Description

The present invention relates to a booklet with an IC, and more particularly to a booklet that requires a high security function such as a passport.
This application claims priority on June 18, 2010 based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2010-139228 for which it applied to Japan, and uses the content here.

As shown in FIG. 12, a medium such as a passport or a passbook has a plurality of paper surfaces 801 and 802 overlapped, and a central portion is bound with a wire or a thread 803 (saddle stitching) to form a booklet. In particular, there is a booklet such as a passport that requires high security for preventing forgery (Patent Document 1). In such booklets include, for example, treated with a fluorescent dye, stitching yarn which emits an ultraviolet light source (anti-counterfeiting binding yarn) or the like by using, that with the aim of preventing forgery.

On the other hand, recently, an embedded booklet has been developed so that an IC chip that stores personal information or the like as digital data can be read and written by a reader / writer. Especially in the field of passports, such booklets are being adopted in various countries. As a form of embedding an IC chip in a booklet, a form in which an IC chip is attached to a booklet cover, or a form in which an inlet including an IC chip is sandwiched between pages and both pages are bonded to each other has been proposed (Patent Document 2). .

In the form in which the inlet including the IC chip is sandwiched between pages, particularly in the case of saddle stitching, the innermost paper surface where the saddle stitching thread is exposed is folded centering on the saddle stitching thread, and the inlet is sandwiched. Such a form is preferable in terms of manufacturing process and strength because a uniform load is applied to both pages, and is adopted in passports in several countries including Japan (Non-patent Document 1).

However, when the inlet is sandwiched between the innermost paper surfaces, the binding yarn is also sandwiched at the same time and is not exposed. For this reason, there arises a problem that even when a binding thread that has been subjected to the anti-counterfeiting process described above is used, the binding thread cannot be used for verification.

In view of the above, an object of the present invention is to provide a booklet with an IC that is easy to manufacture and excellent in security.

FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a booklet with an IC according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing a cross section (S-S ′) of the booklet with IC shown in FIG. 1 that crosses the IC chip and is orthogonal to the main surface of the first saddle stitching substrate 11. In the booklet with IC 100 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, two or more saddle stitching substrates are stacked and saddle stitched. With the back side of the booklet as the outer surface, at least a part of the binding portion 11a (the region overlapping the saddle stitching member 13 in FIG. 1) of the innermost saddle stitching base material 11 (first saddle stitching base material) is light transmissive. Have. The saddle stitching member 13 is subjected to forgery prevention processing. The first saddle stitch base material 11 is sandwiched and bonded to the IC chip 141 and the inlet 14 having the antenna 142 for communicating in a non-contact manner with the IC chip 141. In other words, the first saddle stitching base material 11 is folded in two around a center line 13a (throat) sewed with a saddle stitching thread (saddle stitching member 13) and bonded together. An inlet is sandwiched between the saddle stitching substrate 11 (for example, a light transmissive film).

The saddle stitching in each embodiment according to the present invention means that the substantially center line portion of the sheet-like first saddle stitching substrate 11 is the second saddle stitching by the binding means (saddle stitching member 13) provided with the forgery prevention means. It means that it is joined to the substrate 12. Accordingly, in the stage before the first saddle stitch base material 11 is bonded, the first saddle stitch base material 11 forms a spread with the line segment (binding portion 11a) connecting the bound portions as a center. According to the configuration of each embodiment of the present invention, at least one of the binding portions 11a of the first saddle stitch base material 11 even in a state where the first saddle stitch base material 11 is saddle stitched and bonded in the booklet. Since the portion is light transmissive, at least a part of the saddle stitching member 13 is visually exposed. Therefore, it is possible to verify the forgery prevention means. The booklet constitutes the booklet of the present invention alone or in combination with general booklet components such as a cover.

