Description
The present invention relates to a spatial light communication device that transmits a signal-modulated laser beam to a communication target, receives a laser beam transmitted from the communication target, and demodulates the laser beam.
A spatial light communication apparatus using a laser beam is mounted on, for example, an artificial satellite or a ground station.
This enables optical communication between artificial satellites and optical communication between the artificial satellite and the ground station. However, when a laser beam is used, spatial propagation loss increases when the laser beam spreads by diffraction.
Therefore, in order to suppress the increase in spatial propagation loss due to the spread of laser beam diffraction, a telescope that expands the aperture of the laser beam and a coarse tracking mechanism that bends the laser beam so that the laser beam is directed to the communication target are implemented. There is a need to.
For example, a general spatial optical communication device mounted on an artificial satellite includes a reflective telescope composed of a plurality of reflecting mirrors in order to realize a large aperture with a light weight.
Assuming that, for example, a Cassegrain telescope composed of a primary mirror and a secondary mirror is used as this reflective telescope, the influence of vibration during launch of the satellite and the structure when the satellite is orbiting Due to deterioration with time, misalignment such as a gap between the primary mirror and the secondary mirror may occur.
The misalignment between the primary and secondary mirrors in the Cassegrain telescope causes wavefront distortion in the laser beam that passes through the Cassegrain telescope, causing the laser beam to spread and causing a spatial propagation loss to increase.
Since the conventional space optical communication apparatus is configured as described above, it is possible to compensate for a wavefront error generated in the Cassegrain telescope and suppress an increase in space propagation loss. However, when compensating for the wavefront error generated by the Cassegrain telescope, it is necessary to receive the laser beam and calculate the compensation amount of the wavefront error from the laser beam. Since the signal intensity is small and the signal-to-noise ratio is small, it is difficult to calculate the compensation amount of the wavefront error with high accuracy. For this reason, a laser beam may be received from an optical ground station capable of transmitting a laser beam having a high signal intensity, but in an environment where the laser beam transmitted from the optical ground station cannot be received, Cassegrain There was a problem that the wavefront error generated in the telescope could not be compensated.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and is a spatial optical communication apparatus that can compensate for the influence caused by misalignment of a telescope without receiving a laser beam transmitted from an optical ground station. The purpose is to obtain.
A spatial light communication device according to the present invention includes a telescope that expands a beam diameter of a laser beam that is transmitted light, while reducing a beam diameter of a laser beam that is a received light, and a laser beam whose beam diameter is expanded by the telescope. While bending and emitting to the space, the laser beam coming from the space is bent and emitted in the direction of the telescope, the planar master that reflects the laser beam, and the transmission and reception of the laser beam with the communication target When performing the control, the reflector that configures the coarse tracking mechanism is controlled so that the laser beam is directed to the communication target, and when compensating for the influence caused by the misalignment of the telescope, the aperture is enlarged by the telescope. A reflecting mirror control mechanism that controls the reflecting mirror so that the laser beam is reflected by the plane master and returns to the telescope, and the laser beam reflected by the planar prototype and returned to the telescope is condensed to produce a focused spot image. Generate And a propagation loss calculation unit that calculates a spatial propagation loss of the laser light due to the misalignment of the telescope from the focused spot image generated by the first focused spot image generation unit. The intensity adjusting unit increases the intensity of the transmitted light as the spatial propagation loss calculated by the propagation loss calculating unit increases.
According to the present invention, when compensating for the influence due to the misalignment of the telescope, the coarse tracking mechanism is configured so that the laser beam whose diameter is enlarged by the telescope is reflected by the planar master and returns to the telescope. A reflecting mirror control mechanism that controls the reflecting mirror, a first focused spot image generating unit that collects the laser light reflected by the planar master and returned to the telescope to generate a focused spot image, A propagation loss calculating unit that calculates a spatial propagation loss of laser light accompanying a misalignment of the telescope from the focused spot image generated by one focused spot image generating unit, and the intensity adjusting unit is a propagation loss calculating unit Since the greater the spatial propagation loss calculated by the above, the higher the intensity of the transmitted light, the laser beam transmitted from the optical ground station is not received. There is an effect that can.

Further, according to the first embodiment, the angle deviation of the laser beam accompanying the misalignment between the

Further, for the compensation of the influence of the spatial propagation loss of the laser beam, it is only necessary to adjust the intensity of the laser beam output from the
