全く配分されない態様では、洗浄剤組成物の全質量の内で、大きな量を、または更には実質的に全てを構成することができる。それらの態様では、洗浄剤組成物の上記で与えられた成分濃度範囲は、洗浄剤組成物中のそれらの同じ成分の範囲を表している。
幾つかの例では、本発明の組成物は、界面活性剤を含んでいる。本発明の組成物での使用にために好適な界面活性剤としては、ノニオン性界面活性剤、アニオン性界面活性剤、カチオン性界面活性剤、両性界面活性剤および/または両性イオン性界面活性剤が挙げられるが、それらには限定されない。
本発明の組成物での使用に好適な、好適なノニオン性界面活性剤としては、アルコキシル化界面活性剤が挙げられる。好適なアルコキシル化界面活性剤としては、EO/PO共重合体、キャップされたEO/PO共重合体、アルコールアルコキシレート、キャップされたアルコールアルコキシレート、それらの混合物などが挙げられる。溶媒としての使用に好適なアルコキシル化界面活性剤としては、EO/POブロック共重合体、例えば、Pluronic(商標)、およびリバース型Pluronic(商標)界面活性剤;アルコールアルコキシレート;キャップされたアルコールアルコキシレート;それらの混合物などが挙げられる。
半極性の種類のノニオン性界面活性剤は、本発明の組成物に有用なノニオン性界面活性剤の他の種類である。半極性のノニオン性界面活性剤としては、アミンオキシド、ホスフィンオキシド、スルホキシドおよびそれらのアルコキシル化誘導体が挙げられる。
本発明の組成物での使用に好適なアニオン性のスルフェート界面活性剤としては、アルキルエーテルスルフェート、アルキルスルフェート、直鎖および分岐の第1級と第2級アルキルスルフェート、アルキルエトキシスルフェート、脂肪族オレイルグリセロールスルフェート、アルキルフェノールエチレンオキシドエーテルスルフェート、C5−C17アシル−N−(C1−C4アルキル)および−N−(C1−C2ヒドロキシアルキル)グルカミンスルフェート、ならびにアルキルポリサッカリドのスルフェート、例えば、アルキルポリグルコシドのスルフェートなどが挙げられる。また、アルキルスルフェート、アルキルポリ(エチレンオキシ)エーテルスルフェートおよび芳香族ポリ(エチレンオキシ)スルフェート、例えば、エチレンオキシドおよびノニルフェノールのスルフェートもしくは縮合生成物(通常は、分子当たりに1〜6個のオキシエチレン基を有している)も挙げられる。
両性(amphoteric)または両性(ampholytic)界面活性剤は、塩基性および酸性の親水性基ならびに有機疎水性基の両方を含んでいる。それらのイオン性の構成要素は、他の種類の界面活性剤についてここで説明したアニオン性またはカチオン性基のいずれかであることができる。塩基性窒素(basic nitrogen)および酸性カルボキシレート基は、塩基性および酸性の親水性基として用いられる典型的な官能基である。少数の界面活性剤において、スルホネート、スルフェート、ホスホネートまたはホスフェートは、負の電荷を与える。
界面活性物質は、その分子のヒドロトロープ部分の電荷が正である場合には、カチオン性であると分類される。ヒドロトロープが、pHが中性近傍もしくはそれより低くされない限り、電荷を有しないが、しかしながらそれが次いでカチオン性になる界面活性剤(例えば、アルキルアミン)もまた、この群に含まれる。理論上は、カチオン性界面活性剤は、「オニウム」構造、RnX+Y−を含む元素のいずれかの組み合わせから合成することができ、そして窒素(アンモニウム)以外、例えば、リン(ホスホニウム)およびイオウ(スルホニウム)の化合物を含むことができる。実際には、カチオン性界面活性剤の分野は、窒素含有化合物が支配的であり、それはおそらくは、窒素を含む陽イオンは合成経路が単純かつ直接的であり、そして製品の高い収率を与え、それがそれらを高価でないものにするためである。
