Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排気管(14)内に配置される撹拌手段(5)を備えた排気浄化装置(1)であって、
前記撹拌手段(5)は、排気ガスの流れ方向に沿って配置され、排気ガスの流れを整える板状の整流部(51)と、該整流部(51)の下流側に排気ガスを旋回流に変える旋回部(53)とを有し、
前記整流部(51)は複数の整流片(51a)で構成され、
該整流片(51a)の前記排気管(14)の内壁面(14a)に対向する径方向外側端部と前記内壁面(14a)との間に第1の隙間(14b)が形成され、
前記旋回部(53)は、前記整流片(51a)の下流側に扇形状に延設された扇形状部を有し、
該扇形状部の円弧縁(53b)は前記内壁面(14a)に面し、
前記円弧縁(53b)と前記内壁面(14a)とに間に第2の隙間(14c)が形成されると共に、
前記第1の隙間(14b)及び前記第2の隙間(14c)は、その径方向寸法が周方向に対して一定に設定され、
前記排気管(14)内を排気ガスが流れる際に、
前記第1の隙間(14b)及び前記第2の隙間(14c)の下流側に筒状に、排気ガスが該排気管(14)の中心軸(O)の軸方向に沿って流れる直進流路(21)と、
該直進流路(21)の筒内側に、排気ガスが該中心軸(O)の該軸方向に対して旋回しつつ流れる旋回流路(22)とが形成されることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記撹拌手段(5)を前記排気管(14)の軸方向から視認した場合、前記扇形形状部の直線縁(53a)が、隣接する前記整流片(51a)に接する位置関係に配置されていることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1、または請求項2に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記撹拌手段(5)は、前記整流片(51a)から径方向外側に延設される支持部(52)を備え、
該支持部(52)によって、該旋回部(53)は該排気管(14)の前記内壁面(14a)から離間して位置しつつ、該撹拌手段(5)が前記排気管(14)内に保持されることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記撹拌手段(5)は、前記旋回部(53)を複数備え、
該旋回部(53)が、前記中心軸(O)を中心に、周方向に対して等角度間隔で配置されることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記直進流路(21)の流速は、前記旋回流路(22)の流速より早く、
前記撹拌手段(5)が配設された前記排気管(14)の下流側に触媒が配設されたチャンバ(16)を有し、
前記排気管(14)の出口部と前記チャンバ(16)の入口部との間には、湾曲管(15)を介して接続されている
ることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