In each embodiment according to the present invention, if at least a part of the binding portion 11a is light-transmitting and includes a saddle-stitched sheet-like saddle-stitching base material (first saddle-stitching base material 11), a plurality of the binding portions 11a are provided. It may be a booklet composed of booklets. For example, a plurality of booklets including one booklet obtained by saddle-stitching a sheet-like saddle stitch base material in which at least a part of the binding portion is light-transmitting may be sequentially laminated to form one booklet. As shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B, a booklet in which a saddle-stitching base material 11 in which at least a part of the binding portion is light-transmitting at an arbitrary spread of the second booklet body 21 is saddle-stitched may be used. For example, in the configuration of FIG. 3A, the light-transmitting film as the saddle stitching substrate 11 is saddle-stitched in a predetermined spread of the second booklet 21, and the second booklet adjacent to the light-transmitting film is spread. The page corresponds to the second saddle stitching substrate 12. In FIG. 3B, it is the structure which carried out the saddle stitching of the light transmissive film as the 1st saddle stitching base material 11, and the 2nd saddle stitching base material 12 to the 2nd booklet body 21. FIG.
FIG. 1 shows an IC booklet 100 in which a light-transmitting film is used as the first saddle stitching substrate 11. In the same figure, since the saddle stitching base material 11 has optical transparency, it is drawn so that the saddle stitching member 13 and the inlet 14 sandwiched between the first saddle stitching base material 11 can be seen. The same applies to FIGS. 3A, 3B and FIG.
In the following, a booklet composed of one saddle-stitched booklet will be described as an example. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and various booklet configurations as described above can be applied in each embodiment.

In each embodiment according to the present invention, the first saddle stitching base material is saddle-stitched using the binding means provided with the forgery prevention means. As the binding means, a common saddle stitch thread or other saddle stitch members can be used. The anti-counterfeiting means according to the present invention is not particularly limited as long as the authenticity can be determined by visual information. Specific examples include a material that emits fluorescence when irradiated with ultraviolet light, and a binding thread that can be verified by irradiating an ultraviolet light source or micro-characters are printed and can be verified by enlarged visual recognition. Possible yarns can be mentioned. It may be bound in a booklet shape using a material that has been subjected to the above-described anti-counterfeiting processing, or may be subjected to anti-counterfeiting processing on the binding thread after binding, as described in Patent Document 1. . Further, a binding means using a special binding method may be used so that it is difficult to disassemble and re-stitch after binding once.
As an example of the saddle stitching method using the binding thread, there is a saddle stitching method using a general sewing method using an industrial sewing machine. Either a chain method for sewing to the end of the base material or an interlock method for sewing in the middle of the base material without sewing to the end of the base material may be adopted. The interlock method is less likely to fray than the chain method. However, even in the chain method, the end of the binding thread is fixed by fusion with the adhesive layer or the first saddle stitching base material, so there is no problem even if the chain method is adopted.
Further, if an adhesive layer is formed on the first saddle stitch base material before saddle stitching, the adhesive layer functions as a base material protective layer that suppresses damage to the saddle stitch base material during sewing.

Among the saddle stitching base materials, the first inner saddle stitching substrate 11 constituting the innermost surface, that is, the surface from which the saddle stitching member 13 is exposed, has light transmittance so that the saddle stitching member 13 can be visually recognized as described above. Since it is necessary, it is preferable to use a light transmissive film. However, it is not necessary to constitute the entire first saddle stitch base material 11 with a light-transmitting film. As shown in FIGS. May be pasted together. If a concealing (impermeable) base material is used as another film base material, as will be described later, a concealing layer for concealing the inlet 14 can be obtained. The width of the light transmissive region of the first saddle stitching substrate 11 is set to be at least larger than the width of the saddle stitching member 13. When a thread is used as the saddle stitching member, the width of the light-transmitting region depends on the thickness of the thread (yarn diameter R), and the distance d from the center line 13a of the binding portion 11a is larger than πR / 2. It is preferable.

