Description
特許文献1に開示された接合方法では、金属部材の表面に付与された極性官能基と樹脂に含まれる接着性官能基との反応を促進するため、樹脂の溶融温度以上に加熱した上で、所定の時間、金属部材と樹脂部材とを接触させておく必要がある。そのため、接合中に金属部材と樹脂部材とを互いに押圧し続けると、接合部からはみ出す樹脂(すなわちバリ)が増加してしまう問題があった。一方、この接合部におけるバリ発生を抑制するために、接合中に両者を押圧しなければ、樹脂の溶融により発生した気泡が、接合部の樹脂部材内部に残留し、強度低下を招く問題があった。
表面に極性官能基が付与された金属部材と、前記極性官能基と互いに引き合う接着性官能基を含む樹脂部材と、を接合する金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法であって、
第1の荷重で前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材との接合部を加熱するステップと、
前記第1の荷重よりも小さい第2の荷重で前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに接触させつつ、前記樹脂部材を構成する樹脂の溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を保持するステップと、
前記第2の荷重よりも大きい第3の荷重で前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記溶融温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を冷却するステップと、を備えたものである。
このような構成により、接合部におけるバリ発生と気泡による強度低下とをいずれも抑制することができる。
さらに、前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに押圧させる押圧部の位置を固定することが好ましい。
前記接合部を冷却するステップにおいて、前記第3の荷重を、前記第1の荷重よりも小さくすることが好ましい。バリの発生をより一層抑制することができる。
また、前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、前記溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を30秒以上保持することが好ましい。金属部材に付与された極性官能基と樹脂部材に含まれる接着性官能基との化学反応が促進される。
前記金属部材が、アルミニウムを主成分とし、前記樹脂部材が、ポリフェニレンサルファイドを主成分とすることが好適である。
一方の主面に冷却フィンが形成された金属板と、
内部に前記冷却フィンを収納するとともに、冷媒の流路が一体に形成された樹脂製の枠体と、を備えた冷却器の製造方法であって、
前記金属板の前記主面に対し、前記枠体に含まれる接着性官能基と互いに引き合う極性官能基を付与するステップと、
第1の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記金属板と前記枠体との接合部を加熱するステップと、
前記第1の荷重よりも小さい第2の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに接触させつつ、前記枠体を構成する樹脂の溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を保持するステップと、
前記第2の荷重よりも大きい第3の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記溶融温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を冷却するステップと、を備えたものである。
このような構成により、接合部におけるバリ発生と気泡による強度低下とをいずれも抑制することができる。
さらに、前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに押圧させる押圧部の位置を固定することが好ましい。
前記接合部を冷却するステップにおいて、前記第3の荷重を、前記第1の荷重よりも小さくすることが好ましい。バリの発生をより一層抑制することができる。
また、前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、前記溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を30秒以上保持することが好ましい。金属部材に付与された極性官能基と樹脂部材に含まれる接着性官能基との化学反応が促進される。

第1の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記金属板と前記枠体との接合部を加熱し、
前記第1の荷重よりも小さい第2の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに接触させつつ、前記枠体を構成する樹脂の溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を保持し、
前記第2の荷重よりも大きい第3の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記溶融温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を冷却するものである。
このような構成により、接合部におけるバリ発生と気泡による強度低下とをいずれも抑制することができる。
まず、図1を参照して、実施の形態1に係る接合装置について説明する。図1は、実施の形態1に係る接合装置を示す模式的断面図である。実施の形態1に係る接合装置は、金属部材1と樹脂部材2とを接合するための接合装置である。
さらに、ヒータ103の上面におけるx軸方向マイナス側の端部には、電極104aを設けるための凸部103aが設けられている。他方、ヒータ103の上面におけるx軸方向プラス側の端部には、電極104bを設けるための凸部103bが設けられている。図1に示すように、この凸部103a、凸部103bは、金属部材1が載置される平坦部からz軸方向プラス側に突出するように形成されている。
樹脂と接着性改質剤との混合物中における接着性官能基の含有量は、樹脂と接着性改質剤との合計量の0.15〜1.2質量%であることが好ましい。この値が0.15質量%未満では、金属部材1に対する樹脂部材2の接着性が低下する。一方、1.2質量%を超えると、樹脂部材2を成形するときの離型性が悪化する。より好ましくは、0.3〜0.9質量%である。
この相互作用は、接合界面で極性官能基及び接着性官能基の原子、電子などが互いに引き合う作用である。具体的には、極性官能基及び接着性官能基の原子間で、電子の移動・共有を伴う一次結合(イオン結合、共有結合など)と、極性官能基及び接着性官能基の中で、電子密度の偏在が生じ、両官能基同士がクローン力で引き合う二次結合(水素結合、ファンデルワールス結合など)とである。
なお、荷重L1〜L3は一定値である必要はない。
