Description

The present invention relates to a sheet processing apparatus, an image forming apparatus, and an image forming system.

As one of booklets created from a sheet on which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus, a saddle-stitched booklet created by folding a sheet in a folded manner and performing saddle stitching is generally known.
Further, when creating a saddle-stitched booklet, a cutting process is generally performed in which a part of the end of the saddle-stitched booklet is cut off. The edge of the saddle stitch booklet can be aligned by the cutting process.

As a sheet processing apparatus for performing the cutting process, a sheet holding and conveying unit that holds and conveys a saddle-stitched booklet and a cutting unit that directly cuts a cutting blade on the sheet surface of the saddle-stitched booklet and performs saddle-stitching by the holding and conveying unit. 2. Description of the Related Art A paper processing apparatus that holds a booklet, conveys it, and enters a cutting unit is known (for example, Patent Document 1).

However, in the conventional paper processing apparatus, there are cases where the booklet cannot be satisfactorily entered into the cutting section.
Hereinafter, problems of the conventional sheet processing apparatus will be described with reference to FIGS.
The nipping / conveying unit 1001 nipping the back cover side of the booklet D, and conveys the end (small end) of the booklet D facing the back cover toward the cutting unit 1002 side. In this case, the cutting unit 1002 performs cutting by bringing a cutting blade into contact with the fore edge of the booklet D that has entered the inside of the cutting unit 1002.
However, as shown in FIG. 9, the cover or the like of the booklet D becomes divergent toward the edge of the edge, and the edge of the edge does not fit in the entrance to the cutting part 1002. In some cases, the booklet D cannot be satisfactorily entered.

Also, even if the end of the booklet D fits into the cutting unit 1002 fortunately, as shown in FIG. 10, the booklet D enters the cutting unit 1002 in a state where the end of the booklet D is widened, so that the fold of the booklet D is sandwiched. Thus, the path taken by each bifurcated booklet surface becomes uneven, and the edge end side after cutting by the cutting unit 1002 may not be aligned in that state.

On the other hand, if the holding area of the booklet D by the holding and conveying unit 1001 is simply increased and the small edge end side of the booklet D is intended to be along the holding surface, the operation portion accompanying the holding increases, so that the paper processing It becomes difficult to perform an operation for clamping in a limited space in the apparatus. Specifically, it is necessary to process the clamping member into a shape that does not collide with each part in the sheet processing apparatus, which complicates the design and manufacturing process.

Although the above-mentioned problems are described for booklets (saddle-stitched booklets), the same problem arises for a single folded sheet or a plurality of folded sheets. Can occur.

Hereinafter, the configuration of the nipping and conveying unit 340 among the components of the sheet processing apparatus 300 will be described in detail.
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the sheet processing apparatus 300.
FIG. 3 is a side view of the nipping / conveying unit 340 and the cutting unit 370 provided in the sheet processing apparatus 300 as viewed from the direction of the arrow V1 shown in FIG.
2 and 3 illustrate the internal configuration of the paper processing apparatus 300 in a visible manner for convenience of explanation, but in actuality, it is provided inside the exterior provided to cover the casing of the paper processing apparatus 300. It has been.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the nipping and conveying unit 340 is provided above the cutting unit 370. The sandwiching and conveying unit 340 sandwiches the saddle-stitched booklet B delivered from behind as shown by an arrow V2 in FIG. Then, the nipping and conveying unit 340 conveys the saddle-stitched booklet B so as to be lowered along the guide rail L provided along the Z direction, and causes the edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B to enter the cutting unit 370. .

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the two clamping members 341 and 342 are, for example, plate-like members along the XY plane, and sandwich the saddle-stitched booklet B on side surfaces (clamping surfaces) facing each other. To do. Here, the clamping surface is along the YZ plane.
More specifically, the two holding members 341 and 342 are members provided in the transport unit U and provided on the same plane with respect to the XY plane. One clamping member 341 is provided in the transport unit U so as to be movable along the X direction. The other clamping member 342 is fixed in the transport unit U. When sandwiching the saddle-stitched booklet B, the sandwiching and transporting unit 340 holds the one sandwiching member 341 in the state where the saddle-stitched booklet B is positioned between the one sandwiching member 341 and the other sandwiching member 342. The saddle-stitched booklet B is pinched by operating it so as to be close to 342. That is, the sandwiching and transporting unit 340 includes two sandwiching members 341 and 342 provided so as to sandwich a sheet such as the saddle-stitched booklet B to be sandwiched, and one sandwiching member 341 is brought close to the other sandwiching member 342. The paper is pinched by operating.
Here, the two clamping members 341 and 342 function as clamping means for clamping the saddle-stitched booklet B on the back cover side of the saddle-stitched booklet B, that is, on the fold side of the paper constituting the saddle-stitched booklet B.

