Claims (1)
- 燃焼室内で混合気中の燃料に低温酸化反応を生じさせる内燃機関を制御するものであって、
内燃機関が燃焼室内にマイクロ波の放射又は高周波電界の形成を行うためのマイクロ波発生装置又は電界発生装置を備え、マイクロ波又は高周波を点火プラグの中心電極に印加することで、中心電極から燃焼室へマイクロ波を放射し又は中心電極と接地電極との間の空間に高周波電界を形成するものであり、
気筒で実行されるあるサイクルの圧縮行程から膨張行程への過渡期において低温酸化反応が生じないと推測される所定の条件が成立した場合、同サイクルの膨張行程での着火の直前、直後又は着火と同時に燃焼室内にマイクロ波又は高周波電界を発生させるか、前記所定の条件が成立しない場合と比較して同サイクルの膨張行程での着火の直前、直後又は着火と同時に燃焼室内に発生させるマイクロ波又は高周波電界の強度を高めることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。
