- 前記プラグ(106)が後端部(108)を更に備え、前記後端部(108)の一部は、前記プラグ(106)が前記被接合物(400)の前記開口部(404)内に設置されたときに、前記被接合物(400)の表面(401)よりも上方に突出するように構成される、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の物品(100)。
- 前記プラグ(106)に壊れ易く結合されたシャフト(102)を更に備える、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の物品(100)。
- 被接合物(400)を摩擦攪拌接合する方法であって、前記方法が、
出口を有する第1の接合経路に沿って第1の摩擦攪拌接合(302)を実施するステップであって、前記出口において開口部(404)が前記被接合物(400)に形成される、前記第1の摩擦攪拌接合(302)を実施するステップと、
プラグ(106)を前記開口部(404)内に設置するステップであって、前記プラグは、本体(112)と、前記本体に接触する第1のフランジ(122)と、前記第1のフランジから延在する第2のフランジ(123)を備え、前記プラグ(106)が、設置時に、前記第2のフランジ(123)が、前記第1のフランジ(122)、前記本体(112)および前記開口部(404)の間の間隙(113)を空隙なく埋めるように、前記プラグ(106)の前記第2のフランジ(123)が前記プラグ(106)の本体(112)側に変形することにより、前記開口部(404)内に一体化され、前記開口部(404)内に回転方向及び並進方向に固定される、前記設置するステップと、
前記プラグ(106)が内部に設置された前記開口部(404)を横切る第2の接合経路に沿って第2の摩擦攪拌接合(316)を実施するステップであって、前記プラグ(106)が前記第2の摩擦攪拌接合部(422)内で少なくとも部分的に消費される、前記第2の摩擦攪拌接合(316)を実施するステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記プラグ(106)を前記開口部(404)内に設置するステップが、前記プラグ(106)を前記開口部(404)内に押し付けるステップを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記プラグ(106)を前記開口部(404)内に押し付けるステップが、前記プラグ(106)に衝撃を加えるステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記衝撃が、前記プラグ(106)に壊れ易く結合されたシャフト(102)に加えられ、前記衝撃により、前記シャフト(102)が前記プラグ(106)から切り離される、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記プラグ(106)を前記開口部(404)内に押し付けるステップが、前記プラグ(106)にトルクを加えるステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記プラグ(106)が後端部(108)を備え、前記後端部(108)の少なくとも一部は、前記プラグ(106)が前記開口部(404)内に設置されたときに、前記開口部(404)から前記被接合物(400)の表面(401)よりも上方に突出し、前記後端部(108)が、前記第2の摩擦攪拌接合(422)中に摩擦攪拌接合工具により前記開口部(404)内に押し付けられる、請求項9から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
