Description
The present invention relates to an embossed carrier tape.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, embossed carrier tapes that transport electronic components (products) such as semiconductor chips, ceramic capacitors, chip resistors, and coils and supply them to mounting machines are known (for example, see
A conventional embossed
The product conveyed by the embossed
In the manufacture of such an embossed
However, the conventional embossed carrier tape has the following problems.
That is, when the embossed
In particular, as in the embossed
When the wavy phenomenon occurs in the
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and can reduce the waviness phenomenon that occurs in the tape body by embossing, thereby sufficiently ensuring the sealing performance of the embossed portion in which the product is stored, An object of the present invention is to provide an embossed carrier tape capable of stably picking up a product by suppressing fluctuations in the peel strength of the cover tape during mounting.
In order to solve such problems and achieve the above object, the present invention proposes the following means.
That is, the present invention is an embossed carrier tape in which a plurality of embossed portions for storing products are formed at intervals in the extending direction of the tape main body, and the tape in a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the width direction of the tape main body. Out of the seal margin parts other than the embossed part of the main body, the outer part of the embossed part along the width direction is linear, and is connected between the embossed parts adjacent to each other in the extending direction. The portion has a curved shape that is convex in the direction in which the embossed portion opens in the thickness direction of the tape body.
Further, in the embossed carrier tape according to the present invention, each side of the polygon that forms the opening of the embossed portion may extend linearly.
Moreover, in the embossed carrier tape which concerns on this invention, as the length along the said extension direction of the said connection part is 5% or more and 95% or less of the arrangement pitch of the said embossing parts adjacent to the said extension direction. Also good.
Moreover, the embossed carrier tape which concerns on this invention comprises a drum type | mold, the recessed part for shape | molding the said embossed part on the outer periphery, the plane part which the outer part of the said embossed part contacts, and the said connection part contact The tape main body may be molded using a vacuum molding die provided with a convex curved surface portion.
According to the embossed carrier tape of the present invention, it is possible to reduce the waviness phenomenon that occurs in the tape body by embossing, thereby ensuring sufficient sealability of the embossed part in which the product is stored, and the peel strength of the cover tape during mounting. The product can be picked up stably by suppressing fluctuations.
Hereinafter, embossed
As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B and FIG. 2, the embossed
Here, in this specification, as shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B and FIG. 2, the extending direction of the tape body 1 is represented by L, the width direction of the tape body 1 is represented by W, and the tape The thickness direction of the main body 1 is represented by the symbol T. Further, of both surfaces facing the thickness direction T of the tape body 1, the surface on the side where the embossed portion 3 is opened (upper side in FIG. 2) is referred to as the surface of the tape body 1, and the opposite side (FIG. 2). The lower surface of the tape body 1 is referred to as the back surface of the tape body 1.
The tape body 1 is, for example, a thermoplastic plastic, and specific materials include resins such as polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, amorphous polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, and polypropylene, and kneaded carbon into these resins to make the conductivity. Examples thereof include those that are applied or those whose outer surfaces are coated with a conductive coating. The material of the tape body 1 is not limited to the above.
In the top view of the tape body 1 shown in FIG. 1A (when the surface of the tape body 1 is viewed from the front), the
The
In addition, the embossed portion 3 has a rectangular shape in a top view of the tape body 1 shown in FIG. 1A, and is formed by embossing so that the tape body 1 is recessed from the front surface to the back surface side. Has been. A plurality of embossed portions 3 are formed at intervals in the extending direction L of the tape body 1. Further, the embossed portions 3 adjacent to each other in the extending direction L are arranged at a predetermined interval. Specifically, the distance (arrangement pitch) between the embossed portions 3 adjacent to each other in the extending direction L is set. Are set at regular intervals (equal intervals).
The embossed portion 3 is a bottomed hole recessed in a concave shape from the surface of the tape body 1, and is formed so as to protrude in a convex shape when viewed from the back surface of the tape body 1. When viewed from the front surface side of the tape body 1, the embossed portion 3 has a rectangular hole shape, and four side walls that surround the bottom wall and connect the bottom wall and the seal margin portion of the tape body 1. And have. Here, the “seal margin” of the tape body 1 is a taping margin with a cover tape (not shown) formed substantially perpendicular to the thickness direction T in a portion other than the embossed portion 3 of the tape body 1. Refers to the part. The bottom wall of the embossed portion 3 is formed substantially perpendicular to the thickness direction T, and each side wall of the embossed portion 3 is erected along the thickness direction T from the bottom wall.
Specifically, the embossed portion 3 is formed in a rectangular hole shape that is long in the extending direction L. In the embossed portion 3, the length along the width direction W of a pair of side walls that are disposed to face the extending direction L. Compared with the length direction W, the length along the extending direction L of a pair of side wall opposingly arranged in the width direction W is long. As the side wall of the embossed portion 3 moves from the seal margin portion of the tape body 1 toward the back surface side in the thickness direction T (the bottom wall side of the embossed portion 3), the side wall approaches the other side wall disposed opposite to the side wall. It is formed with a slight inclination.
As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B and FIG. 2, each side (four sides) of the rectangle forming the opening of the embossed portion 3 extends linearly. That is, the ridge line part where the side wall of the embossed part 3 and the seal margin part of the tape main body 1 intersect with each other is formed linearly.
