Description
本出願は、2009年10月30日に出願された米国仮出願第61/256,633号の利益を主張するものであり、該仮出願は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、疾患によって狭窄又は閉塞した血管を修復するために特に有用である、身体通路又はダクト内での使用のための拡張型腔内移植片(「ステント」)に関する。本発明は更に、自己拡張し、かつニチノール等の超弾性材料から作製されるようなステントにも関する。本発明はまた、かかるステントの送達システムにも関する。
(1) 患者の血管内に挿入するためのステントであって、
前側及び後側の開口端と、それらの間に延在する長手方向軸線と、を有する管状部材であって、前記部材が、前記血管内への挿入のための第1のより小さい直径と、前記血管内への展開のための第2のより大きい直径と、を有し、前記管状部材が、前記長手方向軸線に対して近位及び遠位の開口端をそれぞれが有する、複数の隣接するフープを備え、前記フープが、実質的にS型又はZ型パターンの一連のピーク部及び谷部を形成するように、複数の長手方向の支柱と、周囲方向に隣接する支柱を接続する複数のループと、を備える、管状部材と、
繰り返しパターンで隣接するフープ上のループ間で接続された複数の架橋部であって、前記ループとフープとの間のそれぞれの前記接続が、接続領域を形成し、前記繰り返しパターンが、前記隣接するフープのうちの1つの所与の端に対するループの総数と、同一のフープの同一の端に対する接続領域の数との比率であり、前記比率が、整数である、架橋部と、
を備える、ステント。
(2) 前記比率が、2:1である、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(3) 前記比率が、4:1である、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(4) 前記比率が、8:1である、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(5) 各架橋部が、湾曲した架橋ループ部材の第1の端に各端で直接接続された細長い線形支柱部材を備え、それぞれの湾曲した架橋ループ部材の第2の端が、前記接続領域で前記ループ部材に直接接続される、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(6) 前記管状部材の周囲と、前記細長い線形支柱部材の長さとの比率が、4を超える、実施態様5に記載のステント。
(7) 前記隣接するフープ上のループが、前記長手方向軸線に対して同一の方向に配向される、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(8) 前記隣接するフープ上のループが、前記長手方向軸線に対して回転オフセットされる、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(9) 前記整数が、偶数である、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(10) 前記架橋部が、前記管状部材の前記周囲に沿って均等に離間される、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(12) 前記ステントが、超弾性合金から作製される、実施態様1に記載のステント。
(13) 前記合金が、約50.5パーセント〜約60パーセントのニッケルを含み、残りがチタンを含む、実施態様12に記載のステント。
(14) 前記細長い線形支柱部材が、その長さに沿った中心点に最も狭い地点を有して先細にされる、実施態様5に記載のステント。
Claims (12)
- 患者の血管内に挿入するためのステントであって、
前側及び後側の開口端と、それらの間に延在する長手方向軸線と、を有する管状部材であって、前記部材が、前記血管内への挿入のための第1のより小さい直径と、前記血管内への展開のための第2のより大きい直径と、を有し、前記管状部材が、前記長手方向軸線に対して近位及び遠位の開口端をそれぞれが有する、複数の隣接するフープを備え、前記フープが、実質的にS型又はZ型パターンの一連のピーク部及び谷部を形成するように、複数の長手方向の支柱と、周囲方向に隣接する支柱を接続する複数のループと、を備える、管状部材と、
繰り返しパターンで前記隣接するフープ上のループ間で接続された複数の架橋部であって、前記ループとフープとの間のそれぞれの前記接続が、接続領域を形成し、前記繰り返しパターンが、前記隣接するフープのうちの1つの所与の端に対するループの総数と、同一のフープの同一の端に対する接続領域の数との比率であり、前記比率が、整数である、架橋部と、
を備え、
各架橋部が、前記長手方向軸線に垂直に延びており、第1のフープの湾曲した架橋ループ部材の第1の端における第1の接続領域と、隣接するフープの各湾曲した架橋ループ部材の半径方向にオフセットした第2の端における第2の接続領域とに、各端で直接接続された細長い線形支柱部材を備え、前記複数の架橋部のうちの第1の架橋部が、第1の隣接するフープを、隣接する第2のフープに接続していて、前記隣接する第2のフープを隣接する第3のフープに接続する前記複数の架橋部のうちの第2の架橋部に平行であり、つる巻きバネコイルの機械的挙動を近似しており、前記管状部材の周囲と、前記細長い線形支柱部材の長さとの比率が、5未満である、ステント。 - 前記比率が、2:1である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記比率が、4:1である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記比率が、8:1である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記隣接するフープ上のループが、前記長手方向軸線に対して同一の方向に配向される、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記隣接するフープ上のループが、前記長手方向軸線に対して回転オフセットされる、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記整数が、偶数である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記架橋部が、前記管状部材の前記周囲に沿って均等に離間される、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記管状部材の前記周囲と、前記隣接するフープ間の距離との比率が、20:1〜50:1である、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記ステントが、超弾性合金から作製される、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記合金が、約50.5パーセント〜約60パーセントのニッケルを含み、残りがチタンを含む、請求項10に記載のステント。
- 前記細長い線形支柱部材が、その長さに沿った中心点に最も狭い地点を有して先細にされる、請求項1に記載のステント。
