Claims (12)
- 嵌合面及び取り付け面を有する筐体と、
複数の接地端子を支持する第1のフレームを有し、前記筐体によって支持される接地ウエハであって、前記複数の接地端子の各々は前記嵌合面に配置された接点を含み、前記複数の接地端子は前記取り付け面に配置された第1の接合部に電気的に接続され、前記複数の接地端子は尾部を含まない、接地ウエハと、
前記筐体内において接地ウエハに隣接して位置し、複数の信号端子を支持する第2のフレームを含む信号ウエハであって、前記複数の信号端子の各々は前記嵌合面に配置された接点及び前記取り付け面に配置された尾部を含み、前記信号ウエハは第2の接合部を有する接地尾部を含み、前記第2の接合部は前記取り付け面に配置されている、信号ウエハと、
前記第1の接合部及び第2の接合部に位置する導電性の平板と、
を備える、コネクタ。 - 前記接地ウエハ及び信号ウエハはチャネルを画定し、該チャネル内に前記平板が位置する、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記平板は垂直に配置されている、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記平板はフレームの端まで延在する、請求項3に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記信号端子は、各々、尾部から接点まで延在する本体を含み、該本体は、垂直方向に前記平板の先に延在し、該平板を横切る方向に延在する、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記複数の接地端子は端部に接続され、前記第1の接合部は複数であって、前記第1の接合部の各々は前記端部に位置する、請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記信号ウエハは複数の接地尾部を支持し、該接地尾部は、各々、第2の接合部を含み、複数の平板は複数の第1の接合部を対応する第2の接合部に接続する、請求項6に記載のコネクタ。
- コネクタに嵌合面及び取り付け面を供給するステップであって、前記嵌合面は別のコネクタと接続される接点を含み、前記取り付け面は回路基板と接続される尾部を含み、前記取り付け面は複数のチャネルを含み、該チャネルは、各々、第1の接合部及び第2の接合部を含み、前記第1の接合部は接地尾部に接続され、前記第2の接合部は接地端子に接続され、該接地端子は尾部を含まない、ステップと、
導電部材を前記複数のチャネルの各々に挿入するステップであって、前記導電部材は接地端子を接地尾部に電気的に接続する、ステップと、
を備える、方法。 - 前記導電部材は平板である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の接合部及び第2の接合部は細長い開口であって、前記導電部材を前記複数のチャネルの各々に挿入するステップにおいては、前記平板を対応する細長い開口に挿入する、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記コネクタを回路基板に取り付けるステップを、更に備える、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記尾部は圧入様式の尾部であり、前記コネクタを回路基板に取り付けるステップは前記尾部を回路基板のビアに挿入することを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