両性イオン性界面活性剤は、両性イオン(amphoteric)界面活性剤の小分類であると考えることができ、そしてアニオン性の電荷を含むことができる。両性イオン性界面活性剤は、第2級および第3級アミンの誘導体、ヘテロ環式第2級および第3級アミンの誘導体、または第4級アンモニウム、第4級ホスニウムもしくは第3級スルホニウム化合物の誘導体として大まかに記載することができる。典型的には、両性イオン性界面活性剤は、正に荷電した第4級アンモニウム、または場合によっては、スルホニウムもしくはホスホニウムイオン;負に荷電したカルボキシル基;ならびにアルキル基を含んでいる。両性イオンは、通常はカチオン性およびアニオン性基を含み、それらはその分子の等電領域ではほぼ同等程度にイオン化し、そしてそれが、正−負電荷中心の間に、「分子内塩」引力を生じさせることができる。そのような両性イオン性の合成界面活性剤の例としては、脂肪族第4級アンモニウム、ホスホニウム、およびスルホニウム化合物の誘導体が挙げられ、そこでは脂肪族基は、直鎖または分岐していてよく、そして脂肪族置換基の1つは、8〜13個の炭素原子を含み、そして1つは、アニオン性の水溶性化基、例えばカルボキシ、スルホネート、ホスフェート、もしくはホスホネートを含む。
本組成物は、1種もしくは2種以上のビルダー剤を含むことができ、これはキレート化剤または金属イオン封鎖剤(例えば、ビルダー)とも称され、縮合リン酸塩、アルカリ金属炭酸塩、ホスホン酸塩、アミノカルボン酸および/またはポリアクリレートが挙げられるが、それらには限定されない。一般に、キレート化剤は、天然水中に通常見られる金属イオンを、その金属イオンが、洗浄組成物の他の洗浄成分の作用を妨害することを防止するように、配位することができる(すなわち、ビルディング)分子である。キレート化剤もしくは金属イオン封鎖剤でもあることができるビルダーの添加の好ましい水準は、約0.1質量%〜約70質量%、約1質量%〜約60質量%、または約1.5質量%〜約50質量%の範囲である。固体組成物が濃縮物として提供される場合には、その濃縮物は、約1質量%〜約60質量%の範囲、約3質量%〜約50質量%の範囲、および約6質量%〜約45質量%のビルダーを含むことができる。ビルダーの更なる範囲としては、約3質量%〜約20質量%の範囲、約6質量%〜約15質量%の範囲、約25質量%〜約50質量%の範囲、約35質量%〜約45%質量%の範囲が挙げられる。
本発明による洗浄剤組成物は、固体、液体、粉末、ペースト、ゲルなどに配合することができる。
本発明の組成物は、種々の用途および方法での使用、例えばアルカリ金属水酸化物および/またはアルカリ金属炭酸塩洗浄剤が好適であるいずれかの用途に好適である。本発明の方法は、硬水スケールの表面上への堆積を防止することが必要である、アルカリ性洗浄剤を用いる方法に、特に好適である。更に、本発明の方法は、多くの表面上への硬水の堆積を制御するために、極めて好適である。本発明の方法は、処理された基材表面上への中度ないしは重度の堆積を防止して、その表面の審美的な外観を有利に向上させる。特定の態様では、硬水スケールの堆積の防止が必要な表面としては、例えば、ブラスチック、金属および/またはガラス表面が挙げられる。
硬水膜の堆積試験を、100サイクルのグラスの、ライトボックス評価を用いて行った。100サイクルの実験を、6個の10オンスのLibbyグラスを用い、Hobart AM-15器物洗浄機で、17グレインの水(硬水源)を用いて行った。最初に、全ての膜および異物をグラス表面から完全に取り除くように、洗浄サイクルを用いて、グラスを準備した。
本発明による洗浄剤組成物の洗浄有効性を、7サイクルの汚れ除去および再付着防止実験を用いて評価した。テーブル3に示した例の組成物を、商業的に入手可能な対照(Ecolab, Inc.から入手可能なSolid Power XL)と比較して評価した。
本発明は、以下の態様を含んでいる。
(1)ホスフィノコハク酸湯導体;および、
アルカリ金属水酸化物、アルカリ金属炭酸塩、アルカリ金属メタケイ酸塩、および/またはアルカリ金属ケイ酸塩を含むアルカリ性源、
を含んでなる洗浄剤組成物であって、該洗浄剤組成物の使用溶液が、約9〜12.5の範囲のpHを有する、洗浄剤組成物。
(2)水溶性ポリマーを更に含む、(1)記載の組成物。
(3)前記水溶性ポリマーが、ポリカルボン酸および疎水性に変性されたポリカルボン酸からなる群から選択される、(2)記載の組成物。
(4)ノニオン性界面活性剤を更に含む、(1)記載の組成物。