As a material constituting the light transmissive film used for the first saddle stitch base material 11, polyester base materials such as PET and polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), polyimide base materials, acrylic base materials, vinyl chloride base materials A general plastic film such as can be used. Further, a film having a multilayer structure in which functional layers for improving printability and adhesiveness and preventing charging may be used. Moreover, a hard base material using engineering plastics such as polycarbonate can also be used. In particular, when a color-developing resin material that can be printed by laser irradiation is used as the saddle stitching base material 11, printing such as a unique ID can be applied to the saddle stitching base material 11. Examples of the color developing resin material include those obtained by adding an additive such as a foaming agent or a pigment to a resin such as polycarbonate or PET.
The “light transmittance” in the present embodiment does not necessarily have a high transmittance for all light wavelengths in the visible light range, and may be colored. It is sufficient that at least the saddle stitching member 13 (saddle stitching thread) is visible and has a certain degree of transmittance at a predetermined light wavelength. However, as will be described later, particularly when a latent image and an optical functional layer are provided, the light transmittance of 90% or more in the visible light wavelength range (about 400 to 800 nm) is provided so as not to affect the expression of the latent image. It is preferable that Further, when verification is performed by irradiating the saddle stitching member 13 (saddle stitching yarn) with ultraviolet rays, a light transmissive film that transmits ultraviolet rays is used. In this case, it is preferable that the transmittance with respect to the irradiated ultraviolet rays is 50% or more.

As the second saddle stitching base material 12, a base material having a strength capable of yarn binding can be appropriately employed. Fiber base materials such as general pulp paper and synthetic paper, polyester base materials such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), polyimide base materials, acrylic base materials, vinyl chloride base materials, etc. Various plastic films can be used. Moreover, a hard base material using engineering plastics such as polycarbonate can also be used. Further, when a color-developing resin material that can be printed by laser irradiation is used as the saddle stitching substrate 12, printing such as a unique ID can be applied to the saddle stitching substrate 12. Examples of the color developing resin material include those obtained by adding an additive such as a foaming agent or a pigment to a resin such as polycarbonate or PET.
As the saddle stitch base material, a base material in which the same or plural kinds of materials are superimposed can be used. For example, a material having a larger film thickness or a material having higher rigidity than the inner saddle-stitched substrate can be used for the back-side saddle-stitched substrate in order to improve the strength. Further, as described above, another booklet can be used as the second saddle stitching substrate 12.

The inlet 14 sandwiched between the spreads of the first saddle-stitched base material 11 that is saddle-stitched includes at least an IC chip 141 and an antenna 142, and can write and / or read information without contact with the IC chip. Functions as a possible IC. 5A and 5B are schematic views showing a configuration example of the inlet 14, FIG. 5A is an antenna pattern forming surface, and FIG. 5B is a back surface thereof. In the example of FIGS. 5A and 5B, an antenna pattern 142 is formed on the inlet base material 143, a jumper wire 144 is provided on the back surface at the intersection of the patterns, and the connection portions 145 at both ends of the antenna 142 are connected to form an antenna. ing.

As the inlet base material 143, a polyester film base material such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a polyimide base material, an acrylic base material, or a vinyl chloride base material can be used. Moreover, a hard base material using engineering plastics such as polycarbonate can also be used. Further, when a color developing resin material that can be printed by laser irradiation is used as the inlet base material 143, printing such as a unique ID can be performed on the inlet base material 143. Examples of the color developing resin material include those obtained by adding an additive such as a foaming agent or a pigment to a resin such as polycarbonate or PET.
A paper substrate may also be used. Although it does not specifically limit as a paper base material, For example, the hard paper base material using the compression fixation paper can be used. Specific examples include those obtained by laminating a plurality of vulcanized fibers made from natural cellulose.

The pattern of the antenna 142 can be formed by an etching method, a plating method, a printing method, or a pattern vapor deposition method. In the etching method, a metal foil such as aluminum or copper is laminated on the antenna substrate, or a metal thin film such as aluminum or copper is formed on the antenna substrate by vapor deposition or sputtering. A mask pattern can be formed on the metal thin film, and an antenna-shaped pattern can be obtained by etching. In the printing method, conductive ink is printed. The printing method is not particularly limited as long as it can be finely patterned, but a screen printing method can be suitably used. When a paper substrate is used as the antenna substrate, a printing method can be suitably used as a method for forming the antenna. In the plating method, the catalyst layer is formed by patterning, and then the antenna is formed by electrolysis or electroless plating. In the pattern vapor deposition method, an antenna pattern is formed by performing vapor deposition or sputtering in a pattern using a mask having an opening. Instead of providing the jumper wire 144 on the back surface, a wiring made of an insulating base material and a conductive member may be bonded to a portion where the antenna pattern intersects, and both ends of the wiring may be electrically connected to the antenna 142. Further, the antenna may be formed by fixing and arranging metal wires in a coil shape. The number of turns and the shape of the antenna can be appropriately set according to the communication frequency and other characteristics. This configuration can be used particularly when an antenna and wiring are formed on one side.

