Description
Claims (18)
- 燃料噴射弁を通して燃焼室に直接噴射されるガス燃料を燃料とする内燃機関の燃料噴射作動時間を求める方法において、
a.複数の参照テーブルに所定の噴射作動時間値を格納するステップであって、各参照テーブル内の作動時間が、ガス燃料レール圧力および燃料供給量の関数であり、各参照テーブルが、シリンダ内圧と相関する第3のパラメータの固定値に対応しているステップと、
b.入力データをコントローラに送るステップと、
c.前記コントローラが、前記ガス燃料レール圧力、前記燃料供給量、および前記第3のパラメータの各値を前記入力データから求めるステップと、
d.前記複数の参照テーブルから、ステップ(c)で求めた前記第3のパラメータの値に値が最も近い前記第3のパラメータの固定値に対応する2つの参照テーブルを特定するステップと、
e.ガス燃料レール圧力および燃料供給量の関数として、ステップ(d)で特定された前記2つの参照テーブルからそれぞれの燃料作動時間を取得するステップと、
f.ステップ(c)で求めた前記第3のパラメータの値に基づき、ステップ(e)で取得した噴射作動時間値間を補間することで、望ましい噴射作動時間を求めるステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、圧縮行程中に前記入力データを収集するステップと、前記圧縮行程中に始まる燃料噴射事象に対する前記望ましい噴射作動時間を求めるステップとをさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータは、シリンダ内圧と相関する少なくとも1つのパラメータの関数として算出されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータは、シリンダ内圧と相関する2つのパラメータの積であることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項4に記載の方法において、前記2つのパラメータは、吸気マニホルド圧力および噴射開始タイミングであることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータは、
i.噴射開始タイミングと、
ii.吸気マニホルド圧力と、
iii.圧縮圧力と、
の中の1つであることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータは、シリンダ内圧と相関し、前記入力データの一部として、前記コントローラに送られる少なくとも2つのパラメータを含む数式を使用して算出され、前記少なくとも2つのパラメータは、以下のもの、すなわち、
i.噴射開始タイミングと、
ii.吸気マニホルド圧力と、
iii.圧縮圧力と、
iv.ガス燃料レール圧力と、
から選択されることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータは、少なくとも1つがシリンダ内圧と相関する2つのパラメータ間の差として前記コントローラによって算出されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータは、前記ガス燃料レール圧力と圧縮圧力との間の差として前記コントローラによって算出されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項9に記載の方法において、前記圧縮圧力は、吸気マニホルド圧力、エンジンの圧縮比、およびポリトロープ指数の関数として算出されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータはまた、シリンダ内圧と噴射圧力との間の圧力差と相関することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記入力データには、エンジンの動作状態と相関するエンジンパラメータがさらに含まれ、そのため前記方法は、前記燃料供給量および前記エンジンパラメータに応じて補正係数を定めた参照テーブルから取得した前記補正係数を適用することで、前記噴射作動時間を補正するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法において、前記エンジンパラメータは、エンジン回転数であることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記複数の参照テーブルは、
a.実験で求めた前記第3のパラメータの最小値に等しい前記第3のパラメータの固定値に対応する第1の参照テーブルと、
b.実験で求めた前記第3のパラメータの最大値に等しい前記第3のパラメータの固定値に対応する第2の参照テーブルと、
c.前記実験で求めた前記第3のパラメータの最小値と最大値との間にある前記第3のパラメータの固定値に対応する第3の参照テーブルと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項14に記載の方法において、前記最小値と前記最大値との間にある、前記第3のパラメータの値の範囲にわたって、前記第3の参照テーブルに対応する前記第3のパラメータの前記固定値は、前記範囲の全体にわたって噴射作動時間をプロットした曲線の変曲点、極小値、または極大値に対応することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項15に記載の方法において、前記第3のパラメータは、噴射開始タイミングと吸気マニホルド圧力との積であり、前記望ましい噴射作動時間は線形補間によって求められることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法において、
g.前記ガス燃料レール圧力および前記燃料供給量に応じて取得可能な補正係数値を、前もって決められた複数の補正係数参照テーブルに格納するステップであって、各テーブルは、前記第3のパラメータとは異なる、シリンダ内圧と相関する第4のパラメータの値に対応しているステップと、
h.前記第4のパラメータの値を示す入力データを前記コントローラに送るステップと、
i.前記前もって決められた複数の補正係数参照テーブルから、前記入力データの前記第4のパラメータの値に値が最も近い前記第4のパラメータの固定値に対応する2つの補正係数参照テーブルを特定するステップと、
j.前記2つの補正係数参照テーブル間で補間することで、望ましい補正係数を求めるステップと、
k.前記望ましい補正係数を適用することで、前記噴射作動時間を補正するステップと、
をさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項17に記載の方法において、前記第4のパラメータは、
a.噴射開始タイミングと、
b.吸気マニホルド圧力と、
c.圧縮圧力と、
の中の1つであることを特徴とする方法。