Although not shown in the drawings, the delivery unit 360 carries, for example, both ends in the Y direction on the spine cover side of the saddle-stitched booklet B along the YZ plane as the upper side, and the small edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B is used as the upper side. It is conveyed from the rear to the front of the guide rail L so as to be suspended, and is positioned between the conveyance unit U and the cutting part 370. In this state, the conveyance unit U is lowered according to the operation of the conveyance drive unit 344 (see FIG. 5), so that the two clamping members 341 and 342 are back of the saddle-stitched booklet B suspended from the transfer unit 360. It is positioned at a position where the cover side can be sandwiched. Then, the saddle-stitched booklet B is clamped by moving the one clamping member 341 so as to approach the other clamping member 342. After the saddle stitch booklet B is sandwiched by the two sandwiching members 341 and 342, the delivery unit 360 is retracted rearward.

Next, the extending member 343 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 3, the extending member 343 extends, for example, downward from one of the holding members 341, that is, to the small edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B, and comes into contact with the cover page on one side of the saddle-stitched booklet B. The cover surface on one side of the saddle-stitched booklet B is supported so that the saddle-stitched booklet B follows the holding surfaces (YZ planes) of the two holding members 341 and 342. By supporting the saddle-stitched booklet B by the extending member 343, it is possible to prevent the edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B from spreading in the X direction as shown in FIG.

FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of the clamping member 341 and the extending member 343.
For example, the extending member 343 is provided so as to extend to the edge end side by rotating with respect to the clamping member 341.

Specifically, for example, as shown in FIG. 4, the extending member 343 is a rod-shaped member, and one end of the extending member 343 is centered on a rotating shaft 343 a provided on the end side in the Y direction of the holding member 341. The other end side is supported toward the center of the holding member 341 in the Y direction. Here, the rotation shaft of the extending member 343 is provided along the X direction, and the extending member 343 rotates along the YZ plane.
As shown in FIG. 4, two extending members 343 are provided, and the rotation shafts 343 a of the two extending members 343 are provided on both ends of the holding member 341 in the Y direction. As shown at position P1 in FIG. 4, the two extending members 343 are not extended from the clamping member 341, and the longitudinal direction along the other end side from the rotating shaft 343a is supported at a rotation angle along the Y direction. In this case, the other ends are arranged in a straight line with respect to the Y direction, and the other ends of the Y direction are opposed to each other.

The extending member 343 is connected to a rotation drive unit 345 (see FIG. 5) via a rotation shaft 343a, and rotates according to the operation of the rotation drive unit 345. The rotation drive unit 345 is, for example, a motor such as an electric motor.

The extending member 343 extends from the holding member 341 at the other end side toward the edge end side of the paper such as the saddle-stitched booklet B held by the holding members 341 and 342 (for example, the position shown in FIG. 4). P2 or the like, and a rotation angle at which the other end side does not extend from the clamping member 341 (for example, the position P1 or the like shown in FIG. 4).
The extending member 343 rotates so as to extend from the pinching member 341 when the saddle-stitched booklet B is pinched by the pinching members 341 and 342, and comes into contact with the small-edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B, thereby Guide them to face down.
Here, the extending member 343 comes into contact with one side of the front cover surface of the small edge end side of the middle folded paper such as the saddle stitch booklet B held by the holding members 341 and 342, and the edge end side is cut to the cutting portion 370. It functions as a guide means for guiding to.

Further, the extension amount of the extending member 343 at the rotation angle at which the other end side extends from the clamping member 341 as shown in the position P2 in FIG. 4 is in a positional relationship with each component of the cutting portion 370. Respond.

Prior to the description of the extension amount of the extension member 343, the main configuration and operation of the cutting unit 370 will be described.
The cutting part 370 is provided along the XY plane, and is provided above the cutting blade 371 with the cutting edge 371 having the blade tip directed rearward, and sandwiches the vicinity of the small edge of the saddle-stitched booklet B. And cutting and clamping portions 372 and 373. The cutting blade 371 and the cutting clamping part 373 are each provided so as to be movable along the X direction.
By the operation of the cutting and clamping unit 372, the cutting unit 370 holds the vicinity of the edge of the saddle stitch booklet B (for example, a range Q1 shown in FIG. 4) in cooperation with the cutting and clamping units 372 and 373. Further, in this state, the cutting blade 371 operates to cut off an end portion of the saddle stitch booklet B (for example, a range Q2 shown in FIG. 4).

