前記ガスタービンエンジンの前記動作点より高い温度限界を有する材料から製作されるフェアリングであって、流路を覆うリング−ストラット−リング構造体を備えるフェアリングと、
前記フレームと前記フェアリングとの間に配設されて、前記フレームと前記フェアリングとの間の放射熱伝達を阻止するヒートシールドと、を備え、このヒートシールドは、
前記フレームの内側リングに取り付けられた第1のセグメントと、
前記フレームの外側リングおよび前記フェアリングに取り付けられた第2のセグメントと、を含み、第1のセグメントおよび第2のセグメントは、互いから離間して設けられているタービン排気ケース。 - 前記ヒートシールドは、前記フェアリングと前記フレームとの間の全ての見通し線を遮断する、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記ヒートシールドは、リング−ストラット−リング構造体を備える、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記ヒートシールドは、前記フレームの温度限界よりも高い温度限界を有する材料から製作される、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記フレームは、CA−6NM合金から製作される、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記ヒートシールドは、インコネル625合金から製作される、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記フェアリングは、インコネル625合金から製作される、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記フレームは、CA−6NM合金から製造され、
前記複数のストラットは、前記外側リングと前記内側リングとの間に荷重経路を画定する、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。 - 前記フェアリングのリング−ストラット−リング構造体は、前記荷重経路内に流路を画定する、請求項8に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記ヒートシールドおよび前記フレームは、CA−6NM合金よりも、高い温度限界を有する材料から製作される、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 前記ヒートシールドは、前記フレームから前記フェアリングに向けて発生し得る全ての放射熱に対する障壁を形成する、請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケース。
- 請求項1に記載のタービン排気ケースを設計するための方法であって、
ガスタービンエンジンのエンジン動作点の温度成分を求めることと、
前記温度成分に耐え得ないフレーム材料を選択することと、
前記温度成分に耐え得るフェアリング材料を選択することと、
前記動作点での前記フェアリングと前記フレームとの間の温度勾配を求めることと、
前記温度勾配に耐え得る遮蔽温度限界を有するヒートシールド材料を選択することと、
前記ヒートシールド材料を用いて、前記フレームと前記フェアリングとの間に配設されて、前記フレームと前記フェアリングとの間の放射熱伝達を阻止する前記ヒートシールドを構築することと、
を含む、方法。
- フレーム材料は、前記温度成分に耐え得る材料より安価である理由から選択される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記フレームの耐用寿命に亘る前記フレームの修理コストは、前記温度成分に耐え得る材料から製造されるフレームの初期コストより安価である、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記フレーム材料は、CA−6NM合金である、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記温度成分は、前記ガスタービンエンジンの最高動作温度と時間との関数である、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記フレームと前記フェアリングとの間の全ての見通し線を遮断するヒートシールドを構築することを更に含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
