Description
The present invention relates to a liquid ejection apparatus.
Patent Document 1 describes an ink jet recording apparatus that includes a carriage mounted with a recording head and reciprocally movable in a scanning direction, and a sub tank that is mounted on the carriage and supplies ink to the recording head. The sub tank of the ink jet recording apparatus has an ink chamber to which ink is supplied from the main tank via an ink supply tube. The side wall that defines the ink chamber is made of an elastically deformable thin film. As a result, even if pressure fluctuation occurs in the ink in the ink chamber as the carriage moves, the thin film elastically deforms and absorbs the pressure fluctuation. For this reason, it is difficult for pressure fluctuations in the ink chamber to be transmitted to the recording head, and it is possible to suppress the ink ejection from the recording head.
In an ink jet recording apparatus that performs printing on a recording medium by moving the recording head in the scanning direction, there is a demand for an improvement in printing speed. In order to improve the printing speed, for example, it is conceivable to increase the moving speed of the carriage. In this case, in the ink jet recording apparatus described in Patent Document 1, since the ink pressure fluctuation in the ink chamber becomes larger, it is necessary to increase the elastically deformable thin film while further increasing the ink chamber. That is, when the printing speed is improved, there arises a problem that the sub tank having the ink chamber itself is enlarged.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid ejecting apparatus that can suppress an increase in size while reducing fluctuations in the pressure of the liquid.
The liquid discharge apparatus according to the present invention includes a liquid discharge portion having a first liquid flow path including a nozzle for discharging a liquid and a damper chamber for absorbing pressure fluctuations of the liquid so as to supply the liquid to the first liquid flow path. A liquid supply section having the second liquid flow path, a connection section that connects the first liquid flow path and the second liquid flow path, and a support that supports the liquid discharge section and the liquid supply section. And a moving mechanism for moving the support portion in one direction. The liquid discharge unit is fixed to the support unit, and the support unit is configured to move the liquid supply unit together with the support unit by the moving mechanism. The liquid supply unit is supported so as to be movable in the one direction so as to reduce pressure fluctuation.
According to this, even if the support portion moves in one direction at a relatively high speed by the moving mechanism, it is possible to reduce the pressure fluctuation of the liquid in the second liquid channel. For this reason, in order to absorb the pressure fluctuation of a liquid in a damper chamber, it becomes unnecessary to enlarge the said damper chamber, and it becomes possible to suppress an enlargement.
In the present invention, the support section includes a main body section to which the liquid discharge section is fixed and moved in the one direction by the moving mechanism, and an attenuation member disposed between the main body section and the liquid supply section. It is preferable that the damping member attenuates a force that the main body portion applies to the liquid supply portion as the main body portion moves. Thereby, even if the main body moves in one direction by the moving mechanism, the force applied from the main body to the liquid supply unit is attenuated by the damping member. For this reason, it is possible to reduce the pressure fluctuation of the liquid in the second liquid channel.
In the present invention, the damping member is preferably made of an elastic member. Thereby, it is possible to attenuate the force applied from the main body portion to the liquid supply portion with a relatively simple configuration.
Moreover, in this invention, it is preferable that the said elastic member consists of a viscoelastic member. Thereby, it is possible to attenuate the force applied from the main body portion to the liquid supply portion with a simpler configuration.
In the present invention, the main body has a facing portion facing the side wall of the liquid supply portion in the one direction, and the elastic member is disposed between the liquid supply portion and the facing portion. It is preferable that Thereby, even if the main body moves in one direction by the moving mechanism, the force applied from the main body to the liquid supply unit can be effectively attenuated.
Further, in the present invention, the moving mechanism reciprocates the main body portion in the one direction, and the main body portion has two opposing portions arranged at positions sandwiching the liquid supply portion with respect to the one direction. The viscoelastic member is disposed between the liquid supply part and the two opposing parts, and both ends in the one direction are fixed to the liquid supply part and the opposing part. preferable. Thereby, even if the main body is reciprocated in one direction by the moving mechanism, the force applied from the main body to the liquid supply unit can be effectively attenuated.