In other words, the area below the range Q1 of the saddle-stitched booklet B shown in FIG. 4 corresponds to the range in which the cutting and clamping parts 372 and 373 of the cutting part 370 and the cutting blade 371 are in contact with the saddle-stitched booklet B. When the protruding member 343 extends, the extending member 343 and the configuration of the cutting portion 370 may come into contact with each other, which may hinder the operation of the cutting portion 370.

Therefore, in the present embodiment, as shown at a position P2 in FIG. 4, the position of the end portion on the other end side of the extending member 343 extending from the clamping member 341 is cut on the edge end side of the saddle stitch booklet B. The configuration of the portion 370 is provided so as to be higher than the range (range Q1, Q2) in contact.
Specifically, the extending member 343 is positioned so that, for example, the position of the end portion on the other end side extending from the clamping member 341 is a position P2 that is separated from the upper end of the range Q2 by a predetermined margin M. Is done. That is, the extending amount of the extending member 343 is from the back cover to the lower end of the range clamped by the clamping member 341 in the length Q between the fold of the spine of the saddle stitch booklet B and the edge of the fore edge. It corresponds to the length obtained by subtracting the range Q0, the range Q1, the range Q2 on the fore edge side, and the predetermined margin M.

Here, the length Q between the fold of the spine of the saddle stitch booklet B and the edge of the fore edge varies depending on the size of the paper used to create the saddle stitch booklet B. Moreover, the width (for example, range Q2 shown in FIG. 4) of the edge part of the saddle-stitched booklet B to be cut off can be arbitrarily set. As described above, since various ranges related to the cutting and clamping of the saddle-stitched booklet can be changed, the extension amount of the extending member 343 can change the size of the saddle-stitched booklet B that can be changed or the edge to be cut off. It is controlled according to the width of the part.

In the present embodiment, the extending member 343 is extended to the edge end side before the holding of the saddle stitch booklet B by the holding members 341 and 342 is completed.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, a guide wire 350 is provided on the other clamping member 342 side of the two clamping members 341 and 342.
The guide wire 350 is a wire that extends downward from the clamping member 342 along the Z direction.
For example, as shown in FIG. 4, two guide wires 350 are provided so as to have a substantially equal distance with respect to the center in the Y direction of the saddle stitch booklet held by the holding members 341 and 342. The two guide wires 350 and 350 are both parallel to each other along the Z direction.
The position of each guide wire 350 in the Y direction is the inner side of both ends in the Y direction of the saddle-stitched booklet B having the smallest size in the Y-direction among the saddle-stitched booklets B sandwiched between the two holding members 341 and 342. It is provided to become.
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the guide wire 350 is provided so as to correspond to the position of the holding surface of the other holding member 342 of the two holding members 341 and 342 in the X direction.

As shown in FIG. 3, the guide wire 350 provided as described above in the X, Y, and Z directions is the other holding member of the saddle-stitched booklet B whose back cover side is held by two holding members 341 and 342. It abuts against the fore edge end side of 342 to prevent the diverging in the X direction on the fore edge end side. In other words, the guide wire 350 is provided along the holding surface of the other holding member 342, and the other end of the saddle-stitched booklet B held by the two holding members 341 and 342 is held between the two holding pins. It functions as an extending member that supports the saddle-stitched booklet B so as to be along the clamping surface of the member. In addition, the guide wire 350 is in contact with a side of the front cover surface of the center folded end of the saddle-stitched booklet B or the like that is sandwiched between the sandwiching members 341 and 342 and is not guided by the extending member 343, so It functions as a guiding means for guiding the end side to the cutting section 370.

Further, the guide wire 350 moves so as to be interlocked with the vertical movement of the transport unit U by the interlocking mechanism 351.
Specifically, for example, as shown in FIG. 3, the guide wire 350 is guided forward by a fixed pulley 351 a provided on the front side of the cutting portion 370 on the side extended below the clamping member 342. It is led upward provided in the front. The end side guided above the guide wire 350 is connected and fixed to the transport belt 346 via a fixing plate 351b.