Further, an inspection hole 4 for detecting (inspecting) a product accommodated in the embossed portion 3 is formed in the bottom wall of the embossed portion 3. The inspection hole 4 is formed through the bottom wall of the embossed portion 3. In the top view of the tape body 1 shown in FIG. 1A, the inspection hole 4 has a circular shape and is arranged at the center of the bottom wall of the embossed portion 3.
In FIG. 1A, the plurality of embossed portions 3 are arranged in a portion other than the one end portion along the width direction W of the tape body 1, specifically, the width of the row formed by the embossed portions 3. The centers in the direction W are arranged so as to be slightly offset from the center along the width direction W of the tape body 1 toward the other end side (the lower end side in FIG. 1A).
In the illustrated example, the arrangement pitch between the adjacent embossed portions 3 is twice the arrangement pitch between the adjacent feed holes 2. However, it is not limited to this, and the arrangement pitch between the adjacent embossed portions 3 is the same (equal magnification), 0.5 times, or 3 times or more than the arrangement pitch between the adjacent feed holes 2. It may be an integer multiple or the like. That is, one of the arrangement pitch between the embossed portions 3 and the arrangement pitch between the feed holes 2 may be an integral multiple of the other.
Further, the
As shown in FIG. 1 (a), the connecting
Here, the side view of the tape body 1 shown in FIG. 2 corresponds to a cross-sectional view (side cross-sectional view) perpendicular to the width direction W of the tape body 1. And in this FIG. 2, the
Specifically, out of the sealing margin portion of the tape body 1, the
Moreover, the length along the extending direction L of the
Next, the manufacturing apparatus of the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
In FIG. 3, the embossed
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 4, the forming
In the illustrated example, the convex
Using such a forming
In FIG. 3, the embossed
Next, the embossed
Thus, the embossed
According to the
When the embossed portion 3 is formed by the forming
Specifically, before and after the forming process of the tape body 1 by the forming drum 13 (that is, during the forming process and in the subsequent process), all of the rectangular sides forming the opening of the embossed portion 3 have a straight shape. Maintained. The shape of the pair of
In addition, about the shape of the
Here, the fact that the wavy phenomenon of the tape body 1 is suppressed according to the present embodiment will be specifically described with reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and 7.
1 and 2 show an
In the example of the present embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the entire
On the other hand, in the conventional example shown in FIG. 7 (b), the entire
Specifically, in the present embodiment, the proportion of the embossed portion 3 occupying the entire tape body 1 is increased, and the proportion of the connecting
On the other hand, in the conventional example, the proportion of the embossed
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the undulation phenomenon that occurs in the tape body 1 at the time of manufacture can be suppressed, so that the adhesion when the surface of the tape body 1 is sealed with the cover tape is improved, and the product is stored. Further, the sealing property of the opening of the embossed portion 3 can be sufficiently ensured. Therefore, the malfunction that the product accommodated in the embossed part 3 jumps out from the embossed part 3 or falls off is prevented.
Further, since the amount of fluctuation in the peel strength when peeling the cover tape from the tape body 1 is suppressed during mounting, the phenomenon that the tape body 1 pulsates is prevented, and the product is removed from the embossed portion 3. Picking up can be performed stably and reliably, and productivity can be improved.
Here, it will be described in detail with reference to the graphs of FIGS. 5 and 6 that the pulsation is suppressed when the cover tape is peeled from the tape body 1 in the present embodiment.
FIG. 5 is a graph showing the variation in peel strength when the cover tape is peeled from the tape body 1 of the
In the conventional example shown in FIG. 6, the peel strength varies greatly between 0 and 40 g. This is considered to be due to the fact that the sealing property of the cover tape with respect to the tape
On the other hand, in the example of this embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the peel strength is between 25 and 40 g, and the amount of variation is greatly suppressed compared to the conventional example. This is because the cover tape is uniformly sealed with respect to the tape body 1 and the wavy phenomenon of the tape body 1 is sufficiently suppressed.
As described above, according to the
In addition, according to the present embodiment, various tape shapes such as an increase in diameter and a decrease in diameter of the forming
In addition, when the
Further, since the length along the extending direction L of the connecting

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the embossed portion 3 formed in the tape body 1 has a rectangular hole shape that is long in the extending direction L, and includes one bottom wall and four side walls surrounding the bottom wall. Although described as having, the shape of the embossed part 3 is not limited to this. That is, the embossed portion 3 may have a rectangular hole shape that is long in the width direction W, or may have a polygonal hole shape or a circular hole shape other than the rectangular hole shape.
Further, a concave portion or a convex portion may be formed inside the embossed portion 3 in accordance with the shape of the product accommodated in the embossed portion 3.
In the above-described embodiment, each side of the rectangle forming the opening of the embossed portion 3 extends linearly. However, the shape of the opening of the embossed portion 3 is not limited to a rectangle, and For example, a hexagon or an octagon may be used instead of the rectangle. That is, each side of the polygon that forms the opening of the embossed portion 3 may extend linearly.
In this case, the shape of the

In addition, in the range which does not deviate from the meaning of this invention, you may combine each structure (component) demonstrated by the above-mentioned embodiment, a modified example, a note, etc., addition of a structure, omission, substitution, others It can be changed. Further, the present invention is not limited by the above-described embodiments, and is limited only by the scope of the claims.