The IC chip 141 and the antenna 142 can be connected by bonding the terminal end of the antenna 142 and a bump or connection pad connected to the IC chip 141 by welding or an adhesive. As the adhesive, a conductive adhesive can be suitably used.

Further, as shown in the configuration example of FIG. 6, the inlet 14 may be formed directly on the light-transmitting film 11 without providing the inlet base material 143. Further, a protective layer may be provided for protecting the IC chip 141 and for eliminating the film thickness difference between the IC chip 141 forming portion and the antenna 142 and antenna forming surface. For example, a protective layer having a sealing function or a protective layer having an opening in a region corresponding to the IC chip can be laminated on the antenna formation surface before or after mounting the IC chip.

In order not to expose the IC chip 141, a concealing layer covering at least a part of the inlet 14 may be provided. In this case, it is preferable for security to provide the IC chip 141 so as to be concealed. The structural example of a concealment layer is shown to FIG. 7A to 7D, only the schematic cross-sectional views of the inlet 14 and the first saddle stitching base material 11 are shown, and the other portions are omitted. In FIG. 7A, the concealing layer 16 is provided on the exposed surface (outside) of the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (light transmissive film). In FIG. 7B, the concealing layer 16 is provided inside the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (light transmissive film). In FIG. 7C, a concealing layer 16 is provided inside the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (light transmissive film), and an IC chip 141 and an antenna 142 (inlet) are formed on the concealing layer 16. 7A to 7C, since the concealing layer is provided on the first saddle-stitching substrate 11 (transparent film), the first saddle-stitching substrate 11 (light transmission) provided with the concealing layer 16 in advance before saddle stitching is performed. An adhesive film) can be used. In any configuration, the first saddle stitch base material 11 (light) is used so that the saddle stitching member 13 (saddle stitching thread) can be surely seen through the first saddle stitch base material 11 (light transmissive film). On the transparent film), it is preferable that the inlet 14 and the concealing layer 16 are arranged away from the saddle stitching member 13 at least 0.5 mm, more preferably 1 mm or more from the fold line (center line 13a). In FIG. 7D, the concealing layer 16 is provided in the inlet. Moreover, you may use combining the arrangement | positioning of the concealment layer 16 of the said FIGS. 7A-7D.

As the shielding layer 16, a light-shielding pattern such as a character or a pattern can be directly provided on the first saddle stitch base material 11, the inlet 14, or the like. Alternatively, the light shielding layer 16 may be formed by providing the above-described pattern on the base material, and this may be bonded to the first saddle stitch base material 11, the inlet 14, or the like. The above-mentioned pattern can be formed by a printing method using an ink having a colored pigment or dye such as white or black.