As shown in FIG. 3, the transport belt 346 is extended in the Z direction by being supported by two rollers 346 a and 346 b provided on the upper and lower sides. Further, as shown in FIG. 3, a transport unit U is fixed to the transport belt 346.
Here, the transport belt 346 is supported by two rollers 346a and 346b to form two flat portions along the Z direction as shown in FIG. 3, but the transport unit U is fixed. The side where the fixing plate 351b is provided and the side where the fixing plate 351b is provided are different flat portions. That is, when one of the transport unit U and the fixed plate 351b is lowered along the Z direction by driving the transport belt 346, the other is lifted.

One of the two rollers 346 a and 346 b is connected to the transport driving unit 344. The conveyance driving unit 344 is, for example, a motor such as an electric motor, and drives the conveyance belt 346 by operating to rotate one of the two rollers 346a and 346b. The transport unit U moves up and down according to the driving of the transport belt 346 and transports the saddle stitch booklet B sandwiched by the sandwiching members 341 and 342.
At this time, according to the vertical movement of the transport unit U, the guide wire 350 extending downward from the holding member 342 is also urged in the vertical movement direction, but is fixed to the fixing plate 351b as described above. The end side of the guide wire 350 is fixed to the plane of the transport belt 346 on the side that operates in the direction opposite to the vertical movement of the transport unit U. By moving, the tension of the guide wire 350 between the clamping member 342 and the fixed plate 351b is maintained. As described above, the guide wire 350 is interlocked with the movement of the transport unit U by the interlocking mechanism 351 including the fixed pulley 351a and the fixed plate 351b.

Here, the transport driving unit 344 moves the transport unit U, so that the cutting edge 371 is provided on the edge end side of the half-folded sheet such as the saddle-stitched booklet B sandwiched by the sandwiching members 341 and 342. It functions as a moving means for moving the holding members 341 and 342 so as to enter.
The interlocking mechanism 351 functions as interlocking means that moves the guide wire 350 along the moving direction of the sandwiching member 342 in conjunction with the movement of the sandwiching member by the transport driving unit 344.

Hereinafter, an outline of the conveyance and cutting progress of the saddle-stitched booklet B sandwiched by the sandwiching members 341 and 342 will be described.
The holding members 341 and 342 that hold the back cover side of the saddle-stitched booklet B delivered from the delivery unit 360 are saddle-stitched by the conveyance unit U being lowered along the guide rail L by the operation of the conveyance drive unit 344. The booklet B is lowered toward the cutting unit 370 with the booklet B being sandwiched. At this time, the edge portion side of the saddle-stitched booklet B is widened in the X direction by the one holding member 341 side being supported by the extending member 343 and the other holding member 342 side being supported by the guide wire 350. It descends while being guided in a state where it is not allowed.

In addition, as the transport unit U is lowered, the extending member 343 extended from the one clamping member 341 is similarly lowered. In addition, as described above, the interlocking mechanism 351 also lowers the guide wire 350 of the portion that extends downward from the other pinching member 342 and supports the edge end side of the saddle stitch booklet B in conjunction with it.

The saddle-stitched booklet B on which the edge end side is supported causes the edge edge side to enter the gap between the cutting and clamping parts 372 and 373 of the cutting part 370 when the transport unit U is lowered.
Here, as shown in FIG. 3, an entry guide member 374 that guides the entry of the saddle stitch booklet B on the edge end side may be provided above the cutting nipping part 372 of the cutting part 370. The approach guide member 374 has, for example, an inclined surface that is divergent in the rearward direction with respect to the X direction from the position where the cutting and clamping portion 372 located at the rear of the cutting and holding portions 372 and 373 is disposed upward. The inclined surface is continuous with the gap between the cutting and clamping portions 372 and 373, and guides the saddle stitch booklet B to enter by the inclined surface.
Further, the entry guide member 374 may be accommodated by an operation such as backward rotation shown in FIG. 3 after the saddle stitch booklet enters the gap between the cutting and clamping portions 372 and 373.

The conveyance drive unit 344 is located at a position where an end portion (for example, a range Q2 shown in FIG. 4) of the saddle stitch booklet B cut by the cutting unit 370 extends downward from a cutting position of the cutting blade 371 of the cutting unit 370. The conveyance unit U is positioned so that the saddle stitch booklet B is lowered. In this state, the cutting and clamping units 372 and 373 of the cutting unit 370 operate to clamp the vicinity of the edge end portion of the saddle stitch booklet B (for example, the range Q1 shown in FIG. 4). Thereafter, the cutting blade 371 operates to perform a cutting process of cutting off the end portion of the saddle stitch booklet B.
After the cutting process, the cutting and clamping units 372 and 373 operate to cancel the saddle stitch booklet B. Thereafter, the transport driving unit 344 operates to raise the transport unit U in a state where the sandwiching booklet is held by the sandwiching members 341 and 342. The extending member 343 and the guide wire 350 also move in conjunction with the ascent.
The saddle-stitched booklet B lifted by the lift is released from the clamping unit 341 and 342 and discharged through the discharge unit 380.

