その筒状に形成された筒状フィルムの重合端にシールを施すセンターシール装置と、
そのセンターシール装置の下流側に配置され、前記筒状フィルムを挟んで上下に配置されるトップシーラにて、前記筒状フィルムの幅方向にシールするエンドシール装置を備えた横ピロー包装機であって、
前記製袋器における前記帯状フィルムの両側端縁部が合わさる部分の直前に位置させて、当該両側端縁部間に小物品が侵入するのを抑止する噛み込み防止ガイドを設け、
前記噛み込み防止ガイドは、平断面がY字状となり、そのY字状のIの部分が前記製袋器における底面から下方に垂下した一対の垂直部間に入り込んだ状態で固定され、
前記帯状フィルムの両側端縁部は、前記垂直部と前記Iの部分の間を通過するように構成したことを特徴とする横ピロー包装機。