As described above, after the inlet 14 is arranged between the spreads of the sheet-like first saddle stitch base material 11, the left and right pages of the first saddle stitch base material of the first saddle stitch base material are bonded to each other. A booklet according to the embodiment is created. The first saddle stitch base material may be pasted after fixing the inlet 14 to one page of the spread pages, or the inlet 14 may be inserted simultaneously with the first saddle stitch base material pasting. For the adhesive layer 15 for bonding, for example, an EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate resin) -based, EAA (ethylene acrylic acid copolymer resin) -based, polyester-based, polyurethane-based adhesive, or the like can be used. Further, instead of applying an adhesive, an adhesive sheet made of the resin used for the above adhesive is sandwiched between the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (for example, a light-transmitting film) and the inlet 14 and used. You can also. Moreover, you may prepare and use the 1st saddle stitch base material 11 which formed the contact bonding layer in the surface bonded beforehand. In particular, when a hot-melt adhesive is used, bonding can be performed easily by thermocompression bonding, and the flatness of the first saddle stitching substrate 11 after bonding can be maintained.
Furthermore, when the base material which has thermoplasticity is used as the 1st saddle stitch base material 11, it can bond by thermocompression bonding, without using the above adhesive layers 15. FIG. When the bonding is performed by thermocompression bonding, the inlet 14 and the first saddle stitch base material 11 are integrated, and forgery by replacement of the IC chip 141 becomes more difficult, for example.
Further, a resin material on which a symbol, a character, or the like is printed as the inlet base material 143, and the same resin material is used for the first saddle stitch base material 11, and the first saddle stitch base material 11 and the inlet 14 are bonded by thermocompression bonding. When integrated, it is difficult to forge printed symbols and characters. Thereby, the security of the booklet 100 can be further improved. In particular, if a color developing resin material added with a color forming additive is used for the inlet base material 143 and the same resin material not containing a color forming additive is used for the first saddle stitch base material 11, Printing on the inlet 14 can be performed after the saddle stitching base material 11 is bonded by utilizing the transparency of the material 11. Of course, printing on the inlet 14 may be performed before integration.

FIG. 8 is a schematic view showing another embodiment of a booklet with an IC according to the present invention. FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view showing the cross section (SS ′) of the booklet with IC shown in FIG. 8 across the IC chip 141 and orthogonal to the main surface of the first saddle stitch base material 11 (light-transmitting film). It is a schematic diagram. In the booklet with IC 200 according to FIGS. 8 and 9, the optical function layer 31 is provided on the first saddle stitch base material 11 (light transmissive film). Furthermore, a latent image 32 that appears by applying the optical function layer 31 to a position facing the optical function layer 31 on a page adjacent to the first saddle stitch base material 11 (second saddle stitch base material 12). Is provided. Note that “acting the optical functional layer” means that the light reflected by the latent image region passes through the optical functional layer until it is visually recognized by the observer. With the configuration described above, forgery prevention means capable of self-verification can be provided in the booklet, and a booklet having security and easy verification can be provided.

Specifically, the optical functional layer 31 functions as a polarizer, a retardation plate, an optical mask, or a combination thereof. The optical functional layer 31 is selected according to the type of latent image so as to function as a latent image verification filter.

When the latent image 32 is a print latent image, a latent image drawn with a pitch different from the above pitch is formed in a background image drawn with lines or halftone dots arranged at a predetermined pitch. Can do. As the optical functional layer 31 which is a verification filter for visualizing the latent image, a layer in which a stripe pattern corresponding to the pitch of the background image is formed can be used. By superimposing the print latent image and the functional layer, the functional layer hides the background image, and the latent image drawn at a pitch different from the background image can be recognized.

The print latent image can be formed using a known printing method such as an offset printing method, a gravure printing method, a screen printing method, or an ink jet printing method. The optical functional layer 31 that is a verification filter for the printed latent image can be formed of the same material as the antenna 142 when the antenna 142 is formed. When the optical functional layer 31 that is a verification filter is formed of a metal such as copper or aluminum, the functional layer may be blackened so that the metallic luster does not interfere with the visualization. Specifically, a portion other than the functional layer may be covered with a protective mask made of resin or the like, and acid treatment or the like may be performed to blacken the surface of the metal pattern serving as the functional layer. Thereby, it becomes easy to visually recognize the visualized image.

When the latent image 32 is a polarized latent image, it can be formed by a polarizing layer having different polarization directions in the background portion and the latent image portion. Further, a retardation layer having a different phase difference between the background portion and the latent image portion may be formed on the polarizing layer having the same polarization direction. The polarization latent image can be formed using a known method. For example, an alignment layer is provided in the latent image forming region, and a latent image is formed by the alignment pattern of the alignment layer. For the alignment layer, a photo-alignment type liquid crystal or the like can be used. A latent image is formed by forming an alignment pattern in the photo-alignment curable liquid crystal layer. Alternatively, a diffraction grating may be provided in the layer of the photo-alignment curable liquid crystal so as to generate polarization or alignment. Here, the photo-alignment curable liquid crystal refers to a photo-curable liquid crystal having photo-alignment properties.