(5)前記ノニオン性界面活性剤が、エチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシド、またはエチレンオキシドとプロピレンオキシドの組み合わせを含む、(4)記載の組成物。
(6)前記ホスフィノコハク酸誘導体が、約1:1〜20:1のコハク酸のリンに対する比率を有する、少なくとも10モル%の付加物を含む、(1の組成物。
(7)前記ホスフィノコハク酸誘導体が、ホスホノコハク酸ならびにモノ−、ビス−およびオリゴマーホスフィノコハク酸付加物の組み合わせである、(1)記載の組成物。
(8)前記ホスホノコハク酸(I)ならびに、モノ−(II)、ビス−(III)およびオリゴマー(IV)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式、
を有する、(7)記載の組成物。
(9)前記使用溶液が、約100〜1500ppmのアルカリ性源、約5〜500ppmのホスフィノコハク酸誘導体を含み、かつ約9〜12.5の範囲のpHを有する、(1)記載の組成物。
(10)ホスホノコハク酸ならびにモノ−、ビス−およびオリゴマーホスフィノコハク酸付加物を含むホスフィノコハク酸誘導体;
アルカリ金属水酸化物、アルカリ金属炭酸塩、アルカリ金属メタケイ酸塩、および/またはアルカリ金属ケイ酸塩を含むアルカリ性源;ならびに、
界面活性剤、
を含んでなる洗浄剤組成物であって、該洗浄剤組成物の使用溶液が、約9〜12.5の範囲のpHを有する、洗浄剤組成物。
(11)前記界面活性剤が、エチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシド、またはエチレンオキシドとプロピレンオキシドの組み合わせを含むノニオン性界面活性剤である、(10)記載の組成物。
(12)前記ホスホノコハク酸(I)ならびに、モノ−(II)、ビス−(III)およびオリゴマー(IV)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式、
を有する、(11)記載の組成物。
(13)前記組成物が、約1〜90質量%のアルカリ性源、約0.01〜40質量%のホスフィノコハク酸誘導体、および約0.1〜40質量%のノニオン性界面活性剤を含む、(10)記載の組成物。
(14)前記洗浄剤組成物使用溶液が、約100〜1500ppmのアルカリ性源、約1〜500ppmのホスフィノコハク酸誘導体、約1〜50ppmのノニオン性界面活性剤を含み、かつ約9〜12.5のpHを有する、(13)記載の組成物。
(15)前記組成物が、約10〜80質量%のアルカリ性源、約1〜20質量%のホスフィノコハク酸誘導体、および約1〜10質量%のノニオン性界面活性剤を含む、(10)記載の組成物。
(16)前記ホスフィノコハク酸誘導体が、約1:1〜20:1のコハク酸のリンに対する比率を有する、少なくとも10モル%の付加物を含む、(10の組成物。
(17)処理される表面上への硬水スケールの堆積を防止しながら、基材表面へ、洗浄剤組成物を適用することを含んでなる、洗浄方法であって、該洗浄剤組成物は、
ホスフィノコハク酸ならびに、アルカリ金属水酸化物、アルカリ金属炭酸塩、アルカリ金属メタケイ酸塩、アルカリ金属ケイ酸塩およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選ばれたアルカリ性源を含み、かつ、該洗浄剤組成物は、該表面上での硬水スケールの形成、沈殿および/または堆積を防止するのに有効である、方法。
(18)前記表面が、プラスチック、金属および/またはガラス表面である、(17)記載の方法。
(19)前記使用溶液が、器物洗浄機の内部で生成される、(17)記載の方法。
(20)前記洗浄剤組成物の使用溶液を生成させる工程を更に含み、該洗浄剤使用溶液が、約9〜12.5の範囲のpHを有する、(17)記載の方法。
Claims (14)
- 0.01〜20質量%のホスホン酸系組成物;および、
アルカリ金属水酸化物および/またはアルカリ金属炭酸塩を含む、10〜90質量%のアルカリ性源、
を含んでなる洗浄剤組成物であって、該洗浄剤組成物の使用溶液が、9〜12.5の範囲のpHを有し、
該ホスホン酸系組成物が、ホスホノコハク酸ならびにモノ−、ビス−およびオリゴマーホスフィノコハク酸付加物の組み合わせであり、