Note that the rotation of the extending member 343 and the rotation angle for adjusting the extension amount, that is, the operation control of the rotation driving unit 345 and the conveyance driving unit 344 corresponding to the vertical movement of the conveyance unit U are described. The operation control of the nipping drive unit 341a (see FIG. 5) such as an electric motor that linearly moves the nipping member 341 is performed by a sheet processing control unit 505 that is a control unit of the sheet processing apparatus 300.

FIG. 5 is a block diagram illustrating a main configuration relating to operation control of the image forming system 1.
The image forming system 1 receives a user input operation related to the operation of the image forming system 1, and performs an operation display unit 501 that performs display output related to the operation of the image forming system 1, and a center that performs operation control of the entire image forming system 1. The control unit 502, the image formation control unit 503 that controls the operation of the image forming apparatus 100, the paper reversal control unit 504 that controls the operation of the paper reversing apparatus 200, and the paper processing control unit that controls the operation of the paper processing apparatus 300. 505 and a side stitching processing control unit 506 that controls the operation of the side stitching processing apparatus 400.

The operation display unit 501 includes, for example, a touch panel type operation display device, various input switches, keys, and the like, and transmits a signal corresponding to a user input content to the central control unit 502.
The central control unit 502, the image formation control unit 503, the paper reversal control unit 504, the paper processing control unit 505, and the side stitching processing control unit 506 each have a CPU, RAM, ROM, and the like, and a software program corresponding to the processing content And various data are read and executed.

The central control unit 502 performs saddle stitching on the paper size and the number of colors at the time of image formation (for example, color, grayscale, monochrome, etc.) according to the input content of the user input via the operation display unit 501. Various settings related to the image forming system 1 are made, such as the number of some sheets, the execution / non-execution of the cutting of the edge that is the margin, and the width of the edge to be cut. Then, the central control unit 502 instructs the control units of the image formation control unit 503, the paper reversal control unit 504, the paper processing control unit 505, and the side stitching processing control unit 506 to perform processing according to the set contents. Is output. Each control unit controls the operation of the device to be controlled according to the command.

Hereinafter, in particular, operation control before and after the cutting process of the sheet processing apparatus 300 by the sheet processing control unit 505 will be described.
First, the sheet processing control unit 505 moves the transfer unit 360 from the rear to the front, and positions the saddle stitch booklet B between the transport unit U and the cutting unit 370. Next, the sheet processing control unit 505 operates the transport driving unit 344 to lower the transport unit U and position the saddle stitch booklet B between the two sandwiching members 341 and 342. Next, the sheet processing control unit 505 operates the clamping drive unit 341a to move one clamping member 341 forward and operates the rotation driving unit 345 to extend the extending member 343 downward. The saddle-stitched booklet B is clamped by the two clamping members 341 and 342 and the small edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B is guided by the extending member 343. Here, the completion of the extension of the extension member 343 by the operation of the rotation drive unit 345 is performed before the completion of the saddle stitch booklet B clamping by the two clamping members 341 and 342. In addition, the extension of the extension member 343 by the operation of the rotation drive unit 345 may be completed before the operation of the clamping drive unit 341a is started. Further, the sheet processing control unit 505 changes the length between the spine cover of the saddle-stitched booklet B and the edge edge of the saddle-stitched booklet B that changes according to the size of the saddle-stitched booklet B, changes in the length of the edge edge that is cut, and the like. Accordingly, the operation of the rotation drive unit 345 is controlled so as to adjust the extension amount of the extension member 343 with respect to the clamping member 341.
Here, the sheet processing control unit 505 functions as an adjusting unit that adjusts the extension amount of the extension member 343.

Thereafter, the sheet processing control unit 505 retracts the transfer unit 360 backward. Next, the sheet processing control unit 505 operates the transport driving unit 344 to lower the transport unit U, and causes the saddle stitch booklet B to enter the cutting unit 370. Subsequently, the sheet processing control unit 505 sequentially performs operation control for holding the vicinity of the edge portion of the saddle-stitched booklet B by the cutting and holding units 372 and 373 of the cutting unit 370 and cutting processing by the cutting blade 371.
After that, the sheet processing control unit 505 eliminates the pinching of the saddle-stitched booklet B by the cutting and pinching units 372 and 373, raises the transport unit U by the operation of the transport driving unit 344, and discharges the saddle-stitched booklet B by the discharge unit 380. The operation control is sequentially performed.