Further, in the present invention, the moving mechanism reciprocates the main body portion in the one direction, and the main body portion has two opposing portions arranged at positions sandwiching the liquid supply portion with respect to the one direction. The damping member is disposed between the liquid supply portion and the two opposing portions, and communicates with the two bag-like members capable of storing fluid and the two bag-like members, respectively. One of the two flow paths has a higher flow resistance than the other part, and one of the two bag-like members is A portion that allows the fluid to flow only to the other flow passage, and the other of the two flow passages has a flow passage resistance higher than that of the other portion, and the other of the two bag-like members. It is preferable to provide a part that allows fluid to flow from one side to the other. Arbitrariness. Thereby, even if a liquid supply part and one (or other) bag-shaped member contact, the fluid in the said bag-shaped member passes through one (or other) flow path, and the other (or one) bag-shaped It becomes difficult to flow to the member. For this reason, the bag-shaped member becomes a fluid cushion, and the force applied from the main body portion to the liquid supply portion can be effectively attenuated.
In the present invention, each of the parts is preferably composed of a pressure regulating valve and a check valve. Thereby, it is possible to easily adjust the pressure of the fluid cushion by the bag-shaped member.
In the present invention, the support portion is disposed between a portion of the main body portion facing the liquid supply portion in a direction orthogonal to the one direction and the liquid supply portion, and the liquid supply portion is disposed on the main body. It is preferable to further have a slide portion that is slidably supported in the one direction relative to the portion. Thereby, even if the attenuation member is disposed between the liquid supply portion and the facing portion, it is possible to reliably support the liquid supply portion so as to be slidable in one direction with respect to the main body portion.
Further, in the present invention, the support portion includes a main body portion to which the liquid discharge portion is fixed and moves in the one direction by the moving mechanism, and the connection portion is connected to the one direction of the main body portion. A first communicating portion formed at a portion facing the liquid supply portion in a direction orthogonal to the first end and connected to one end different from the nozzle of the first liquid channel, and one end of the second liquid channel. It is preferable that the other end is configured by a rubber joint having a second communication portion connected to the downstream end and connected to the other end of the first communication portion. Thereby, the rubber joint connected to the liquid supply part is connected to the first communication part formed in the main body part. For this reason, even if the liquid supply part moves in one direction with respect to the main body part, the stress generated at this time is not directly applied to the liquid discharge part, and damage to the liquid discharge part can be suppressed. Further, the rubber joint can attenuate the force applied from the main body portion to the liquid supply portion. For this reason, it is possible to reduce the pressure fluctuation of the liquid in the second liquid channel.
According to the liquid ejection apparatus of the present invention, it is possible to reduce the pressure fluctuation of the liquid in the second liquid flow path even if the support portion is moved in one direction at a relatively high speed by the moving mechanism. For this reason, in order to absorb the pressure fluctuation of a liquid in a damper chamber, it becomes unnecessary to enlarge the said damper chamber, and it becomes possible to suppress an enlargement.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

制御装置13は、CPU(Central Processing Unit)、ROM(Read Only Memory)、RAM(Random Access Memory)、及び、各種制御回路等を有する。
The
Next, the
The
The
The
図5(a)は図4のA部拡大図、(b)は図5(a)のB−B線断面図である。
Next, the
As shown in FIG. 5B, the
As shown in FIG. 4, an
Furthermore, the
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the
When a drive signal is supplied from the
Next, the operation of the
As shown in FIG. 6A, when the
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 6B, when the
When the
Further, when the
As described above, even when the
In addition, a member that attenuates the force applied by the
Further, the
The rubber joint 42 is connected to the
As a first modification, any one of the two
As a second modification, as shown in FIG. 7, two elastic members 135 (damping members) made of springs or the like may be provided instead of the two
As a third modification, as shown in FIG. 8, the
Further, as a fourth modified example, the two
As a fifth modification, a damping
The
The
Next, the operation of the damping
As shown in FIG. 10A, when the
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 10B, when the
As described above, according to this modification, the
Further, as a sixth modification, instead of the bag-
