赤色画素に配置された第1画素電極と、緑色画素に配置された第2画素電極と、青色画素に配置された第3画素電極と、を備えた第1基板と、前記第1画素電極に対向する第1スリット、前記第2画素電極に対向する第2スリット、及び、前記第3画素電極に対向する第3スリットを備えた共通電極と、を備えた第2基板と、前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間に保持された液晶層と、を備え、前記第3スリットの面積及び面積率の少なくとも一方が前記第1スリット及び前記第2スリットよりも大きい、表示装置が提供される。

Claims (4)
- 赤色画素に配置された第1画素電極と、緑色画素に配置された第2画素電極と、青色画素に配置された第3画素電極と、を備えた第1基板と、
前記第1画素電極に対向する第1スリット、前記第2画素電極に対向する第2スリット、及び、前記第3画素電極に対向する第3スリットを備えた共通電極と、を備えた第2基板と、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間に保持された液晶層と、を備え、
前記第3スリットの面積及び面積率の少なくとも一方が前記第1スリット及び前記第2スリットよりも大きく、
前記第1乃至第3画素電極のそれぞれのサイズは同一である、表示装置。 - 前記第1乃至第3スリットのそれぞれは、第1方向に延出した横スリット及び第2方向に延出した縦スリットを有する十字状に形成され、
前記第3スリットの前記縦スリットは前記第1スリット及び前記第2スリットよりも長い、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1基板は、さらに、白色画素に配置された第4画素電極を備えた、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1基板は、さらに、前記第1画素電極、前記第2画素電極、前記第3画素電極、及び、前記第4画素電極に対向する透明な導電材料によって形成された容量電極と、前記第1乃至前記第4画素電極を覆う第1垂直配向膜と、を備え、
前記第2基板は、さらに、前記共通電極を覆う第2垂直配向膜を備え、
前記第1垂直配向膜と前記第2垂直配向膜との間に挟持されたネガ型の液晶材料によって構成された液晶層と、を備えた、請求項3に記載の表示装置。