図6は、比較例1に係る接合方法により接合した接合部のミクロ組織写真である。比較例1では、冷却工程において荷重をL2からL3へ増加させずに、L2のままとした。図6に示すように、比較例1では、接合界面IFの近傍の樹脂部材2に気泡が確認される。
図13に示すように、冷却フィン12の両端は、いずれも枠体21に接するように設けられている。なお、図13では、冷却フィン12は破線で示されている。
まず、金属製の冷却部材10の下面と樹脂製の流路構成部材20の上面とを本実施の形態に係る接合方法により接合する。具体的には、天板11の下面の周縁部と枠体21の上面とを接合する。ここで、天板11が図1における金属部材1に対応し、枠体21が図1における樹脂部材2に対応する。図1において、下面を上側にして天板11をヒータ103上に載置し、その上に上面を下側にして枠体21を載置すればよい。接合方法の詳細については、上述の通りであるので省略する。
なお、当然のことながら、底板30と流路構成部材20とを接合してから冷却部材10と流路構成部材20とを接合してもよい。
なお、冷却器の外部に形成されたバリは容易に除去することができる。一方、冷却器の内部に形成されたバリは、除去することが困難であり、冷媒の流れを阻害するなどの問題を招く恐れがある。
例えば、冷却器の底板30が樹脂製であって、流路構成部材20と一体に形成されていてもよい。

Claims (13)
- 表面に極性官能基が付与された金属部材と、前記極性官能基と互いに引き合う接着性官能基を含む樹脂部材と、を接合する金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法であって、
第1の荷重で前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材との接合部を加熱するステップと、
前記第1の荷重よりも小さい第2の荷重で前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに接触させつつ、前記樹脂部材を構成する樹脂の溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を保持するステップと、
前記第2の荷重よりも大きい第3の荷重で前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記溶融温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を冷却するステップと、を備えた金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、
前記樹脂の分解温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を保持する、
請求項1に記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、
前記金属部材と前記樹脂部材とを互いに押圧させる押圧部の位置を固定する、
請求項1又は2に記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記接合部を冷却するステップにおいて、
前記第3の荷重を、前記第1の荷重よりも小さくする、
請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、
前記溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を30秒以上保持する、
請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記極性官能基が、カルボキシル基及びアミノ基の少なくとも一方であり、
前記接着性官能基が、エポキシ基である、
請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記金属部材が、アルミニウムを主成分とし、
前記樹脂部材が、ポリフェニレンサルファイドを主成分とする、
請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 一方の主面に冷却フィンが形成された金属板と、
内部に前記冷却フィンを収納するとともに、冷媒の流路が一体に形成された樹脂製の枠体と、を備えた冷却器の製造方法であって、
前記金属板の前記主面に対し、前記枠体に含まれる接着性官能基と互いに引き合う極性官能基を付与するステップと、
第1の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記金属板と前記枠体との接合部を加熱するステップと、
前記第1の荷重よりも小さい第2の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに接触させつつ、前記枠体を構成する樹脂の溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を保持するステップと、
前記第2の荷重よりも大きい第3の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記溶融温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を冷却するステップと、を備えた冷却器の製造方法。 - 前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、
前記樹脂の分解温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を保持する、
請求項8に記載の冷却器の製造方法。 - 前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、
前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧させる押圧部の位置を固定する、
請求項8又は9に記載の冷却器の製造方法。 - 前記接合部を冷却するステップにおいて、
前記第3の荷重を、前記第1の荷重よりも小さくする、
請求項8〜10のいずれか一項に記載の冷却器の製造方法。 - 前記接合部を保持するステップにおいて、
前記溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を30秒以上保持する、
請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の冷却器の製造方法。 - 一方の主面に冷却フィンが形成された金属板と、
内部に前記冷却フィンを収納するとともに、冷媒の流路が一体に形成された樹脂製の枠体と、を備え、
前記主面に極性官能基が付与された前記金属板と、前記極性官能基と互いに引き合う接着性官能基を含む前記枠体とが接合されており、
前記金属板と前記枠体とを接合する際、
第1の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記金属板と前記枠体との接合部を加熱し、
前記第1の荷重よりも小さい第2の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに接触させつつ、前記枠体を構成する樹脂の溶融温度よりも高い温度に前記接合部を保持し、
前記第2の荷重よりも大きい第3の荷重で前記金属板と前記枠体とを互いに押圧しつつ、前記溶融温度よりも低い温度に前記接合部を冷却する、冷却器。