A polarizing filter (polarizing film) can be used as the optical function layer 31 that is a verification filter for visualizing the polarization latent image. In this case, since the light from the background portion and the latent image portion has different polarization directions, the light from one of the background portion and the latent image portion is blocked and the light from the other is transmitted through the polarizing filter. . Thus, since the contrast difference is produced between the background portion and the latent image portion through the polarizing filter, the latent image can be recognized. As such a polarizing filter, a general resin polarizing plate or a wire grid polarizer in which 1000 or more stripe patterns per 1 mm are formed can be used. The number of stripe patterns can be arbitrarily set according to the frequency of the target light. If the polarized light in the visible light range is selectively transmitted, the number of stripe patterns may be about 5,000 to 10,000 per mm.

Further, a polarizer combined with a retardation plate may be used as the optical functional layer 32 that visualizes the polarization latent image. In the case of a latent image provided with a retardation layer, the image to be visualized can be made different depending on the stacking order of the polarizer and the retardation plate with respect to the latent image. Therefore, a latent image can be formed on the two facing pages at a position facing the optical functional layer 31, and different latent image patterns can be revealed on the left and right.

When a wire grid polarizer is used as the optical functional layer 31 that is a verification filter, it can be formed of the same material as the antenna 142 when the antenna 142 is formed, as described above.

As shown in FIG. 9, the optical functional layer 31 may be provided on the side (inner side) of the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (light transmissive film) sandwiching the inlet 14, or as shown in FIG. You may provide in the outer side of the one saddle stitching base material 11. FIG. In particular, when the optical functional layer 31 is provided in a region inside the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (light transmissive film) where the inlet 14 is not disposed, the antenna 142 of the inlet 14 is formed at the same time or first Since the optical functional layer 31 (light functional layer film) can be sandwiched at the same time as the inlet 14 is sandwiched between the saddle stitch base material 11 (light transmissive film), the manufacturing is easy. On the other hand, when the polarization latent image is arranged as the latent image 32 on one side of the second saddle-stitching base material 12, the first saddle stitching base is arranged so that the optical functional layer 31 is arranged immediately above the latent image 32. If the optical functional layer 31 is disposed at a position corresponding to the latent image 32 outside the material 11 (light transmissive film) (see FIG. 10), the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (light transmissive film) is light anisotropic. Even when a material having a property is used, the function of the optical functional layer 31 is not influenced by the first saddle stitch base material 11 (light-transmitting film).

In the case where the concealing layer 16 is provided, the concealing layer 16 does not cover the region corresponding to the latent image 32 of the optical function layer 31. However, the area of the optical functional layer 31 that does not correspond to the latent image 32 (area that does not act on the latent image) can naturally be covered with a concealing layer for design and the like. In addition, when a general binding thread is used as the saddle stitching member 13, the first saddle stitching substrate 11 (light-transmitting film) is used so that the aforementioned saddle stitching member 13 (binding means) can be surely visually recognized. It is preferable to arrange the saddle stitching member 13 at least 0.5 mm, more preferably 1 mm or more away from the two-fold fold line (binding portion 11a). Alternatively, when the optical functional layer 31 covers the throat region including the saddle stitch member portion, it is preferable to use a material having a high ultraviolet transmittance for the optical functional layer 31.

The latent image 32 may be formed on one page of the two-page spread of the second saddle-stitching substrate 12 adjacent to the saddle-stitched substrate 11 (light transmissive film), or may be formed on both pages of the two-page spread. Also good. In order to provide the optical functional layer 31 outside the arrangement region 33 of the inlet 14, a latent image 32 is provided on the periphery of the second saddle stitching substrate 12 as shown in FIG. It is preferable to provide the latent image 32 at the center of the binding substrate 12. In particular, when the latent image 32 is provided at the center portion of the second saddle stitch base material 12 as shown in FIG. 11B, the latent image 32 is folded in two, that is, a part of the saddle stitching member 13 (saddle stitching thread). It can be continuously formed across.
