Description
放射線ビームを発生することができる放射線源と、
磁気共鳴画像診断(MRI)装置と、
照射がイメージングと同時に行われることを可能にする、放射線源とMRI装置との間のインターフェースと、
を有し、MRI装置と放射線源は、MRI画像品質を下げることなく放射線源が基本的にどのような角度からでも放射線を被術者に当てることができる回転モードでシステムを使用できるように、結合されている、放射線治療システムが提供される。

放射線源とMRI装置とが動作中に互いに干渉するのを防ぐ干渉低減構造と、

Claims (15)
- 放射線治療システムであって、
磁気共鳴画像診断(MRI)装置と、
加速導波管を備え、放射線ビームを発生することができる放射線源と、
前記放射線源と前記MRI装置とが回転軸の周りを一致して回転し、かつ、前記放射線治療システムを回転モードで使用できるように、前記放射線源と前記MRI装置とを結合して、MRI画像品質を下げることなくイメージングと同時に任意の角度からの被術者への放射線照射を可能にする接続器と、
を有し、
前記加速導波管内の粒子ビームが前記回転軸と垂直になるように、前記加速導波管は前記粒子ビーム内の粒子を加速するように配置されている、放射線治療システム。 - 前記放射線源のパルスが、前記MRI装置の高周波(RF)信号読み取りと同時には起こらない、請求項1に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記接続器は、前記放射線源のガントリーと前記MRI装置のガントリーとを機械的に結合する、請求項1に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記接続器は、前記放射線源と前記MRI装置とを共通のガントリーに結合する、請求項1に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記放射線源によって発生した前記粒子ビームの位置を維持するビームステアリング装置をさらに有する、請求項1に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記ビームステアリング装置は、前記放射線源の加速導波管に沿って配置されている、ビーム位置センサとステアリングコイルとの構成体を含む、請求項5に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記放射線源を取り囲むRFシールドをさらに有する、請求項1に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記RFシールドはファラデー箱を有する、請求項7に記載の放射線治療システム。
- MRI装置のRF信号の読み取りの間、放射線源駆動パルスを中断することにより、前記放射線源の動作と前記MRI装置の動作のタイミングが、前記放射線源と前記MRI装置とが動作中に互いに干渉するのを防ぐように調整されている、請求項1に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 二次元イメージング装置をさらに有する、請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記イメージング装置は、メガ電圧及びコアビームのコンピュータ断層撮影(CT)画像の1つを取得する、請求項10に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記メガ電圧または前記コアビームのCT画像は、治療計画の計算で使用される、ビームの検証及び位置決めと減衰データの生成とのために、磁気共鳴(MR)画像と同時に取得される、請求項11に記載の放射線治療システム。
- CT画像及びMR画像とが同時に取得される、請求項12に記載の放射線源とMRIとの統合システム。
- 前記イメージング装置は単一光子放出断層撮影(SPECT)画像を取得する、請求項10に記載の放射線治療システム。
- 前記SPECT画像が、改善された診断情報及び治療計画のためにMR画像と同時に取得される、請求項14に記載の放射線治療システム。