As described above, according to the image forming system 1 of the present embodiment, the extending member 343 provided so as to be able to extend on one side of the front cover surface of the saddle stitch booklet B sandwiched by the sandwiching members 341 and 342 is provided. Since the guide edge 350 is guided to the cutting edge 370 by abutting against the front cover surface of the edge edge side, and the guide wire 350 guides the other side, it is prevented from spreading on the edge edge side of the saddle stitch booklet B. Thus, the end portion of the saddle-stitched booklet B can smoothly enter the cutting portion 370.
Further, by preventing the spread of the end, it is possible to align the paper surfaces from the spine of the saddle-stitched booklet B to both ends in substantially the same direction. The edge of the booklet can be finished more beautifully. That is, according to the image forming system 1 of the present embodiment, the cutting accuracy (quality) of the saddle stitch booklet B is further improved.
In addition, since the extending member 343 is provided so as to be able to extend, the portion that is operated by the movement (for example, forward movement) of the clamping member 341 by being stored without being extended from the clamping member 341 is cut off. The area (for example, the area of the YZ plane) can be minimized, and the spread can be prevented well in a limited space in the sheet processing apparatus. In other words, since the collision with each component in the sheet processing apparatus 300 can be avoided by switching between extension / non-extension, the design and manufacturing process for matching the shape of the holding member 341 with each component in the sheet processing apparatus 300 is performed. It is not necessary, and spread can be prevented by a simpler mechanism.

In addition, since the extending member 343 extends from the holding member 341, the extending member 343 is accommodated in the holding member 341 when not extended, so that the holding area of the configuration related to holding the saddle-stitched booklet B is further reduced. The saddle-stitched booklet B is sandwiched and guided to the cutting unit 370 without causing a collision between each component in the sheet processing apparatus 300 such as the transfer unit 360 and the nipping and conveying unit 340. Can do.

In addition, since the extending member 343 extends to the edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B before the pinching of the saddle-stitched booklet B by the sandwiching members 341 and 342 is completed, the extending member 343 and the saddle-stitched booklet are bound. Since the sliding of the booklet B with the cover surface can be eliminated, the saddle-stitched booklet B can be supported without leaving a sliding mark on the paper surface of the saddle-stitched booklet B. Can keep in.

Further, since the extending member 343 is provided so as to extend toward the fore edge end side by rotating with respect to the holding member 341, the extending member 343 can be extended with a simpler configuration.

Moreover, since the extension amount of the extension member 343 with respect to the clamping member 341 is adjusted according to the length Q between the fold of the spine of the saddle stitch booklet B and the edge of the fore edge, the extension amount of the extension member 343 Can be supported on the edge end side as an optimal extension amount according to the size of the saddle stitch booklet B.

Further, since the extending member 343 is adjusted so that the extending portion 370 and the extending member 343 extending toward the edge end side do not come into contact with each other, the extending member 343 and the cutting portion 370 are adjusted. It is possible to prevent the cutting process from being disturbed by contact, and the cutting process can be performed more smoothly. That is, it is possible to achieve both the prevention of the end spread of the saddle-stitched booklet B on the edge end side by the extending member 343 and the smooth cutting process.

Further, the sheet processing apparatus 300 includes two sandwiching members 341 and 342 provided with the saddle stitch booklet B sandwiched therebetween, and the saddle stitching operation is performed by bringing one sandwiching member 341 close to the other sandwiching member 342. Since the booklet B is sandwiched and the extending member 343 is provided on one of the sandwiching members 341, the sandwiching area of the sandwiching member 341 that moves when the saddle-stitched booklet B is sandwiched is made more compact to prevent collision with the surrounding structure. In addition, the extending member 343 can prevent the saddle-stitched booklet B from spreading out, and can support a wide range from the back cover side of the saddle-stitched booklet B to the edge end side regardless of the sandwiching area.
That is, if the clamping member 341 has a clamping surface corresponding to the extension amount of the extending member 343, each configuration in the sheet processing apparatus 300 (for example, the casing of the sheet processing apparatus 300, the delivery unit 360, etc.) Although there is a possibility that the holding member 341 may collide, as in the present embodiment, the extension member 343 can be extended from the holding member 341 so that the collision caused by the operation of the holding member 341 can be eliminated. Can be prevented more easily.

