Description
異なるスチール材料または鉄系合金材料の物体(objects)は、通常、ニッケル系または銅系ろう付け材料でろう付けまたははんだ付けすることにより組み立てられる。以降、ろう付けという用語が使用されるが、この用語はまたはんだ付けも含むことが理解されるべきである。ろう付けは、金属部品を接合するプロセスであるが、ろう付けはまた、物体を封止する、または物体を被覆するためにも使用され得る。ろう付け温度は、基材(base material)の固有(original)固相線温度未満である。材料のろう付けの間、ろう付け材料は、加熱処理中に完全に、または部分的に溶融される。
本発明のろう付け材料の固相線および液相線温度をチェックするために、試験試料1から12を作製した。試験試料の組成を表1にまとめる。
試料番号6に対して「曲げ試験」を行い、結果の写真を撮影した(図1参照)。試料6を基材のプレート上に設置し、真空炉内で少なくとも10分間、約1200℃で加熱した。次いで試験プレートを室温まで冷却し、「曲げ試験」を行った。図1は、写真の底部に基材1を、基材の上に反応域2を示しており、該反応域は、ろう付け材料および基材がともに拡散した区域である。反応域の上には、ろう付け材料3がある。写真は、予想されたように、曲げ試験により、ろう付けされた材料3中に亀裂4が形成されたことを示している。驚くべき結果は、亀裂が反応域2を通過せず、代わりに亀裂は方向を変え停止していることであった。この結果を再確認するために、試料番号7を使用し、同じ手順を用いて新たな試験を行った(図2の写真を参照)。第2の試験でも類似の亀裂が生じ、これも反応域から向きを変えていた。
Claims (10)
- (i)19質量%から25質量%のクロム(Cr)と;
(ii)0.9質量%から1.45質量%のマンガン(Mn)と;
(iii)17質量%から26質量%のニッケル(Ni)と;
(iv)3.5質量%から8.0質量%のモリブデン(Mo)と;
(v)0.72質量%から0.79質量%の銅(Cu)と;
(vi)0質量%から0.23質量%の窒素(N)と;
(vii)0質量%から12質量%のケイ素(Si)と;
(viii)0質量%から0.72質量%のホウ素(B)と;
(ix)0質量%から14質量%のリン(P)と、残部Feおよび不可避の不純物元素からなる合金である鉄系ろう付け材料であって;Si、B、およびPは、融点を低めるために有効な量で存在し、Si、B、およびPは、指標=質量%P+1.1×質量%Si+3×質量%Bの式に従う量で含有され、該指標の値は、11質量%から20質量%の範囲内である、鉄系ろう付け材料。 - 前記不純物元素が、炭素(C)、酸素(O)、および硫黄(S)を含む、請求項1に記載のろう付け材料。
- リンが、5.0質量%から14質量%の範囲内である、請求項1または2に記載のろう付け材料。
- ケイ素が、8.0質量%から12質量%の範囲内であり、ホウ素が、0.1質量%から0.72質量%の範囲内である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のろう付け材料。
- 前記合金が、式(質量%Cr+質量%Ni+質量%Mo)≧33質量%により規定される、クロム(Cr)の量、ニッケル(Ni)の量、およびモリブデン(Mo)の量を含有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のろう付け材料。
- 前記合金が、式(質量%Cr+質量%Ni+質量%Mo)≧38質量%により規定される、クロム(Cr)の量、ニッケル(Ni)の量、およびモリブデン(Mo)の量を含有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の鉄系ろう付け材料。
- 請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のろう付け材料をステンレススチールの部品に付けるステップ(i)と;
任意選択で該部品を組み立てるステップ(ii)と;
ステップ(i)またはステップ(ii)からの部品を、非酸化雰囲気中、還元雰囲気中、真空中またはこれらの組合せにおいて、少なくとも900℃の温度まで加熱し、少なくとも1070℃の温度で少なくとも15分間該部品をろう付けするステップ(iii)と;
任意選択で、ステップ(i)、ステップ(ii)、およびステップ(iii)のうちの1つまたは複数を繰り返すステップ(iv)と
を含む、ステンレススチールの物品をろう付けする方法。 - ステップ(iii)において、部品が、少なくとも30分間、1150℃から1250℃の範囲内の温度でのろう付けの前に、1120℃未満の温度まで、予熱される、請求項7に記載のろう付けする方法。
- ステップ(iii)において、部品が、少なくとも15分間、1050℃から1150℃の範囲内の温度でのろう付けの前に、1040℃未満の温度まで、予熱される、請求項7に記載のろう付けする方法。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の鉄系ろう付け材料と、水系もしくは油系またはこれらの組合せの、水性結合剤系もしくは有機結合剤系とを含むペーストであって、油系結合剤は、ポリ(メタ)アクリレート等のポリマー、セルロース誘導体等のバイオポリマー、デンプン、ワックス、またはこれらの組合せであってもよい、ペースト。
