Description
以下、本発明を実施するための形態を図面に基づいて説明する。
穿孔部4は、金属部材2の表面で開口する、横断面略円形の非貫通孔であり、金属部材2の表面部に複数形成されている。この穿孔部4は、金属部材2の表面部に、後述するレーザ加工装置50(図5参照)を用いてレーザ光(レーザパルス群)を照射することによって形成される。
図2は、レーザパルス群10の時間的構成を模式的に示す図である。なお、図2の縦軸Pは出力を示し、横軸tは時間軸を示している。各穿孔部4は、図2に示すような、各々1周期がTであるサブパルス14,15,16によって構成されるレーザパルス群10を、金属部材2の表面部に1回照射すること(単一ショット)によって形成される。それ故、図9(a)に示すように、レーザパルス群10を一定周期で繰り返し照射することで、金属部材2の表面部に複数の穿孔部4を形成することが可能となっている。このような1パルス(1つのレーザパルス群10)が複数のサブパルス14,15,16から構成されるレーザを照射する方式は、レーザエネルギを深さ方向(Z軸方向)に集中させ易いので、穿孔部4を形成するのに好適である。
上述したレーザパルス群を一定周期で繰り返し発振可能なレーザ加工装置の一例として、以下では、レーザ光源51としてファイバレーザを用いたレーザ加工装置50について説明する。
本実施形態では、パルスジェネレータ81およびドライバ82によりシードLD62が制御される。具体的には、ドライバ82は、パルスジェネレータ81からの信号に基づいて、シードLD62に与える駆動電流を変調する。これにより、図2に示すレーザパルス群10が実現される。このような制御を実現可能なパルスジェネレータ81およびドライバ82の構成例を以下に説明する。
次に、上記レーザ加工装置50を用いた本実施形態に係る接合構造体1の製造方法について説明する。
次に、上記実施形態に係る接合構造体1の製造方法の変形例について説明する。
図8は、本変形例に係るレーザパルス群20の時間的構成を模式的に示す図である。上記実施形態では、各サブパルス14,15,16のパルス幅Bを同じ値に設定したが、本変形例では、第1サブパルス列21および第2サブパルス列22を構成するサブパルス24,25のパルス幅b(サブパルス24,25の1回分の照射時間)を、第3サブパルス列23を構成するサブパルス26のパルス幅Bよりも狭く設定している。
図9は、レーザパルス群10,40,43の繰り返し波形を模式的に示す図であり、同図(a)は実施形態に係るものであり、同図(b)は変形例2に係るものである。上記実施形態では、図9(a)に示すように、同じレーザパルス群10を一定周期で繰り返し、1つの穿孔部4を単一ショットによって形成することで、金属部材2の表面部に複数の穿孔部4を形成するようにした。これに対し、本変形例では、図9(b)に示すように、異なる2つのレーザパルス群40,43を一定周期で繰り返し、1つの穿孔部4を異なる2つのレーザパルス群40,43によって形成するようにしている。
本発明は、実施形態に限定されず、その精神または主要な特徴から逸脱することなく他の色々な形で実施することができる。

Claims (4)
- 金属部材と樹脂部材とが接合された接合構造体の製造方法であって、
各々複数のサブパルスで構成されるレーザパルス群を一定周期で繰り返し発振可能なレーザ光源を用意し、
前記樹脂部材との接合面を構成する前記金属部材の表面部に、前記レーザ光源を用いて複数の穿孔部を形成する穿孔工程と、
前記複数の穿孔部に前記樹脂部材を充填することにより、前記金属部材と当該樹脂部材とを接合する接合工程と、を含み、
前記各レーザパルス群は、前記金属部材の加工閾値以上のピーク出力および本数のサブパルスで構成される第1サブパルス列と、当該第1サブパルス列を構成するサブパルスよりもピーク出力が低く且つ本数が多いサブパルスで構成される第2サブパルス列と、を含み、これら第1サブパルス列および第2サブパルス列を時間軸方向にこの順で組合せることで構成されていることを特徴とする接合構造体の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載の接合構造体の製造方法において、
前記第2サブパルス列を照射した際に、形成途中の前記穿孔部から飛散する金属蒸散物が、当該形成途中の穿孔部の孔壁に付着し再凝固することによって形成される、内側に突出する突出部の形状を制御するように、前記第2サブパルス列を構成するサブパルスのピーク出力を多段階に変化させることを特徴とする接合構造体の製造方法。 - 請求項1または2に記載の接合構造体の製造方法において、
前記穿孔工程では、1つの前記穿孔部を、1つのレーザパルス群を照射することによって形成することを特徴とする接合構造体の製造方法。 - 請求項1または2に記載の接合構造体の製造方法において、
前記穿孔工程では、1つの前記穿孔部を、前記レーザパルス群を含む、サブパルス列の構成が異なる複数のレーザパルス群を照射することによって形成することを特徴とする接合構造体の製造方法。