The other of the saddle-stitched booklet B provided on the other clamping member 342 side of the two clamping members 341 and 341 along the clamping surface of the other clamping member 342 and clamped by the two clamping members 341 and 342. Since the guide wire 350 is provided as an extending member that supports the saddle-stitched booklet so that the small edge end side on the side is along the holding surface of the other holding member 342, the extending member provided on the one holding member 341 Together with 343, it is possible to better prevent the end of the fore end on the other clamping member 342 side from spreading.

Further, since the extending member is a wire (guide wire 350), the installation range occupied by the extending member in the sheet processing apparatus 300 can be minimized.

Further, the interlock mechanism 351 can move the guide wire 350 along the movement direction of the sandwiching members 341 and 342 in conjunction with the movement of the sandwiching members 341 and 342 by the transport driving unit 344. Since it is possible to eliminate sliding with the front cover of the saddle-stitched booklet B, the saddle-stitched booklet B can be supported without leaving a sliding mark on the paper surface of the saddle-stitched booklet B, making the saddle-stitched booklet B more beautiful. Can be kept in a state.

The scope of the present invention is defined by the terms of the claims, rather than the description above, and is intended to include any modifications within the scope and meaning equivalent to the terms of the claims.

For example, the extending member 343 in the above-described embodiment has one end provided with a rotating shaft provided on both ends of the holding member 341, and the other end moved by turning is held when retracted (when not extended). Although it faces the center side of the member 341 and the other end side is provided so as to move from the center side toward the outside by rotation, this is an example and the present invention is not limited to this.

As a specific example, as shown in FIG. 6, an extending member 3431 in which one end provided with a rotation shaft is the center side of the holding member 341 and the other end side faces outward may be adopted. In this case, the top and bottom of the saddle-stitched booklet B, that is, both ends B1 in the Y direction on the side of the fore-edge of the saddle-stitched booklet B sandwiched along the YZ plane as in the above-described embodiment, Since B2 can be supported, warping to the outside of the paper that can occur from the top side can be prevented better than when supporting the vicinity of the center in the top and bottom direction (for example, the Y direction).

Further, as shown in FIG. 7, both ends of the extending member 3432 provided substantially parallel to the small edge end portion of the saddle stitch booklet B are extended to the small edge end portion side by connecting members 3433 and 3433 connected to each other. You may make it support so that it is possible. In this case, the edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B can be supported in a wider range, and end spread can be prevented more favorably.
In addition, although the connection members 3433 and 3433 shown in FIG. 7 are connected with the both ends of the extension member 3432, it is an example and is not restricted to this. For example, the extending member 3432 may be supported by a pantograph-like connection, or both a connection by a pantograph or the like and a connection at both ends as shown in FIG. 7 may be used in combination.
Further, by setting the length of the extending member 3432 shown in FIG. 7 in the vertical direction (for example, the Y direction) to be equal to or larger than the maximum width of the sheet such as the saddle-stitched booklet B handled by the sheet processing apparatus 300, the size of the sheet is reduced. Regardless of this, it is possible to prevent the spread of the powder.

Further, the extending member is not limited to the specific examples shown in FIGS. 4, 6, and 7. For example, you may employ | adopt the extending member of the shutter structure provided so that it could extend from the clamping member 341 to the edge edge part side. In this case, the extending member is, for example, a bellows structure, a continuous plate structure that is accommodated in a state where a plurality of plates are superimposed, and moves so that the overlapping area of the plates gradually decreases as it extends. Have

Further, in the above embodiment, after the extension amount of the extending member 343 is determined, the conveyance unit U is moved up and down to convey the saddle-stitched booklet B. However, as the saddle-stitched booklet B is conveyed, The extending amount of the extending member 343 may be adjusted.
Specifically, for example, as shown at a position P3 in FIG. 8, when the saddle-stitched booklet B is sandwiched by the sandwiching members 341 and 342, or from the start of the lowering of the transport unit U performed after the sandwiching, the small edge of the saddle-stitched booklet B Until the section starts to enter the cutting section 370, the saddle-stitched booklet B extends to the lower side beyond the ranges Q1 and Q2 where the configuration of the cutting section 370 abuts on the small edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B and a predetermined margin M. By supporting the fore edge end side by the extending member 343, it is possible to prevent the end spread more reliably. Then, as the fore edge portion of the saddle-stitched booklet B starts entering the cutting portion 370, a range Q1 in which the configuration of the cutting portion 370 contacts by rotating the other end side of the extending member 343 upward, By moving to a position above Q2 (for example, the position P2 shown in FIG. 8), the cutting unit 370 smoothly moves to the cutting process by the cutting unit 370 without contacting the extending member 343. be able to.

