となる。θo<<1ラジアン(つまり、θo<<57°)では、余弦関数はcos(θo)≒1−θ2によって近似が可能であり、θはラジアンで表される。上記の式を組み合わせると、以下の出力ビーム半角となる。
ここで、nは光線が伝播する媒体の屈折率、rminは光線とランプ又は光学系の光軸との間の最短距離、γは光線と光軸との間の角度である(Non−Imaging Optics、Roland Winstonら、Elsevier Academic Press、2005年、237ページ参照)。スキューの不変性は、機械系における角運動量の保存との光学的類似物である。エネルギー及び運動量の両方が保存されなければならず、機械系の運動においてエントロピーが減少しない機械系と同様に、光学系において、回転対称光学系を通る光線のいずれの損失がない伝播においても、エタンデュ及び回転的スキューの両方の保存が必要である。数(3)では、rminがゼロなので、ランプの光軸を通過するいずれの光線のスキューもゼロである。光軸を通過する光線は、子午光線として知られる。光軸を通過しない光線は、非ゼロスキューを有する。このような光線は、レンズ又はフェースプレートの出射開口を通じてランプを出てもよいものの、光源(入射開口)のスキューがランプの出射開口のスキューとどれほど適合しているかに応じて、ビームルーメン内に閉じ込められても閉じ込められなくてもよい。
Claims (15)
- LED素子を含む1以上のLED装置を含むディスク光源と、
前記光源からの光を整形して光ビームにするように構成された、ビーム形成光学系と、
を備え、
前記光学系が、
前記光源から光を受ける入射開口と、前記入射開口よりも大きい出射開口とを有する円錐リフレクタと、
前記円錐リフレクタの出射開口に設けられたレンズと、
前記光ビームを拡散するように配置された光混合ディフューザと、
を備え、
前記円錐リフレクタが、円錐整形物と平面反射シートとを備え、
前記円錐整形物が、円錐形状の内部空間を形成する第1の部分と、前記光源が配置される円筒形状の内部空間を形成し、反射性側壁を有する第2の部分とを備え、
前記光混合ディフューザが、前記円錐リフレクタの入射開口に設けられる第一ディフューザと、前記円錐リフレクタの出射開口に、前記レンズと共に設けられる第二ディフューザとから成り、
前記平面反射シートが、円錐台の形状を規定し、前記円錐整形物の第1の部分内に挿入され、
前記光源、前記ビーム形成光学系、及び前記光混合ディフューザが、単一のランプとして一緒に固定されている、指向性ランプ。 - 前記光混合ディフューザが、前記光ビームに対して10%未満の後方反射を有する単パスディフューザを含む、請求項1に記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記単パスディフューザが、インターフェースディフューザを含む、請求項2に記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記単パスディフューザが、約40°以下の半値全幅(FWHM)を有する角度分布となるように平行入力光を散乱させる、請求項2に記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記光混合ディフューザが、前記ビーム形成光学系のレンズの主面となるように形成されたインターフェースディフューザを含む、請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記光混合ディフューザが、前記レンズを通過した後の前記光源からの光を受けるように設置される、請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記1以上のLED装置が、
回路基板と、
前記回路基板上に設けられた、前記回路基板を通じて電力供給される、前記LED素子と、
から成る、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。 - 前記1以上のLED装置が、少なくとも2つの異なる色のLED素子を含み、
前記光混合ディフューザが、FWHMビーム角の範囲内の色度のばらつきをCIE1976u’v’色空間図上の加重平均点から0.006以内まで減少させる効果がある、請求項7に記載の指向性ランプ。 - 前記LED素子が、前記円錐リフレクタの入射開口の領域全体に分布する、複数の空間的個別発光ダイオード素子を含み、
前記光混合ディフューザによる前記光ビームの拡散が、前記個別発光ダイオード素子の空間的分離に因るビームパターン中の光強度の空間的不均一性を、実質的に低減又は排除する、請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。 - 前記光源を、前記レンズに対する焦点ずれ位置に、前記ビーム形成光学系の光軸に沿って位置決めすることにより、焦点ずれを引き起こし、
前記焦点ずれに伴う、前記光混合ディフューザからもたらされる光ビームの拡散が、前記複数の空間的個別発光素子に因る多重強度ピークを有する光ビームの空間的強度分布を、前記ビームパターン全体にわたって視覚的に認知可能な局所的な強度のばらつきを有していない光ビームに変換する、請求項9に記載の指向性ランプ。 - 前記光源が、前記レンズに対する焦点ずれ位置に、前記ビーム形成光学系の光軸に沿って位置決めされ、前記光混合ディフューザからもたらされる光ビームの拡散に加えて、焦点ずれによっても、前記光ビームの拡散を発生させる、請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記レンズが、フレネル又は凸レンズである、請求項1乃至11のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記円錐リフレクタの反射面が、400nmを超える可視光に対して少なくとも90%の反射率を有する、請求項1乃至12のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記円錐リフレクタの出射開口径が、前記円錐リフレクタの入射開口径よりも少なくとも3倍大きい、請求項1乃至13のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。
- 前記ビーム形成光学系が、前記光源のエタンデュ不変量及びスキュー不変量の両方を満たす、請求項1乃至14のいずれかに記載の指向性ランプ。