該ホスホノコハク酸(I)ならびに、モノ−(II)およびビス−(III)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式(I)〜(III)を有し、そしてオリゴマー(IV)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式(IV)で表される構造を含む、
洗浄剤組成物であって、
該洗浄剤組成物は、ホスホン酸系組成物よりも大きな質量%で該アルカリ性源を含む、洗浄剤組成物。 - 水溶性ポリマーを更に含む、請求項1記載の組成物。
- 前記水溶性ポリマーが、ポリカルボン酸および疎水性に変性されたポリカルボン酸からなる群から選択される、請求項2記載の組成物。
- ノニオン性界面活性剤を更に含む、請求項1記載の組成物。
- 前記ノニオン性界面活性剤が、エチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシド、またはエチレンオキシドとプロピレンオキシドの組み合わせを含む、請求項4記載の組成物。
- 前記使用溶液が、100〜1500ppmのアルカリ性源、5〜500ppmのホスホン酸系組成物を含み、かつ9〜12.5の範囲のpHを有する、請求項1記載の組成物。
- ホスホノコハク酸ならびにモノ−、ビス−およびオリゴマーホスフィノコハク酸付加物を含む、0.01〜20質量%のホスホン酸系組成物;
アルカリ金属水酸化物および/またはアルカリ金属炭酸塩を含む、10〜90質量%のアルカリ性源;ならびに、
界面活性剤、
を含んでなる洗浄剤組成物であって、該洗浄剤組成物の使用溶液が、9〜12.5の範囲のpHを有し、
該ホスホノコハク酸(I)ならびに、モノ−(II)およびビス−(III)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式(I)〜(III)を有し、そしてオリゴマー(IV)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式(IV)で表される構造を含む、
洗浄剤組成物であって、
該洗浄剤組成物は、ホスホン酸系組成物よりも大きな質量%で該アルカリ性源を含む、洗浄剤組成物。 - 前記界面活性剤が、エチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシド、またはエチレンオキシドとプロピレンオキシドの組み合わせを含むノニオン性界面活性剤である、請求項7記載の組成物。
- 前記洗浄剤組成物使用溶液が、100〜1500ppmのアルカリ性源、1〜500ppmのホスホン酸系組成物、1〜50ppmのノニオン性界面活性剤を含み、かつ9〜12.5のpHを有する、請求項7記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、10〜70質量%のアルカリ性源、1〜20質量%のホスホン酸系組成物、および1〜10質量%の界面活性剤を含む、請求項7記載の組成物。
- 基材表面へ、洗浄剤組成物を適用することを含んでなる、処理される表面上への硬水スケールの堆積を防止する一方で洗浄する方法であって、該洗浄剤組成物は、
0.01〜20質量%のホスホン酸系組成物ならびに、アルカリ金属水酸化物および/またはアルカリ金属炭酸塩およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選ばれた、10〜90質量%のアルカリ性源を含み、
該ホスホン酸系組成物が、ホスホノコハク酸ならびにモノ−、ビス−およびオリゴマーホスフィノコハク酸付加物の組み合わせであり、
該ホスホノコハク酸(I)ならびに、モノ−(II)およびビス−(III)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式(I)〜(III)を有し、そしてオリゴマー(IV)ホスフィノコハク酸付加物が下記の式(IV)で表される構造を含む、
該洗浄剤組成物は、ホスホン酸系組成物よりも大きな質量%で該アルカリ性源を含む、
方法。 - 前記表面が、プラスチック、金属および/またはガラス表面である、請求項11記載の方法。
- 前記使用溶液が、器物洗浄機の内部で生成される、請求項11記載の方法。