In the above embodiment, the extending member 343 extends to the edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B before the pinching of the saddle-stitched booklet B by the sandwiching members 341 and 342 is completed. The extension member 343 may be extended to the small edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B after the clamping of the saddle-stitched booklet B by the sandwiching members 341 and 342 is completed.
For example, the open space on the small edge end side of the clamping member 341 cannot be secured as compared with the above embodiment, and the extension member 343 is installed before the clamping of the saddle-stitched booklet B by the clamping members 341 and 342 is completed. When there is a possibility that the extending member 343 collides with another configuration when the saddle-stitched booklet B is extended to the edge end side, the saddle-stitched booklet B on the back cover side of the saddle-stitched booklet B is clamped. By extending the extending member 343 to the edge end side of the saddle-stitched booklet B after the clamping is completed, it is possible to prevent the extending member 343 from spreading even in a more limited space in the sheet processing apparatus 300. Can be realized.

Moreover, in said embodiment, although the guide wire 350 is provided as an extending member, it is an example and is not restricted to this. For example, a film-like member such as a cloth, a net, or a mesh may be provided along the extending direction similar to the guide wire 350 described above.

Further, in the above embodiment, the guide wire 350 as the extending member moves in conjunction with the movement of the sandwiching members 341 and 342 accompanying the conveyance of the saddle stitch booklet B. However, this is only an example. It is not something that can be done.
For example, the guide wire 350 is fixed and extended so as to be inserted in the Z direction with respect to the holding member 342, so that the holding member 342 accompanying the vertical movement of the transport unit U with respect to the fixed guide wire 350. Can be realized. In this case, since the interlocking mechanism 351 can be omitted, the saddle-stitched booklet can be supported with a simpler structure than the above embodiment.

Further, in the above embodiment, the extending member 343 is provided on one of the holding members 341 and the guide wire 350 is provided on the other holding member 342 side. However, the extending members are provided on both of the holding members 341 and 342. May be provided.
In the above embodiment, the other holding member 342 is fixed in the X direction, and the one holding member 341 moves linearly along the X direction with respect to the other holding member 342, so that the saddle-stitched booklet B However, the two holding members may be provided close to or separated from each other with respect to the saddle stitch booklet.

In the above-described embodiment, an example in which the saddle stitch booklet B is sandwiched between the sandwiching members 341 and 342 is described, but this is an example and the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, it may be a single folded sheet or a plurality of folded sheets. In this case, the holding members 341 and 342 carry the fold side of the folded sheet, and the extending member 343 and the extending member guide the edge end side facing the fold side of the sheet.

In the above embodiment, the extending member 343 is provided so as to be able to extend from the clamping member 341. However, the extending member 343 is only an example and is not limited thereto, and is provided so as to be able to extend from another location. May be. For example, a configuration may be adopted in which a support member that supports the extending member 343 and the like so as to extend from the side of the saddle-stitched booklet B sandwiched by the sandwiching members 341 and 342 is provided in the transport unit U.

Further, in the above embodiment, the extended extending member 343 is provided so as to be along the holding surface of the holding member 341. However, the embodiment is not limited thereto, and the small edge of the saddle-stitched booklet B is not limited thereto. It suffices if it is provided so as to be able to support the cover surface to a degree sufficient to align the section sides and guide to the cutting section 370.

Further, in the above embodiment, the transport unit U provided with the clamping members 341 and 342 moves the saddle stitch booklet B with the spine end side, that is, the fold side upward, and the small edge end side is suspended up and down. However, this is an example and the present invention is not limited to this.
For example, the conveyance unit U including the guide rail L may be provided in the horizontal direction (for example, the X direction or the Y direction) and conveyed in the horizontal direction.

In addition, the structure of each part with which said image forming system 1 is provided is an example to the last, and can be suitably changed in the range which does not deviate from the characteristic of this invention.
For example, part or all of the image forming apparatus 100, the sheet reversing apparatus 200, the sheet processing apparatus 300, and the side stitching processing apparatus 400 constituting the image forming system 1 may be integrated. Further, among the devices included in the image forming system 1, some devices (the paper reversing device 200 and the side stitching processing device 400) may be omitted.
