Claims (8)
- 高分子電解質膜に触媒層が配置されてなる膜電極接合体と、
前記膜電極接合体のアノード側に配置されるアノードセパレータと、
前記膜電極接合体のカソード側に配置されるカソードセパレータと、
前記膜電極接合体と前記アノードセパレータとの間に位置するガス流路空間に並行に配置される複数の第1リブと、
前記膜電極接合体と前記カソードセパレータとの間に位置するガス流路空間に並行に配置される複数の第2リブと、
前記膜電極接合体と前記第1リブとの間および前記膜電極接合体と前記第2リブとの間の少なくとも一方に配置される導電性多孔質基材からなる支持体と、を有しており、
前記第1リブおよび前記第2リブは、前記アノードセパレータおよび前記カソードセパレータを折って重ね合せて形成される突出部からなり、
前記突出部は、重ね合せ面の少なくとも一部が当接あるいは接合されており、
前記重ね合せ面は、前記アノードセパレータおよび前記カソードセパレータの積層方向に延長している
ことを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 前記支持体は、前記膜電極接合体と前記第2リブとの間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記支持体は、前記膜電極接合体の曲げ剛性より大きい曲げ剛性を有し、かつ、前記膜電極接合体と前記第1リブとの間および前記膜電極接合体と前記第2リブとの間の両方に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記第1リブのリブピッチと前記第2リブのリブピッチとは、同一であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記支持体は、金属製であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記突出部は、前記アノードセパレータおよび前記カソードセパレータを二つに折って重ね合せて形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記アノード側と前記第1リブとの間に配置される前記支持体の厚みと、前記カソード側と前記第2リブとの間に配置される前記支持体の厚みとは、同一であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記支持体と前記膜電極接合体との間に配置される中間層を有しており、
前記中間層は、前記膜電極接合体に対して前記支持体から付加される応力を緩和することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池。
